Great video. Nice to see you posting again I hope to see more content from you this year. I would like to see some actual racing content along with this engine building and work.
The wires that you're saying with the diode yes it keeps them from shortening it out but it also keeps current flowing one way instead of back the other way that's what the diode wires are for
I have a 18.5 Briggs single Intek motor and was wondering if any cam grinders make a good cam that has a better compression release on it? Briggs design should be shot behind the barn and they should redesign it so we don’t end up buying new cams then the compression release breaks again. Lot of work to replace it and money that shouldn’t have to be like this. Wouldn’t have purchased my Ariens 42” lawn tractor if I knew these Briggs were known for breaking these compression releases.
Where do you get performance cams for the Intek V twins? I have one in an outlaw mower that my racing team uses as a pit tug/runner at auto races. It has an AMR500 supercharger (40% overdrive), S&S Super E running E85, and custom 2 into 1 equal length header but I haven't been able to locate a bigger cam for this series of engine. Thanks!
@@joshbingham7774 did you get a cam from Comp Cams? If so work out? I’m hoping to find a cam grinder that makes a cam for my Briggs 18.5 hp single Intek that puts a better designed compression release on it that won’t always break off like the Briggs do.
Funny, you called it a motor and an engine throughout the entire video, sometimes in the same sentence. The main wiring harness connector, that's pretty much standard on all lawn tractor engine harnesses nowadays.
Great info on compression ratios. I have a bit different question tho. Can these intek engines be converted to horizontal shaft orientation? Great videos.
Thanks for the support! Not sure about using these motors as a horizontal shaft, the Vanguards are a little more pricey but those come configured both ways.
It's an engine I have on hand. Really didn't want to buy another one. Thought maybe I could mod the oil pickup and re-orient the carb. Was just curious. Thanks for the reply.
The mowers are "done" in way lol. Currently they are completely apart for paint and some finishing touches but they did run last season. I have a video where it shows how they came out after a few races.
Mike your killing it with this video this is why anyone that has questions on who to build a mower I send them to your page
Thanks Adam!

Definitely have to get a video or two of racing events this season!
Best racing mower channel right here!! Love you content. I plan to try one of these engines out in my stock twin mower.
Glad to see you back, always enjoy your content and style. Would love to see an update on the Regal
i enjoy this channel so much
Thank you!

Love this stuff need more videos
Thanks, the other two parts of this video are already done so they will be coming!
@@TheJanticJournal I’m absolutely stoked for the other parts
You still have the aircleaner cover and the fan covers I need one?
Can you do a video on your hand throttle setup? I have a briggs V-twin.
I literally just searched for a racing mower engine build and saw this lol

Never mind, I just watched your next video and saw that Comp Cams offers them. I'll give them a call.

What part number is that spark plug ? Thks 😮
These things use a compression release?
Finish All those Craftsman's you were building?

@@TheJanticJournal must have missed that vid. I'll have to go back and look
why intek 23 versus vanguard 23 ?
turbo
Haha, I can't even imagine getting into all of that
Doesn't know the difference between the kill wire and that charge wire. I'm done. Nothing more to see here.
That must be why none of my motors run after I finish building them lol
