I’m always blown away by Puddles. That voice is NO gimmick, that’s raw talent. Dio is difficult to sing, up there with the national anthem in technical craziness.
Puddles does have an amazing skill with his voice, his composition skills are equally impressive. I can’t hear War Pigs without thinking of his cover of it. Like hearing Hurt and not thinking about Cash’ s cover of it.

I've wanted to see Primus since the early nineties, but never got the chance until this show. It was awesome; loved every second, but the highlight of the night was watching a 6’8” Pagliacci sing Holy Diver with Primus as his backing band and nail every note.

One of the most important aspects of doing a vocal (or any instrument) cover is getting the timing and phrasing to match the original recording. Few can do it well, usually off on their own "interpretation". I'm really impressed at how tightly he nails that down here. Just spot on.

Stumbled upon this... and so glad I did! My first concert was July 30, 1976 was Blackmore's Rainbow with Dio as lead vocalist. And have long digged Puddles! He has an amazing voice... and it works so well on this!!

Stumbled upon this... and so glad I did! My first concert was July 30, 1976 was Blackmore's Rainbow with Dio as lead vocalist.
And have long digged Puddles! He has an amazing voice... and it works so well on this!!
Saw Puddles at the local theater with my daughter a couple years back, it was a VERY entertaining show with a wide variety of music. Definitely worth the admission price!
