neat! when I drag raced my HO cars in the hey day! LOL!! I used to fold over the tops of the pick up shoes so they can't drop down as far and what this did was keep the nose of the cars down better.
Cool video! Yeah you can't compare a 3.5 ohm arm to a 6 ohm arm, it will not be a fair race. Also I believe the GT version of Jag cars have independent front end and dual flanged rear hubs and the non GT version does not.
Hello dan love your enthusiasm for the hobby. Great vidoes as always. You tell it like it is. Jags stuff is great. I can not figure why the auto world cars are so frealing expensive. There is no comparisons between the proformance of the jags chassis and the autoworld chassis but autoworld about the same price or higher. Even the dash cars will smoke the autoworld cars. I support autoworld but they should be 20 dollar cars. Keep up the great work dan
So the "X" "Traction" chassis was begun by Johnny Lightning years before Auto World bought the line from Playing Mantis. It was never intended to be pronounced like the tooth removal procedure used by dentist's, "extraction". Ai doesn't understand and neither do more than a few people. Bryan Young really got it rolling at the same time he was having all his remaining teeth removed. X Traction. Not Xtraction.
And in the very beginning it was common for some to call it the "Traction" chassis. Apparently they just didn't see or recognize the huge X on the package right in front of the word Traction. This kind of thing is particularly common on ebay where sellers who know next to nothing about what they are selling look at what the other sellers call things. Then you get the "snowball" effect. The majority of things called "rare" on ebay are actually common and sellers are more than happy to believe what they have is rare since that's what some other seller says. Very few slotcars ever produced are truly rare. 4008 of those new competition packs. That makes them fairly common. Not abundant but it will be a long time before they become "rare" if ever. Dollar value is a whole different subject. The point is it helps a lot to understand things with a basis in fact other than what someone else says. It's actually common for people to be wrong as a whole. "My people perish for a lack of knowledge".
What are you using it for? You can buy way over priced Chassis like Viper or a great priced chassis is the DR1 GT. I wouldn't use Viper for dragracing!
There is actually 3 chassis used for Dragracing HO The DR1 GT is an INLINE. The AFX is a CAN. The AW 4 gear is a PANCAKE. The question you need to ask yourself is how fast do you want or need to go? And how much money do you want to spend?
We are all running afx, We have not set rules yet but we need to, one friend bought a jag dr-1 for our next race, so we will definitely need to set boundaries, appreciate you responding, and appreciate your help
just remember to keep the racing to its own class! Dr1 and DR1 GT and the most affordable speed for your money. You can also use them as Xtraction chassis
Really, you compare a 3.5 ohm with polymer motor magnets to a stock AW 16 ohm with ceramic motor magnets, what do expect to happen, put a 3.5 ohm pancake motor and polymer motor magnets in the AW chassis and the picture will be reversed or put a $8 6 ohm and $7 polymer magnets in a AW and run it against a DR1 6ohm and see what happens, either would be closer to comparing apples to apples instead of an apple to a watermelon.
The chrome funny car looks fantastic. Glad to see the track running. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Another great video. It’s going to be fun to watch these cars drag race. I’m also a big fan of JAG HOBBIES.
It's been a long time coming!

That is correct!

What is faster between dr1-gt and the viper, compared to afx mega g+?

What voltage do these cars run at?
They can run at 9v 18v and 22v.
For the contest we are running 22v
