I was a frequent reader of Taleem o Tarbiyt till my graduation and this podcast reminds me of the feeling i get when I go to buy a new magazine every month with pocket money. Real golden days of our era.
Same I read it from 2011 to 2014 every month
That's why we need to hear from educated people from different backgrounds, the guy is giving a different perspective to life that we were unaware of and some wouldn't even understand what he is saying. Like the noise level thing which exhausts you by the end of the day which you don't feel when you live abroad with lower noise levels.
It was a kind of really good conversation. I like his thoughts and sense of explaining questions from different perspectives. Although he lived 10 years of life in the Western world, still his thoughts are giving importance to our culture, language, and education system. These kinds of personalities should be given space in our country for improvement. Thankyou Junaid bhai for this conversation.
Salaam from Canada,
Very fruitful conversation.
I really appreciate all the efforts of both gentlemen.
Keep up the good work!
I think this episode must be at least 2 hours, I learnt so many things from this episode, love you from india

Excellent and sensitive topic .This topic is closer to my heart . As an educationist, I have been advocating it throughout my entire career. It is the dire need of the hour to be indigenous and honour our language .
Love you Junaid Bhai. Happy to see you choose great topic of learning and education. Why do people make negative comments about such such serious issue. The progress of any society depends on the progress of education in that society. Education is the milk of that lioness, whoever drinks it will roar. Love from India🇮🇳
Education is not going to solve any problem. If you have a thinking that your religion is Supreme and other religions have to be destroyed, whatever you learn, you will be a menace. Educated Muslims are demanding sharia law in western countries.
One of the best Podcast, Juniad Bhai please invite SAHIL ADEEM on your podcast.
What an amazing insight about publication business.... I am also involved in same work. I have worked with Rizwan for Kifayat Publications and had a wonderful and professional attitude from them.

Reading Culture is mostly absent in the Indian Subcontinent, more so in vernacular languages
In the USA, Andrew Carnegie and Rockefeller ( "Robber Barrons" of 19th century USA) were building public libraries and Cultural centres across the length and breadth of the country (opera House et al) to burnish their image in society,
One thing for sure, these changes in culture happen top down rather than being bottom up
Elites here are mostly uninterested in these things
EXCELLENT COURAGE, THANKS.
Such an informative, amazing podcast it was. Thank you junaid bhai for inviting him
Good choice of topic. Looking forward to the video!

Shud I dance

your big fan from delhi india.
I really liked this episode! I am from the land of Urdu (Western U.P.), it's always good to see how far my land has had influence on. Haha.
Also, since most of your viewers are from India maybe sometimes ask your guests' opinion on what they think of the Indian system as well(?); I would have personally loved had Mr. Rizwan Saeed talked about India as well when he was comparing the education systems and the school curriculums around the world.
About the majority comment, we can’t say for sure because he is widely popular in Pakistan as well. Maybe Indians tend to comment more hence giving the impression there are more Indian fans than Pakistani
I think Khari Boli is the language of Western UP

We need more conversations like this.
Pakistan has more than 70 languages. The language hierarchy is: English first, Urdu second and then the indigenous languages. English and Urdu are already thriving here. We need to give official recognition to indigenous languages and start teaching our children in their mother tongues as recommended by UNESCO.
Agreed. Childhood education should be primarily be in the child’s native language and dialect. Children can learn up to 6 languages by the time they are teenagers so it won’t be a daunting task to create trilingualism. Tho it will be a challenge.
@Syedbakeruddin Bekar lol
I mean, why would a person living in a city need any language other than urdu and English? It would be far more beneficial to learn useful languages instead.
Can't wait for the end of the year! I will be shooting my vlogs in Pakistan 🇵🇰 ❤ your VLOGS 🎉 INSHALLAH
Please do another podcast episode with him. A longer one. I felt so glad finally someone discussed Issues of publishing industry.
As an aspiring book author, Please ask the following questions:
1 - Total readership in Pakistan of books other than curriculum and its comparison with our neighborhood countries and whole world.
2 - What are the complete steps to get a writer book published in this country?
3 - is there anything can be done on the public's side to build reading communities and libraries in Pakistan?
4 - As much as I know, there are publication houses in Pakistan too, such as Oxford University press, Liberty, Vanguard etc. Are these publishing houses going into loss?
5 - What's the best business model for any publishing house in Pakistan's context, for publishing English books other than curriculum
Thank You
Such an important and relevant conversation. Let’s share this with our friends and communities and beyond. Listening to this with my daughters. Onwards and Upwards Rizwan!

Amazing episode
Your podcast's are the only knowledgeable thing in pakistani UA-cam community ❤
That podcast was really amazing, I learned a lot from it. But the sad thing is that it has only 44K views. I don't understand why Pakistani people prefer watching pointless daily vlogs over informative and knowledgeable content like this...
Anyway, it was a really good podcast, and I'm grateful that we have mentors like Junaid Sir, who are knowledgeable and create great content.
Thank you so much, Junaid Sir. ❤️🤝🏼
Can you make another podcast with him , this conversation was attractive and knowledgeable

Nonihaal used to have special editions on occasions like “Khofnaak Number” which focused on specific genres of stories.
Taleem o Tarbiyat was really good.
I love reading “Us” magazine that was aimed at youth or teenagers.
In the 90s era , we read Inspector Jamshed series or Imran Series etc.
Yes I read nonihal phool magazine taleem o tarbiat and digest books and newspapers like 11 years ago childhood memories all of that is gone due to social media

Good Episode but seems too short. Really hoping it would continue for long and even at the end it seemed like rush end by Junaid.
Wonderful podcast.

36:03 well said sir.
Great work.
Reading, sports and traveling ( I am blessed enough) remains my hobbies. I enjoy them but as my hair have started to gray I have realized all the positives it sprinkled in to my life and character. It’s sad to see this trend dying in my cousins and younger generations. I have started to see that with wisdom of books the tendency to sell out to populists and ill meaning agendas is tremendous

Pakistanis Universities don't even have their own curriculums?? 🤔
When Living in Karachi I was greatly impressed with the India published Computer and Computer Science Books. They were marked as funded by Great Britian for use in India only. Very cheap, but very good. I never thought about this undercutting your Pakistan Publishers. Kinda sad really and I never had a clue. Thanks for this interview.

Official Language Pakistan ki English thi baki Sindhi, Punjabi.... languages log bolte the to kya jarurat thi Urdu ko North UP & Delhi se utha ke Pakistan ki national language banana ? Local languages pakistani low samjhte h & Ab Pakistan ko Urdu se bhi dikkat hone lagi h kyonki Pakistani ant & culture ko duniya India se jod ke dekhti h kyonki Hindi & Urdu lagbhag same h... Pakistani apne culture ki identity hi banate rahte h jabki khud apni languages hata ke imported language apne upar daal Li..aaj Pakistan me Punjabi bolne Wale India se 4 times h fir bhi Punjabi ko Pakistan se jod ke nahi dekha jata jabki Bangladeshiyon ne Bangali ko apni language bana liya...
👍👍🤞
34:00 thank you for speaking it so "loud". i always irritated and annoyed by loud noises here in pak. while driving we even keep the ac on during winters because we can not bear the noise out side...
Sir I agree with the point k problem are teachers not students but at many places in sindh specially I have seen the self seated student who comes on daddy money in universities they don't study and since the system in universities is ratta fixation they easily get the degree so what's the difference between that guy who spent 4 years chilling and ratta pass and the one who understands the concepts very well and teachers do prefers that ratta boy and for you info I am a who has dealt with that system in sindh. Did intermediate from here and got into that entry test centre paradox and in university circle.
How will you change that in Pakistan this rotten system which easily frustrates a creative mind.
This Podcast is among one of my favorite podcast of yours Junaid Bhai ❤
Thanks for giving such a wonderful content 😊
Learnt so much things about the education and schooling.
WAITING FOR SECOND PART ❤
PS: Please bring the second part of this soon

very short. should be two hours
There are alot of talented animators planning to leave Pakistan
We Pakistanis must work on being taught in our native languages like Punjabi, Balochi, Balti etc. given the right conditions, children can learn up to 6 languages by the time they are teenagers or adults so it won’t be a daunting task to create a trilingual Pakistani society which is fluent and literate in native language, Urdu and English. But the first step to achieving this would be to recognize that although the narrative sold to us is that Urdu is our national language, it is not the ground reality. Every Pakistani must realize his/her right to be given world class education in his/her native language. Not knowing English / Urdu should not be a barrier to achieving big inside Pakistan. Secondly, information and knowledge must be translated into native languages to be disseminated into every household. The child is more likely to absorb the content and carry it forward.
Well that's the thing isn't it Pakistan has not been publishing any resourceful material for the past 70 years.
Idhar bus ek hi company ha full enjoyment mode pa ha

But kiya hum apni language ko importance de sake ge i think hamre bache to ache se urdu likhna b bhool gae roman irdu itni common ho gai ha k hum actual urdu likhna bhool gae

Why promote negativity about Pakistan always? I live in Canada and let me tell you its not easy you should be encouraging students and people there on how gain skills online and make their life better with smart investments so they can make Pakistan a better country. I live in Canada most of the Pakistanis are living in poverty paycheck to paycheck so it's not glamorous and most of them are not getting jobs easy compared to Indians. I am learning web development in Canada so I can get skills and experience so i can come to Pakistan make a company to make the country and myself prosper.

Good discussion, but you can not force people to leave their culture (sindhi, punjabi etc) and just focus on Urdu.. we should have focused on elevating our cultures rather than making a mix of foreign languages (Urdu / english)
Ya to puri urdu bolain ya english,
Your podcast are very different I think you are playing your part in developing awareness keep up with the good work.
