- Ernst Heinkel wanted to design planes ever since he was just a kid in the German Empire. He saw zeppelins and biplane aircraft, true marvels of modern technology, conquering the sky, and imagined his own designs up there in the air. It was 1911 when he took a biplane of his own design into the skies… and landed on the hospital bed after an almost immediate crash. After that, the planes he made were always tested by professional pilots, but he didn’t give up on his dream. Heinkel created a company which eventually became one of the titans of the German combat aircraft industry.

Goering kept interfering with the He-177 project, insisting that it should have 2 propellers instead of 4, then insist on it should be able to perform *_DIVE BOMBING_* for some weird reason. The 2 massive propellers may sufficiently propelled the aircraft but the engines kept overheating due to the lack of cooling and the tightly packed nature of the engines themselves, there are very good reasons why strategic bombers in this time has 4 propellers instead of 2.

The HE-162 is my favourite plane in the game: it's tiny, extremely nimble, looks cool and it absolutely destroys everything it meets all the way up to 8.0 if you know how to fly it.

oh then we have something in common my friend :) i also love the he-162, and yes you are right, when you know how to fly it you can even carry a full ju288 bomber team XD and yes the he-162 is also very capable at the 7.0 jet BR
Well it turns like a bomber , pretty unrealistic but balanced .
@@5co756 how is it unrealistic? it has tiny wings and a relatively poor T/W. You can't expect it to turn well
@@dogeness it rolls harder than a by plane, but it bleeds too much speed on the turns. It doesn't have that much "grip" since the control surfaces are also very small.
I’m not sure about 8.0 but at 6.3 if flown correctly stomps. Though it can be boring as it takes a while to build up energy and you need to pick brain dead pilots to jump

I once spend an entire afternoon walking around the only flying He 111 at the Farmingdale airfield near New York Citi. It crashed shortly after that. It had participated in the movie The battle of Britain. As i walked inside a B17 bomber that was nearby , I met three WWII crewmen talking about their raid on Berlin and Hamburg. One of the most amazing experiences in my life. Been playing WT for about 7 Years.
the HE-111 bombers are quite the sizable aircrafts really, seen a crash restored one that is stored in a museum in Norway. it's told that the Belly gunner is still being manned to this day.
Even though I don't play War Thunder, still love watching this :]

The He-219 has got to be my favorite multi-role big boi of the skies, it's awesome firepower obliterates planes and melts even the heavier tanks into piles of scrap metal. Its radar is also quite helpful.
They missed a few things. Heinkel built the world's first jet aircraft, the He.178, which flew in August 1939. Heinkel also produced the first actual jet fighter, the He.280, which flew as early as March 1941. The He.70 Blitz was a widely used as an attack aircraft during the Spanish Civil war and used the same elliptical wing design as the He.111. Finally, the He.115 was a seaplane that saw a lot of use in the English Channel during the Battle of Britain.
i wish there was surviving 177's out there in museums. I would absolutely love to be in one and see it in person with my own eyes :(

I'm a massive fan of the he 100 and he 112, truly underestimated and never die, I once lost my engine 14km away in the he 100, and still made it back, they may not do much I the way of damage, but if you hit right in fly we'll they are truly versatile.
The best part about the He100 imo is the fact that it was a race plane converted to a fighter.
Bruh, i play the He 100 and every single time i try and brake when i land, my plane flips over and i die. The He 51 and He 112 are really good though.

So yesterday i was just playing War Thunder.
I stood in a forest with my team.
Then i heard a plane and BOOM.
I made a Side-flip and landed on my tracks.
All my teammates where dead, but i wasn't.
Probably one of the best plays i have ever had.
Would love too see the Heinkel He 280 Jet fighter.
Heinkel He 162 is one of my fav jets when it comes to first gen jets.
Just wish they had made some of the planed variants. So we could have gotten them in to this game :)

i love the heinkel 111. one of the most beautiful bombers of ww2

I was curious myself as that sounded strange. But seems true. Look up the original Svenska Aero, eventually bought by another company AB/ASJA and became the more modern SAAB.

I absolutely love the He111 series in the game, they are by far my favourite plane to fly. They tend so be a bit squishy but I made as many last second heroic landings when shot to pieces as I instadied because the tail ripped of because of 3 .50 cal bullets.

And now we even have a 2500kg bomb for it 😉

Q: Could the Heinkel He-115 be added?
´´The He 115 turned out to be unsuitable for the intended combat mission due to its design as a seaplane and the associated low speed. As a consequence, the aircraft was withdrawn from the construction program in mid-1940 and subsequently also withdrawn from combat operations. ´´ ............ I think there are enough useless vehicles in War Thunder that no one ever uses because you never see them in battle. Tanks whose gun cannot penetrate other tanks and aircraft that are not used because they are too big, too expensive or cannot carry the right weapons, etc. all useless and it's annoying that you have to buy these useless things in order to be able to buy the vehicle that comes after the useless vehicles.
´´The planes were used as reconnaissance aircraft, bombers, torpedo planes and mine-layers, but proved unsuitable in the last three roles´´´.................Even more hurdles on the way to the higher ranks. There are already more than enough useless vehicles, I think.

Just a small correction: The He-100 was by no means 'unreliable', or really, reliable either. There is scarce information on the aircraft out there, and the reasons as to why it didn't make it can only be inferred from its design. It utilized a cooling system where the water from the engine would flow around the aircraft's surface area instead of in a radiator. Essentially, the whole plane was a big cooling surface - the advantage of that is obviously the reduced drag, since now the whole fuselage can be streamlined instead of making large air inlets for radiators. In combat this is a huge disadvantage, however, because any hit to the areas of the plane that were used for cooling would result in a water leak, and since that was most of the plane... yeah, not ideal. But the system was not, or at least did not seem to be, inclined to failure by itself, that is to say, unreliable.
(this explanation is highly simplified. If any engineers notice a mistake or can phrase it better than I did, go ahead)
Heinkel he 111 is my favorite bomber all time. Also like Heinkel 216 Uhu, and 177 Greif.

SAAB wasn’t founded by Heinkel, it was founded in 1937 by three major Swedish industrialist Jacob Wallenberg (Wallenberg grop),Axel Wennergren and Sven Wingquist (SKF). It bought ASJ:s flygplansavdelning which 1932 bought the bancrupt’s estate of Svenska Aero AB. This company was founded by Henkel in 1921.

I think those are for firing the 6 limbo depth charges you can unlock. (I dont have that ship yet though so I'm just guessing)

Love the H3 version climb good climb rate for a bomber, good payload. Can destroy 3 bases or solo kill an AF. I'm really better off flying bombers than fighters.

The He 177 A-5 is my favorite bomber, followed closely by the B-17

I love the design that Heinkel did with the bombers. I think that the bombers are fun becasue i enjoy bombers. For the other aircraft i think he did good on thoughs designs but he could have done a little better. but some of the aircrafts that Heinkel made, now in war thunder i think there pretty good. I have used most Heinkel aircrafts because they were easy to reseach. But i think the designs were good!
You forgot to mention the uhi had a pressurized cockpit and ejection seats. I wish to see another version with the schräge musik

I have two He 112 in an active figther deck, but I don't fly them often as they are research rank 1 only. But when I do they feel ok.
I know it says Aircraft, but Heinkel also made tanks, I couldnt find any but I do know that they made the Kannonenjagdpanzer or JPz 4-5, it was a co-production with Henschel

Man i had no idea the he 177 was actually fully produced and widely used.. always just sorts thought it was a late war experimental
One little problem - early He 111's had a stepped cockpit. The fully streamlined nose only came on later models.
Love the Heinkels, but is there any current work on other bombers for the German tech tree? I have seen a lot of conversation on forums about the Junker JU 390 and it seems that a lot of people think it would be great.
But other than that, love the game and love the channel. Keep up the great work guys. Also how do you drop the bombs all at once?
Set bomb series to whatever the highest amount is, in the spawn screen.
