      Double up on full-time jobs at 16.
      Marriage to someone similar, first baby, and a paid off house by 22.

    • @oldschoolgonzo
      @oldschoolgonzo 2 роки тому +5

      Its not FREE. There is no tuition associated with attending - but someone has to pay for it: taxes (the system). Plus, its not for everyone. To attend a University in Germany you have to meet certain requirements - not everyone can, will, wants to. Its not exactly how you are saying it. Universities in Germany are funded by the system (tax payers) and open to anybody meeting the admission requirements.

    I am so happy to see that this man is doing this for these students. Education is so important and at the low-income school that i went too, my teachers never talked to me about higher education. They gave me a mock job application and that was as much as they did to prepare me for my future. I was lucky to have parents that made high income and that is the ONLY reason I had the chance to go to college. My high GPA didn't get me more than 1k per year, which was not enough to put myself through college without tens of thousands of dollars in debt. My school did not offer AP classes, sports, or extracurriculars. I would have done all of those if I could. A year after a graduated high school I ran into the counselor from that school and she asked whether I went to college or not. I told her that I had just completed my first year and she told me "Good for you. I think you are probably the only student that I have expected to go to college. Others say that they will but they never do."

It takes so little to help so many, right some wrongs. Basic necessities shouldn't be so hard to come by and I do consider education a necessity. I hope that one day things like this will happen to all youths, regardless of race, color, orientation, born into poor homes will have what they need to make it in this world. I hope that opportunities (not charities) such as this catch on with others in the 1% and they step up and make the world a better place. ✌🏻💙🇺🇸

You are not only giving the gift of education to our kids but including 1 parent so they thrive and get out of this cycle. The first person I thought of that might support this movement is Shaq. He has a big heart. And I believe he is from Louisiana. The school system there and crime/poverty they have down there is just awful! Chance is not a billionaire but he does give back to his hometown, maybe he could do some scholarships on the west side? And I know there is a slim chance you might read this but if you do, I want to say bless. This (education) along with other things would be great to get our city back and help our kids. And 1 more thing. Would you run for mayor? Chicago needs someone who cares, and it is very evident in your speech you do! Bless you , you are a hero to many people!

He think he blessed now whew... because of the seed that he just sowed into those families the harvest is going to be beyond his wildest imagination! The other young man blessed my soul, he has unwavering strong faith. Only people that live in these type of environments understand new grace and mercy that is granted each and every morning. Chicago students are forced to endure though so much bs....
    Many desperately want to get out but can't..
    So many people are surrounded by nothing but factories ---- yet lacking much employment.
    People outside of Chicago have no clue what the younger generation goes through.
    It's BEYOND rough....
    It's constant "suppression", to put it lightly.
    But ---- this brought so much joy & happy tears 💖
    And kudos to that gentleman... helping those in need. He has absolutely no idea how great of an influence he became.
    This is beyond awesome! Chicago needs more stories like this ❤

I am so thankful to Pete. I needed to hear a story of generosity and caring. Education allows individuals to increase their earnings, but it also creates people who are able back to their communities. It makes sense to invest tax dollars in education and lower the cost of higher education so it's affordable.
