My only complaint is that apparently the algorithm is moving two months slower for me. What the heck is this, algorithm! ..but it is kinda strange, yet also impressive, that it seems to know that GWAR is the only thing in the A. V. club that will interest me.
When I did EMDR therapy the therapist told me to come up with a happy safe place that I could think of at the end of each session to come back down from talking about trauma and such. I chose the crowd of a GWAR show with Brockie belting out Sick of You.
Brockie's dead man. They should have just stopped the project then. It shows they care more about the money then the art. Could have started a new project with a new name keeping the same basic idea even playing GWAR songs but to respect David and everything he did to just keep using his brand seems really fucked to me. I could be totally wrong and maybe this is what David would have wanted but from the outside looking in it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

GWAR has lost great talent over the decades like Danielle Stampe, Chuck Varga, Don Draculich, Dave Musel, Hunter Jackson etc I'm glad these losses don't mean the end for GWAR Yes it's not the same without Dave but I think that gwar has never been the same, it's always changing styles and members come and go as they please A recent case is when Brent Purgason left, they got a member from Cancer Christ to take the spot and he's great. As long as GWAR continues to find great talent, gwar will not die. (Apologies if I got the spelling of names wrong)

Ive seen GWAR 19 times now (once a year since i first saw them in 2005, minus 2020 obviously, but i did see them twice in 2006 so...) i am desperately hoping, with my soul, that they keep touring until at least 2027...my son was born in 2019 and one of the first things i established early with his mom was that i have permission (we're not together) to take him to a concert when he reaches age 8...its sooooo close i can already picture it.. PLEASE keep touring

This is going to sound weird, but this made me tear up. My late best friend loved gwar, he used to play it on his radio show in college in the late 1980s and early '90s. He didn't live to see the Barbie movie, but he would have loved that, and he would have loved this.
For people who are long-term followers of the band, it is sentimental. They've been through so much and so many members so this song kind of looking at all they're about and all they've been through is sweet and nostalgic.
I got teary eyed as well. My ex husband had been one of my best friends since we were like 14 and we watched GWAR's "movies", listened to a ton of GWAR, and years later went and saw them a few times (Ragnarök era, we were 20 by then). Even after we spilt, we stayed friends and I was friends with his 2nd wife (we were all friends when we were teens). He passed away 2 months before his 36th birthday and when I turned 36 about 5 months later, it was the first time I'd ever been older than him. It's been 13 years now and whenever I see stuff like this, it makes me think of him and how much he would have loved this.
