I’m in the process of building an intek but I cannot find 20 over pistons for a 40 or 44 I was told 49 might work but I’d have to bore out the cylinders but ec carburetors is out of stock and have been for awhile
Can you use the aftermarket Pistons with new rings on them in the stock engine where there's no ridge in the bores? Then you would just have to order some rods and you'd have another backup engine.
Do they leak right where they meet the carb? I noticed mine was pretty deformed from years of heat at the carb I got a newer motor that has a plastic intake and a single barrel carb which I think would be more resistant to deforming
IF PEOPLE HAD TO TAKE A SHOT OF WHISKEY FOR EVERY TIME THIS GUY SAYS BUT UM WELL LETS JUST SAY 1 SHOT 2 SHOTS 21 SHOTS FLOOR! NOT SURE HE KNOWS HE'S SAYING THIS EITHER MAX COUNT WAS 21 TIMES SAYING BUT UM
great video. always fun pulling them apart. see what you got. looks like one mean racer in the future 👍😎
+WallysWheels Unhooked It should be pretty stout, it's off at the machine shop for a .020 bore. Thanks for watching

The carburetor on the racing engine is from a Briggs vanguard
best of luck on the new job
+Ryan Johnson Thanks!
You make some nice videos, I don't understand how you only have 943 subs... Welp, imma make it 944 :P Keep up these videos!

You could do that, id need another cam too for a complete short block. It'd be decent amount of money for a backup short block though.
Yea but the aluminum intake means colder fuel
What did the pistons bore end up being?
What would you take for the one you aint going tire down
you mean the plastic one leak better.... i own a small engine buissness im replacing those plastic intakes all the time they are junk....

how was the coil mounted on the race engine?
Yep! . . . "hi performance" . . .
roller rockers . . . check!
high lift cams . . . check!
heavy duty valve springs to eliminate valve float . . . check!
stock valve push rods . . . BENT . . . check!!!
LOL!!
Haha, to be fair they were comp cams pushrods.
Ok . . . missed you saying that . . . but you get the point. A lot of people will do exactly that . . . and it happens like clockwork!!!
First! keep making vids!
+millywerz Will do! Lol, we've been slacking on the videos lately but much more to come!
+thejanticjournal im making a homemade v-twin out of a couple of weed eater engines for a homemade motorcycle project
