    In this vid, I show you what might be going wrong if you are leaving spotting on hydrophobic glass. This is glass where it tends to bead a lot rather than sheet down the glass. There are several reasons which we are aware of like tds and frame vents but one of the reasons is misunderstood...........

      I kink the pole hose. The hose is Rhino tube from Reach-iT though which is one of the best to be able to do this. Then, when I want to walk away, I just stuff it into the Reach-iT kink - a small bit of tube that is attached to the pole. se the video on it here: ua-cam.com/video/vT5nwkf0FN0/v-deo.html

    Beading is the main problem with WFP's. It's nothing to do with dirt on the window or dirt on your equipment, your cleaning the window just fine with these. It's all to do with droplets forming and then attracting dirt from the air as it dries. No amount of rinsing will dry out properly.
    I was a WFP user 10 years ago but have since stopped using it. I am considering getting another system and being selective to certain jobs.
    Thanks for the video though.

    Hi Chris always had problems cleaning hydrophobic glass as it spotted alot but I now added a water softener cartridge to my purification system and has really made a difference no spotting
    My water is quite high over 400 ppm so the water softener for me a real benefit along with an anti scale filter two 20 inch filters 5 micron size sediment and carbon and a dual di vessel I can’t go wrong

      Technically no but it is not worth the risk. You can remain confident if you stick to say 015 and under.

      I would never go above 010. I've tried at 015 like you said Wagga and it caused spotting. Stuck to what was told me by a trusted local wfp guy and never have any problems.

    Hi Paul, I was thinking of doing a fan jet video. The issue I have with this is that you must have the equipment to drive the fan jets properly or they won't work right. For example if you have a backpack, then it is unlikely that you will get enough pressure and flow to get a good fan. Mostly I think it's more about people needing to upgrade their systems. A good rinse can be achieved with all types of jets but with a powerful system, 100 degree fans can be unbelievable. I have to get the video done....

    Hi Chris what's a good starter pole and brush for obvious first cleans and sills? .. currently following your build for a trolley system :-) trying to be as cost effective as I can as I'm a tradder but want to try wfp .. cheers James

    • @MyWagga

      Get a Harris pole from B & Q - really cheap and will get you going. You will need an angle adapter too and a bit of DIY. As for a brush, there are no real cheap options. Gardiners do extemely light sill brushes but it will pay off to get one.

    Hi Chris, thanks for the vids. Extremely helpful. Can I ask, by the time you were fininshed there was still droplets on the window. Is this normal with hydrophobic glass ? and did thet#y , or will they dry back spotless as it were ? Thanks Again !!

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  6 років тому

      R Wheeler Hi, yes this is the way it works. You just leave the glass wet and if you have done it right, then there will be no spots. Good scrub and even better rinse.

  • @SeymourSunshine
    @SeymourSunshine 6 років тому +3

    Maybe this is a daft idea, but why spend all that time and water rinsing? Why not just blade it off when it's a window that's quite easy to reach? I know that the squeegee doesn't glide too well using pure water, but it can be done. Precisely zer chance of spotting then!

  • @jackomalley3687

    Waterfed pole alone won't get a really dirty window clean enough. Also I can go up with a strip washer bronze woolmand be done much quicker. Double hung windows are also some.of.ykur toughest to rinse

    hi wagga, love your insight into the window cleaning game.
    I'm currently trying out different flow delivery's for the wfp, I have been experimenting with fan jets, 4 jets, 2pencil and 2fan jets,
    can you please do a video on the effectiveness off different flow delivery systems on different types of glass?
    I know its a big ask but something I cant seem to work out for myself and I'm sure it would be great help for others too.
    its something that's been debated on the forums and people swear by 100 degree fans or two pencils or rinse bars but there is no real evidence only opinions.
    with the way you investigate and and test things you would be the ideal person for the job.
    been a big fan of yours for years
    many thanks

    Hi Chris, been following you for years and you have helped me set up my wee business over last 6 years many thanks, my concern with this higher pressure is time it takes to empty/ refill backpack compared to lower pressure longer rinse method, is higher pressure worth time loss? Olso what size jets are you using
    Thanks again
    James

    • @MyWagga
      @MyWagga  5 років тому

      Hi and thank you its nice to know. It's actually a higher flow rate rather than pressure but anyway, it is worth using more water as you will work faster and get more reliable results as the rinse will be more consistent. Mind you, we are talking about maintenance cleans and doing tops only whilst using some sort of tap system efficiently to conserve water.
