My family was a refugee from Peshawar in 1947. I have therefore watched Pakistan very closely since my college days. I lived with many Pakistanis in Kuwait where I worked for a decade. It is my considered opinion that Pakistan in its present form will not survive for the next five years. It will be divided into independent Punjab, Baluchistan, Sindh, and Pakhtoonkwah. I do not say this in anger or ridicule but based purely on the path that Pakistan took when it was created. Muzammil Shah is my favorite Pakistani and Imran Khan is the least liked person.
India too will split. A forcibly created zoo by the British to suppress dozens of culturally, historically, linguistically and racially separated nations from over 10,000 years, will not last long. South Asia is a region like Europe and not a natural country. Whoever joined it temporarily had to use a sword or gun. For themselves, they created countries on the basis of language , history and culture. France is for french, Italy for Italians. For South Asian monkeys , they didn't consider them humans or people with different languages, cultures, histories and races. What do Chinese burmese states of so called northeast India have anything to do with South India and North India? What do the States of South India have anything in common with each other or with North Indian states? Outside India South and north don't hang out with each other. Over 98% of India has nothing in common with Pakistan but to divert public attention from 15 freedom fights inside the country, indian media and politicians have kept them completely obsessed with 10000's miles apart totally alien Pakistan - supposedly one big problem,. remove the British-given army and then see.

Speaking as a Muslim from India Pakistan was always on the right track. No country in this whole world has always made the correct decision. However Pakistan has managed to survive and even thrive to some extent in the (and this is in no way an exaggeration) MOST DIFFICULT NEIGHBORHOOD IN THE WORLD. And it has, by and large, managed to stick to its principles of being a "fortress of Islaam". Turkey has just woken up to realize its Islamic nature. The Iranian revolution was inclusive of Sunnis. Saudi Arabia is a puppet of USA and has no real means to affect change in the Muslim World. The Africans (Egyptian and Libyans) have relied more on Arab nationalism with.just a sprinkling of Islaam and when Mohammed Morsi tried to do make a change, he failed. The Central Asians have spent too long under the Russian yoke. The Indonesians and Malaysians do not have the strategic positioning to make independent decision. Iraq and Syria were destroyed by the Americans.
Without Pakistan the Hindus would have dominated the entire Subcontinent and Pakistani Muslims would be in the same boat as us Indians.
