It is always amazing to go back to a place in time where you were happy at that moment in time and free to roam. Each moment has its own joys and its own heartaches in our life. Things we would not trade because they make us who we are.
The Scamp was great when you were both starting out and it holds some very special memories which you can hold on to. Your decision to settle down was so right and it has and will have different memories in equal measure. I never understood the idea that a company has to grow or it will fail. I use to ask, “Why can’t we just continue to do a great job for the customers we have?” I was not popular with upper management in either retail or healthcare. I’ve watched your channel from almost the beginning (the thumbnail of you all made up). You have helped me on my journey to discover my own true values.

I love you guys and your journey and all of the things you've learned. You a have inspired me to take more risk while planning carefully. Also, I love Camp - he's awesome and beautiful - I have a spoiled pup and I adore him. But Man! Pilot is so beautiful and so majestic - she's only a little annoying. But she's a pup and you have to accept that. I had a husky and he was incredibly mischievous and demanding. He demanded attention and if he didn't get it he destroyed stuff all kinds of stuff - he did really bad stuff - mind blowing pissed off stuff. But when he got older and got consistent training I came to appreciate the dog I had and the talents he came with. My silver Siberian husky actually saved my life four different times and I learned to understand more about the breed and it's talents. I can tell you from experience that Pilot will mellow out, know her roll, and her place, know and follow the rules you set and train her with and be the best dog you've ever had. Really, she will see her job as pleasing you. It just takes time, her maturity, and your consistent training of whatever you want or expect from her. Once she understands what you want she will want to do it to please you and she will deliver every time.
I went back and watched all of them. It was such a wild ride. And I LOVE watching what you guys are doing now too. And always, your videos are beautiful and that makes it so fun to watch 14:56
I spent 5 years, camping, searching for the perfect summer spot where I could have an RV on my own land. The best place I found was in Williams, AZ. I bought the land and got the best RV for me, and I have spent 2 summers there in camping bliss. I go for the fresh air and the quiet and I come back to my winter base camp, completely satiated. I hope it continues. The times I spent searching were amazing, but nothing touches the happiness of having found what I was looking for.

You have come so far as people from your life in the Scamp to life in your Home. Now you have the option as you said Elsa, now you can go on Adventures/Vacations in the Scamp. We did the traditional work work work Vacation a few weeks a year and a lot of that was in our VW van or Boler trailer. Now just retired, renovating an old house and longing for a few weeks on the road camping. Maybe some day we will make the trip from east coast Canada to that beautiful lands you call home.
Watching the "retro-reels" was sort've like veiwing "The Wonder Years" TV program, nostalgia in full depth. I remember watching those vids of ya'll when they were new, made me mist up a little. Bless you guys, and thanks for all that you've shared over the years that you've been adventuring and growing!

It is amazing and fascinating that some of our "hardest" times can also be so nostalgic when we're remembering them back. I had one especially hard trip from Oklahoma to California that included 2 AAA towing situations one of those being a wheel popping off, etc. - and my daughters and I sort of laugh about that trip now. All that said, I so enjoy watching your adventures and have been watching for years now. I love your honesty in how difficult living that way was and the reward you have been able to gift yourselves for the sacrifice you made. :)

"Special girl"...cracked me up!! I has a "special" cat once so get that comment. You have many of those moments where you just sit there and watching them thinking "what the hell is wrong with you or going on in your head" but love every moment too and would change nothing! The cat I had would do literal do back flips chasing her tail instead of the normal just run in circles. Her zoomie's were more like a par core event! This cat could run up a wall 10 feet and launch herself off it and would get so excited playing she would run on her hind legs! Everyday was a new adventure. She lived to be 19 and I miss her everyday! She was a freaking tornado/nut case just living her best life! Thank God she picked me because a sane person or family may not have been able to handle that much crazy...LOL! Man she was fast!! You two rock and love your videos! Not sure I could live your life but I also learn a lot from you two so...maybe!

Haven’t watched in a while. Saw the headline and had to watch today. I’m looking at my dirty scamp and debating moving back in, or at least cleaning it up and taking it out again.
It is a fine line between having the safety comfort and security of a stable home base, versus the freedom of possessing so little that you feel like you don’t need a home base. We crave one, when without the other.
I miss your scamp adventures, it's what made me subscribe. It would be nice to see you guys stay in the scamp at least once a month, even if it is on your property.

"Special girl"...cracked me up!! I has a "special" cat once so get that comment. You have many of those moments where you just sit there and watching them thinking "what the hell is wrong with you or going on in your head" but love every moment too and would change nothing! The cat I had would do literal do back flips chasing her tail instead of the normal just run in circles. Her zoomie's were more like a par core event! This cat could run up a wall 10 feet and launch herself off it and would get so excited playing she would run on her hind legs! Everyday was a new adventure. She lived to be 19 and I miss her everyday! She was a freaking tornado/nut case just living her best life! Thank God she picked me because a sane person or family may not have been able to handle that much crazy...LOL! Man she was fast!! You two rock and love your videos! Not sure I could live your life but I also learn a lot from you two so...maybe!

Sometimes in life I’ve questioned what if I had gone that way or done that instead (whatever that may be) and then I realize that I am where I was meant to be and it always feels good to know that.

I absolutely love your videos. I feel like I have connection with each of you. The videography and storytelling and editing and commentary. Just all of it is so calming and beautiful. I’ve been watching for about 5 years now (I think!) and every week I get exciting to see a new one. Y’all inspire me to live a similar way and for now as I’m making my adult life, to get out there and explore as much as I can.
Haven’t watched in a while. Saw the headline and had to watch today. I’m looking at my dirty scamp and debating moving back in, or at least cleaning it up and taking it out again.
It is a fine line between having the safety comfort and security of a stable home base, versus the freedom of possessing so little that you feel like you don’t need a home base. We crave one, when without the other.
As always great video but, I did miss Camp. But, got some good Pilot time too. Sing it Barron!
