- Another one of Scotland's Great Trails, the Arran Coastal Way starts in Brodick. Around 107k, the route follows the coastline although there is an option the include Goatfell, the highest mountain on the island standing at 874m.

We did the day trip in the summer to the Isle, it was just awesome, its double concentrate Scotland, its my bucket list lap now. Maybe next year of 2025.
And certainly helps when you get a sunny day!! Something very cool about running round a whole island!

Cheers man! Yeah a real varied route although turned out quite bit of road esp as had to avoid a section of coastline round the south of the island. Need to plan better around tide times and daylight!!

Cheers man! It's a great route and something cool about running round a full island! Would just suggest going over the day before so you can start first thing. Or go clockwise to hit the tricky coastline first. Also double check the tide times as that section of coastline along south/east becomes unpassable I believe!

Cheers man! Yeah it's a great and varied route. Just keep in mind the amount of road down the west coast and give plenty if time for the south section. Oh and getting some sunny weather helps!! 😂

Cheers man! Well no, the earlier ferry was just a passenger one, that or else fully booked for vehicles. Ideally I'd have headed over the night before and started early!

Yeah, was a bit soon after doing RAS, but not really one for sitting still 😂 tough route that, just the contrast between long road sections and rough rocky coastline!

Luckiely, this is not a coast with lots of sand beaches 😂. That would be a torture. But when I think about that - is there an ultra like this 🤔.....
It's a pretty varied route! Don't think it would lend itself to an uktra however, a fair bit of road and some really slow sections over rocks!
