@@WillGeo15 I have just had some stock 152 H games. And not died once the plane is amazing especially against spitfires. If you are loosing a turn fight you can outrun them. If you are headon you can outgun them and likely survive (At least I did with the biggest lost being my oil filter and flap). You give them a nice big spray of 20/30mm cannon fire in a head on. By the way you never want to dogfight spitfires or F2G's. That is just suicide unless you are flying a K4.

Gotta be the f4u4b especially with the new buffed 20mm rounds it makes quick work of even t34s and panthers in mixed battles. and then it gets the 2000lb of bombs to deal with heavy tanks.

P51H ...although at 24k (...-something) to repair you have to reap at least 2 air targets per each battle to gain & go on... STILL - I LOVE playing on it in RB and "Sim". It's just too much fun. PS. I'm surprised the A7M1 and A7M2 are not even mentioned.
AU-1. It's the Korean War ground attack monster that everyone doubted when it came to the game. It's very fast (I've pushed it to around 380-390mph on the deck) at most altitudes. It also carries a massive payload for it's BR. The 20mms are amazing and can pen tank roofs with no issue most of the time.
For me the British Typhoon was one of the most amazing aircraft of the 2nd world war. It’s 24 cylinder Sabre engine was a fantastic piece of engineering design. It certainly looked purposeful too !
The P-40 will always be my favorite, it wasn't the best aircraft of the war by a long shot, but it served in every theater of the war and performed admirably. It was durable, looked mean, and had the guns to back it up, I would say it felt like the most "American" plane of the war.
I think for me, the Tempest Mk II is the best superprop imo, it has a similar climb to the Mk 24, but the top end speed is just crazy fast at around 650km/h under WEP which is INSANE
Not the fastest tho If you look at the other nations aircrafts like Germany USSR Japan those 3 have got even faster piston engine than the sea fury by far even the British Tempest Mk II

BLUNTESTBOOT233 109s are easy kills in the F4Us because usually (at least when I play the 4b) they are 1-2000m below me, since they fought with spitfires and sometimes some p51hs. Without those two planes that can match 109s climb (spitfires are more o less on par with the k4 in the initial climb, in combat the 109 will easily outclimb spits above 350km/h IAS), other planes would be fucked up. In a 1v1 the 4b has no chance with pilots on par. The k4 outclimbs it easily, so after the merge the 109 can just climb for 1-2 minutes and then BnZ the F4U. The F4U can only hope to male the 109 overshoot, since the American plane is faster only below 2500m
My absolute favourites of the last of the piston-engined aircraft are: Three from the UK, Hawker Sea Fury, Martin Baker MB5, and Westland Welkin. From the Soviet Union: the superlative Yak-3 that was the favourite of the pilots of the Normandie-Niemen fighter group and the Germans issued an order not to engage the Yakovlev lacking an oil-cooler under the nose below 5000 meters and Lavochkin La-7 that was more agile than the successor La-9. Japan: Kawasaki Ki-100 that proved itself one of the most capable fighters of 2nd WW and the Nakajima N1K2-J Shiden that quite possibly could be the best of them all. Germany: The Dornier Do335 Pfeil; fast enough to outrun almost anything!
I love the P47. The last version had longer wings that housed bigger fuel tanks for use in the Pacific. The only thing that came close to it in performance was the Corsair. The Hellcat was also a good performer, but want fast enough. I also like the P63. If it had been fitted with a Merlin a fine or a Griffin engine like the ones used by the P51 and in the Seafire, it would have been very fast, highly maneuverable and well armed. But the Army Air Corp wanted to use it in the ground attack role. But, at its peak altitude it flew at 408 MPH, faster that he early Mustang. I also like the Bearcat, La11, Mosquito an pad the Dornier Arrow. It’s hard to pick one out of this group because they were all great piston engines fighters.
That Bearcat has been an absolute delight. Bring along the suspended machine guns if I'm not gonna be turnfighting, I've destroyed so many jets in head-ons. Skyraider if I'm going combined, because that thing is a monster of a strike craft.

yeah just in case they pull the woolley over your eyes. The G.56 comes with a standard 55k lions repair cost if you get shot down. The TA 152h goes for around 40k. Just as an example. The p51h is cheap though. It also costs a lot less silver lions. :)
Its just crappy modelling because a few early mk24s had mk2s and instead of shortening the barrel on the model, they just went with changing them to mk2s cause they are lazy.
@@grgamasnec4731 i know that it had mk5s ingame, but the original problem was that the visual model represents a *very* early mk24 that had mk2 cannons irl but ingame it had a mk5 so gaijin had 2 choices: 1. Fix the visual model to represent the shorter barreled mk5 2. Change the cannons to mk2 Ofc they chose the latter because they are lazy and inconsistent with the representation of models
As a piston fighter enthusiasts i personally favor the bearcat mainly due to the fact that their used very often in aerial racing, and are a little faster stock than the mustang.
My favorite is the Japanese J7W1 Shinden. 4x30mm cannons with an excellent top speed rivaling that of jets with amazing energy retention. It used to be able to pull cobras due to engine being at the rear but it's flight model got updated so you can't do that anymore sadly. Definitely my favorite prop along with the bearcat

They didn't mention the Re 2005, that thing can pack a punch, three 20mm MG151/20 and two 12.7mm Breda-Safat heavy-machinegun, one 500kg and two 100kg bombs, and its turning still pretty good, while its high speed is one of the lowest at its BR and rank its pretty much outturns everything

For me the British Typhoon was one of the most amazing aircraft of the 2nd world war. It’s 24 cylinder Sabre engine was a fantastic piece of engineering design. It certainly looked purposeful too !

The P-40 will always be my favorite, it wasn't the best aircraft of the war by a long shot, but it served in every theater of the war and performed admirably. It was durable, looked mean, and had the guns to back it up, I would say it felt like the most "American" plane of the war.

I think for me, the Tempest Mk II is the best superprop imo, it has a similar climb to the Mk 24, but the top end speed is just crazy fast at around 650km/h under WEP which is INSANE
I love the P-51-H Mustang, even though I still don't know how to properly fly it XD
They really underlay how amazing the Spit mk24 is. You can out corkscrew a La-9 and turn with a Ta-152 H1. The power to weight ratio is unreal.
The Sea Fury is definitely my favourite out of the final piston engines fighters. One of the fastest piston engine planes ever made!

If you look at the other nations aircrafts like Germany USSR Japan those 3 have got even faster piston engine than the sea fury by far even the British Tempest Mk II

Ta-152h1, g-56, La-9 and F8F are all easy preys for my k4 lol. Even 5.3 109s can deal with them without much effort.

BLUNTESTBOOT233 109s are easy kills in the F4Us because usually (at least when I play the 4b) they are 1-2000m below me, since they fought with spitfires and sometimes some p51hs.
Without those two planes that can match 109s climb (spitfires are more o less on par with the k4 in the initial climb, in combat the 109 will easily outclimb spits above 350km/h IAS), other planes would be fucked up.
In a 1v1 the 4b has no chance with pilots on par. The k4 outclimbs it easily, so after the merge the 109 can just climb for 1-2 minutes and then BnZ the F4U. The F4U can only hope to male the 109 overshoot, since the American plane is faster only below 2500m
I like the F2G-1 a lot. I like the fact that it has decent turn time and can carry bombs.

My absolute favourites of the last of the piston-engined aircraft are:
Three from the UK, Hawker Sea Fury, Martin Baker MB5, and Westland Welkin.
From the Soviet Union: the superlative Yak-3 that was the favourite of the pilots of the Normandie-Niemen fighter group and the Germans issued an order not to engage the Yakovlev lacking an oil-cooler under the nose below 5000 meters and Lavochkin La-7 that was more agile than the successor La-9.
Japan: Kawasaki Ki-100 that proved itself one of the most capable fighters of 2nd WW and the Nakajima N1K2-J Shiden that quite possibly could be the best of them all.
Germany: The Dornier Do335 Pfeil; fast enough to outrun almost anything!

I love the P47. The last version had longer wings that housed bigger fuel tanks for use in the Pacific. The only thing that came close to it in performance was the Corsair. The Hellcat was also a good performer, but want fast enough. I also like the P63. If it had been fitted with a Merlin a fine or a Griffin engine like the ones used by the P51 and in the Seafire, it would have been very fast, highly maneuverable and well armed. But the Army Air Corp wanted to use it in the ground attack role. But, at its peak altitude it flew at 408 MPH, faster that he early Mustang. I also like the Bearcat, La11, Mosquito an pad the Dornier Arrow. It’s hard to pick one out of this group because they were all great piston engines fighters.

That Bearcat has been an absolute delight. Bring along the suspended machine guns if I'm not gonna be turnfighting, I've destroyed so many jets in head-ons. Skyraider if I'm going combined, because that thing is a monster of a strike craft.

Sl modifiers are much higher in tier IV planes, therefore the repair cost is higher. For a better reward there is a higher risk.

The TA 152h goes for around 40k. Just as an example. The p51h is cheap though. It also costs a lot less silver lions. :)
fix mk 24 cannons give us the real ones it had hispano mk 5!!!
Its just crappy modelling because a few early mk24s had mk2s and instead of shortening the barrel on the model, they just went with changing them to mk2s cause they are lazy.

@@grgamasnec4731 i know that it had mk5s ingame, but the original problem was that the visual model represents a *very* early mk24 that had mk2 cannons irl but ingame it had a mk5 so gaijin had 2 choices:
1. Fix the visual model to represent the shorter barreled mk5
2. Change the cannons to mk2
Ofc they chose the latter because they are lazy and inconsistent with the representation of models
As a piston fighter enthusiasts i personally favor the bearcat mainly due to the fact that their used very often in aerial racing, and are a little faster stock than the mustang.

My favorite is the Japanese J7W1 Shinden. 4x30mm cannons with an excellent top speed rivaling that of jets with amazing energy retention. It used to be able to pull cobras due to engine being at the rear but it's flight model got updated so you can't do that anymore sadly. Definitely my favorite prop along with the bearcat

They didn't mention the Re 2005, that thing can pack a punch, three 20mm MG151/20 and two 12.7mm Breda-Safat heavy-machinegun, one 500kg and two 100kg bombs, and its turning still pretty good, while its high speed is one of the lowest at its BR and rank its pretty much outturns everything
