We're thrilled to have found you on UA-cam! Our daughter has a part in the local high school theater presentation, & it's an Agatha Christie play. EVERY ONE of your tutorials we viewed really helped ease away much of the anxiousness we'd subconsciously been building within BOTH me & our daughter, Halie. She's our "Late in Life Baby". All of her siblings are in their 30s-40s & have families of their own now. My husband & I have doted on her & she on us. She turns sixteen this month, AND it's the play's big debut. Halie's a beautiful girl & in the top of her class. She's the not-much-fuss type, & her wadrobe styles tend to lend more toward classic lines. Anyway, I apologize for going on in my distraction. What my daughter & I wanted to make sure to communicate to you is a sincere appreciation for your videos' spot-on vintage stylings, the simplicity of information/instructions, & in general, an overall, especially, enjoyable viewing pleasantness. My grandmother was originally from Germany. Then, as a child, my family lived on a German military base & I was able to attend a German kindergarten. Having shared that, before we'd read your background info, I mentioned to my daughter that several of the styles were surprisingly familiar to me. I remember my grandmother wearing more than a few of them. Also, your English accent seemed to be flavored with a beautiful hint of Germany. I was correct too! I must hurry now! Thank you, again for being such a wonderful blessing to us! We'll be sure to share your page with others!
And I thought you were British 🤣🤣.. Yes! your accent is pretty close to the native speakers, girl.. Don't ever bother about your English again.. You have such a flawless complexion. Your skin literally glistens. Would love to know about your skincare routine..
Your English is beautiful, I adore your accent. Your pronunciations were perfect. I love this video! Such good tutorials. In the future I’d love to see you do a French twist hairstyle. It was very similar to you twisting your hair for the scarf but I’ve never been able to do it right. Have a lovely day :)
Found your channel today!! I was looking up easy vintage hairstyles and found this video! I’ve been collecting vintage reproduction clothing and transforming my wardrobe over the last five or six years and I’ve always been intimidated by the hairstyles as I also have naturally straight hair. I usually do some twists and a hair flower so this is very helpful!
This is such a nice video and you have a very calm way of speaking. (That’s very refreshing on UA-cam.) Unique hairstyles and not just your average ‘messy bun’. Loved the last one and will be trying that for sure❤️
I totally have a girl-crush on this woman... Very polished and elegant. :) I so love you and am proud of your achievements and new blessings coming your way. Thank you for making a difference, standing out and for inspiring us. :) May God bless you more dear. :)
I’m so impressed by your English. We Americans tend to be more lazy and sloppy in our pronunciation and enunciation. I’m working on getting better by listening to people like you. 💕 And I enjoyed the hair tutorial very much.
It’s a velvet hair band specifically used for wigs or to be put under hair wraps. If you type in velvet wig band on amazon it should come up. They’re v comfy!
You’re beautiful and your English is lovely. I always admire people who can speak more than one language. ❤️ I’m learning Spanish but am not fluent yet. I wish I knew more. I think it’s just beautiful to know other languages. So.. anyways, just wanted to say you’re doing wonderfully. So glad I found this channel bc I wanted to learn to do something vintage inspired w my hair! 😂 hope everyone here is well and staying healthy 💙

Thank you for the tips. I could never quite get my scarf to sit right, so I am glad that i found you : )

Great hairstyle ideas! I love vintage style but I'm also pretty lazy, so I really appreciate this video :) Also - I just wanted to comment because you were questioning your pronunciation -- it's great! I'm a native English speaker (American) and a professional ESL tutor. I wasn't even sure whether or not English was your first language until you confirmed it. So I just wanted to say that you sound fantastic! I'm always so impressed when people can speak more than one language fluently.
Your pronunciation is absolutely fine so don't worry at all. I think I'd call the pointy bits of the scarf ears (cos til they're tucked in they look a little like rabbit ears!) but I'm sure there's other options. I keep meaning to get a big enough scarf for the turban look - must add it to a list! Nice useful video.
Dear Shirinatra: In my "travels" on the internet, I came upon one of your videos. You have a sense of style which appeals to me since I am old fashioned, in some ways, most especially when it comes to fashion. I was born in 1953. I was born an artist, and as a little girl, I was very aware of fashion (among many other things). I remember pouring through some of my mother's magazines which included tons of Dior inspired fashion. Needless to say, I was smitten with Dior. To this day, I still adhere to the basic Dior fashion ideology. There is a romanticism to it. That, of course, is my own personal fashion philosophy. Then in 1963, Jackie Kennedy became First Lady of the United States, and my eyes became "fastened" on her. Although I had been an Audrey Hepburn fan (Givenchy's fashion muse), it was Jackie's style I fell in love with. For me she has been, and continues to be, the "it" fashion icon, my "go to" when it comes to fashion ideas. There was something about Jackie. The fact that she was a Leo with Scorpio rising, probably had a lot to do with it. As you can tell, I love fashion, and I view it as one of many expressions of the self, so I enjoy your videos immensely. On this particular one, I noticed at the end, the concern you expressed regarding your accent (since English is not your native language). Having been born and raised in New York City, if there is anything I became used to and fell in love with, was the variety of foreign accents one hears almost daily. At a young age, I became aware that the world is a rather big place, and what a wonderful thing that is. Wanting to improve and build one's vocabulary is always a wonderful goal. Trying to get rid of one's accent is not exactly a desirable goal. You are lovely, and so is your accent. It is part of what makes you, you! So you needn't worry. As I mentioned earlier, I was born and raised in New York City, to Puerto Rican parents. The first language I learned was Spanish. I speak, read and write it. On occasion when speaking Spanish in public, I've been told by some ignorant person, to "Speak English. This is America." I've kindly informed them that, "Yes, this is America, and America is the land of immigrants!" My maternal grandfather was French, so I'd better get busy learning French. Oui? Vive la difference!!! I'm so sorry to have gone on for so long. Keep up the good work!
Awww Shirin, you’re so cute. And I wouldn’t worry about your accent at all, even the words you were nervous about. So clear and so perfectly enunciated 😊 Thank you for the cutest video 😘
You'd be surprised! I haven't worn my hair in a pony tail in a LONG time. I do a side pony a lot because I am more 60s 70s influenced. But this was a good reminder that I can switch it up with a simply pony from time to time. I have naturally wavy hair but sometimes it gets frizzy and unruly and it's good to have easy styles when I don't have time. Great video! Thank you.

a bobby pin can never secure my thick hair just like that.
My number one problem too
hate bobby pins, I can't work with them!
Lucky you
Just try securing less hair with one bobby pin.
Your pronunciation is better than most Americans, so don’t let people put you down.
A velvet head band would help keep the scarf from slipping off and then you would'nt need as many bobby pins! Also, your english is great! :)

I have to ask - 6:20 onwards your hair looks SO lovely especially at the ends - how did you get that look? Have you layer cut your hair?

I just found your video and went straight to Amazon to find those H&M headbands, and I found a 15 pack with every color of the rainbow for only $22 USD 🥰 thank you so much! I love headbands, but most are too flat for me because my hair is so big and curly that headbands disappear from sight in my hair lol. These H&M ones have that cute turban knot on top, j'adore! 🥰🤗 it gives them enough volume so that they're visible in my mass of curls. Thank you!!
Love your style. Love your vibe. Subscribed 💕
Yay, thanks ❤
