- Elsa and Barron built the most incredible tiny off grid A Frame in beautiful Colorado and after chatting online for years, we finally went out to see them and get to meet in real life.
There is something so special about meeting someone you feel like you already know. Like deep in your soul there is this connection and while you might not know the details of their life (how old they are, the name of their parents, what they wanted to be when they grew up) you have this sense of deep knowing of who they are. That is what this week felt like in Colorado for me. Connecting with people who felt like we've known for years.
And this A Frame was just PURE MAGIC. It's hard to find the words about how special this space was for me. Rejuvenating. Inspiring. Just pure connection to everything I'd been craving for years.
Not to mention it is also set up so well. Between the propane heat that lets you be comfortable all night long, the little wood stove, portable battery for a hot water kettle, easy composting toilet setup, comfy bedding, lots of snacks, the list goes on and on. They really thought of everything when they put it together and makes me want to recreate it on our land!

Dana you might also be inspired by Erin on Wild Wonderful Off Grid. *With two small boys and a baby girl strapped to her back, Erin was a pretty bad-ass who built a very beautiful A frame home with her husband Josh…not help him but with him equally as a partner every day.* On top of being a mother, wife (who never let her husband work or fix problems or anything alone), builder, she also handled the farm animals, grew & processed the meat, plus created a very successful YT channel. Now Erin and Josh are building the addition to their house and have too many other businesses and things going on to list here. Their story is truly incredible! 💙
There was this moment of confusion with seeing Elsa and Barron's house and Lou and Dana and Max in the same frame. Also no snow and sunshine. Nice to see all my favorite people in the same place on a Sunday morning :)

how great that you two have gotten together, yes absolutely have been super delighted with both of your adventures, I have been tuning in to you both for s few years now, Elsa and Barron were in the scamp moving every week or so and I fell in love with idea of scamp or some other fiberglass bubble home, dream, yet unrealized, but maybe someday, and you and Lou were just starting out in Ody. The first time I watched your channel you were saying goodbye to that beautiful Shepard Alfie! love both of your channels to bits ✨
Loved their van build/van life days in Europe. I remember how attached they got to that wonderful German Shepard Alfie, I cried with her when it was time for her to say goodbye. They really put in the work to train Freya. Amazing that they got to connect in person with Elsa and Barron. I love that!

Wow how neat, you came to the state I live in too. I live near the Garden of the Gods which probably was not far from you judging from the rocks and mountains that i saw in your video. Lovely to have a change of scenery. Sorry but I have to comment on the shoes on the sofa. We NEVER do that here in France. I'vd always been fascinated with the American culture of feet on the bed or sofa with shoes still on. I've quite a few friends who did that and were shocked that we had to remove our shoes upon entering my parents' home...
MANY Americans remove shoes before entering main living spaces in the home. I am a 70yo American and know ZERO people who wear shoes on a bed or couch. There are no societal rules or expectations about it of course. That would be creepy. To each their own. Plenty of people who remove shoes in all parts of the World, also allow dogs on their furniture and bed. Shoes would be better.
@@earthangel8730 Thank you sir, I'm very happy to hear it and I should not have made such a blanket statement. No pets on bed either, unless they are only house bound (talking about cats here) or paws have been diligently cleaned upon entering the house ;)

I would love to live off grid and currently planning a future with that in mind. I want a place of peace
Living off grid doesn't guarantee a place of peace. That comes from within.
I've lived mostly off grid for 30 years. It's definitely quieter (but even that is changing). Peace is a way of being no matter where you live physically.
