I was just involved in a renovation in Canadian high school so I got to go into classrooms and see what's on the walls and what's on the walls of the hallways and it blew my mind. Of course, there was stuff about how white males have all the privilege, even though the school is 80% Indian. There were things on the walls like "You are more than your sexual identity", which is an argument nobody is claiming. Somebody who hates trans people with a passion, understands that they are more than just their sexual identity. They are desperate for bogeyman. It was absolutely pathetic and made me lose. Many universities allow for open discourse. In fact, a lot of American ones are actually largely conservative. These include Clemson, Arkansas State, University of Alabama, LSU, etc. This isn't a universal occurrence.

This happened in spring of 2017, since then a degree from there has been greatly devalued, and enrollment has been on a rather steady and quick decline. They've been kept on life support through taxpayer funds, but it appears that they're very close to shutting down. Conveniently, they blame Covid, even though they've been facing the issues for a few years now, although Covid is probably the final nail in the coffin.

ADAM WAITE its pretty funny in a sense. Their right to freedom of speech is the only thing that keeps them from being lined up against a wall and shot and here they stand shouting that it will kill them. Logic is not where they're coming from here and they dont even attempt to deny that.
During the WW2 100's of thousands, civilians and members of the military were killed and maimed to preserve freedom of speech, how quickly we forget. I also strongly believe that colleges and universities should be teaching critical thinking, not just job training. You have an obligation as a student to back up your arguments with well reasoned counter arguments if you disagree with the individual teaching the course. Firing instructors because their beliefs differ from yours is counter productive in a college or university setting.
There's a lot of truth to that, but it's an oversimplification as well. Those that never leave the safety of the environment they were born in and experience other states, countries, and cultures, even if it's just traveling from the city to rural areas, often are naive and believe that everyone else should think and act as they do. They're often too comfortable and have become complacent because of it. The issue of being soft is more prevalent the younger the generation due in a large part to the feminine influence that has been wielded over our society to keep children safe at all costs.

As a retired state college (NJ) professor, I find this video incomprehensible. If a student interrupted or otherwise interfered with the educational environment in my class I would fail him or her. If I had to fail the entire class, which is unlikely, I would do that. There is nothing more important in a university than the free interchange of ideas-nothing!

This happened in spring of 2017, since then a degree from there has been greatly devalued, and enrollment has been on a rather steady and quick decline. They've been kept on life support through taxpayer funds, but it appears that they're very close to shutting down. Conveniently, they blame Covid, even though they've been facing the issues for a few years now, although Covid is probably the final nail in the coffin.

I also strongly believe that colleges and universities should be teaching critical thinking, not just job training. You have an obligation as a student to back up your arguments with well reasoned counter arguments if you disagree with the individual teaching the course. Firing instructors because their beliefs differ from yours is counter productive in a college or university setting.
There's a lot of truth to that, but it's an oversimplification as well. Those that never leave the safety of the environment they were born in and experience other states, countries, and cultures, even if it's just traveling from the city to rural areas, often are naive and believe that everyone else should think and act as they do. They're often too comfortable and have become complacent because of it. The issue of being soft is more prevalent the younger the generation due in a large part to the feminine influence that has been wielded over our society to keep children safe at all costs.

As a retired state college (NJ) professor, I find this video incomprehensible. If a student interrupted or otherwise interfered with the educational environment in my class I would fail him or her. If I had to fail the entire class, which is unlikely, I would do that. There is nothing more important in a university than the free interchange of ideas-nothing!
