I’m not sure if I can be bothered with a concert now because of that! I was at a football match recently and someone was recording/filming bits 😮😂. Yes really!!
@@gesp5151I only record like 2 videos like 30-40 seconds long to show to people but the rest of the show I’m hardly on my phone now there was someone infront of me at a Megadeth concert and he was on Facebook marketplace
I got to see DIO with Motorhead and Iron Maiden back in 2003 in Phoenix, Arizona! Awesome concert and everybody was at their best! Also got to see R.J.D. with Heaven & Hell (Black Sabbath) in 2007 with Machine Head and Megadeth in Phoenix as well!
I agree. The original band was incredible. Although, I have always wished that they had a second guitar player. Things got pretty thin and empty during solos. Or at least they could have turned the keyboards up a little bit.
I discovered Black Sabbath at the age of 13 in 1981 with RJD at the helm. It was a great time to grow up. I’m glad I got to see all my favorite bands in their prime, and a time when tickets were less than 20 bucks and we could sit wherever we wanted.
I remember those killer days. We hit just about every rock and metal band’s shows at the Portland coliseum for about $12-$25 depending. Man I miss those days.
Keep the Faith! The Kids play Rock N Roll!!! My favorite current bands have teenagers in them like Mäneskin, The Warning, and Lilliac. We're Heavy Duty!!! We aaareree Defenders of the Faaaaiiiiitttthhh!!! 🤘😈🤘
To hear Dio talk shit about Vivian years later was shocking and sad. Those guys stuck with Dio for almost no pay and got none of the t-shirt and merchandise money from the tours
This is my tribute to Dio Once upon a time a Man God roamed the earth , his name was Ronnie James Dio and Kings of Kings across the land feared this entity because he was able to eviscerate them with a single breath . Fortunately for mankind he was a loving , kind and humble ruler .
A raw, authentic, and visceral sound. An intense energy and a unique spark from someone who truly knows how to show what they're made of. Sadly, young people today have no idea what that even is. The world we live in now is disposable and deceptive. We're trapped in a culture of the fleeting and superficial. Watch this performance and indulge in the purest, most genuine rock 'n' roll!
Fucking Legend. We saw Ronnie live when he was lead singer of Black Sabbath on their 'Black And Blue' Tour, a few years earlier. 1980, Rockford Speedway, Rockford Illinois.
Fantastic footage , i've never seen before . Rob Halford might be the metal god , Ozzy Osbourne might be the prince of darkness but Ronnie James Dio is the god father IMO . What an amazing voice and legacy he has left behind .... the almighty man on the silver mountain .
The godfather of heavy metal vocals is John Lawton. Check out his band called Lucifer's friend back in 1970. Where do you think Dio and Rob halford and Kloss mine got their style from.

I always considered Vivian one of the greatest players in the world, especially when it comes to frasing and feeling, not withstanding his great technique, but lately I started listening to drummers, and by Jove, I fell in love with the sound of Vinnie. It always sounds so rinkeling, to clear and dynamic. I don't think Ronnie fully realized what kind of powers he was dealing with. It's a kind of magic. Else they would have made many more great records together. They were a band in the truest sense of the word. After Vivian left, it was a company.
So cool to see this! If you're a DIO fan and you haven't already, you HAVE TO SEE: "Dio: Dreamers never Die" the Bangerfilms documentary on him. You will be amazed and you will cry, but God damnit you will be INSPIRED!! Rock on, DIO! 🤘 ✌

Yes his stature is tiny but his voice is colossal.

He was influenced by Vince Neil 🤘🏻
The 80´s are still alive. Long live Rock and Roll and long live DIO!!!
Jimmy Bain was a great bassist and singer. Perfect fit for this band.
songwriter too
Loved him in Rainbow too
Absolutely great footage… this is what is was all about folks
Vivian Campbell with that mid range tone....love it

Strange thing that in the 80s, very few bands paid for a good audio mix from the soundboards. This was probably aired live on television.
What a great mix. Rudy Sarzo
