I went panning for gold in the portland suburbs and actually found a few small pieces of gold! I was not expecting to find gold near buildings outside of the mountains
Nothing like finding gold while panning next to a mcdonalds and hotels in the Portland Metro area! The water definitely isn't as nice as the fresh mountains. icky!
I know exactly where you are, right under the I-205 overpass! The Clackamas is actually pretty clean for the most part, just maybe not that section right before it empties into the Willamette. You should try the Sandy River out in Troutdale!

I tried the sandy river up near welcomes and didn’t find any gold. Only black sand. Is there flour gold in troutdale on the sandy?
