We really like the information delivery also, not a whole lot of build up, very straight to the point kind of people...thank you!!! I recently discovered your blog and I plan to go through much if not all of it because of the topic but also because of of you 2, something about you 2 that is very agreeable to me. I lived overseas 25 years in about 5 countries: I'm a brother from Flint, Michigan, and I always remember something I read a long, long time ago that went something like this. Lots of Americans move / travel overseas for varying amounts of time, but in the end most return to stay in the States. I wonder how true this is today. I've been back in the States since 2006 and I often ask myself if I want to stay. I'll soon be 67 and my travels really started with a backpack, a Europass and a trip to Europe. I was hooked. Travel and languages have literally changed my life. I'm so looking forward to your videos and yes, I have been to Africa: north, south and east. I hope t to visit east Africa someday before I leave this either. Props to both of you. Took a Grey Hound bus once through Texas on the way to California. I thought we would never leave that GIGANTIC State. Again, looking forward to your videos.
My wife and I (from Dallas) have been talking about moving back to Africa for years. Just waiting for the little one finished school. Thanks for the content! #subscribed
Yeah Tony, I myself felt the same way... My first trip was just 2 weeks... I did not want to leave... We only spent 3 days in Accra, Ghana... And the next 10 days in Lome, Togo... In that short time, we did a traditional marriage, since my wife is Togolese... No I didn't meet my wife in Togo... She has been in America since 1999... I'm from Chicago, born and raised, we also still live here in the south suburbs... Like you also, it's not just a cliche, everyone was telling me, "welcome home my brother"... Even everyone in her family was saying welcome home, where is everyone else? It's an amazing place... It's our home... Thank you and your wife for documenting this move... This is very important for African Americans... Thanks...
I love your story @Kwame Alognon! People need to hear that it's not cliche nor an isolated experience. The more we educate the better! Thanks for commenting ❤️️🇬🇭❤️️! We hope you can make it back soon to see family again and stay a little longer 😉.

Love you guys. I have been watching your channel but now I'm starting from the beginning. My husband is from Wisconsin so it makes sense that I can connect to a lot of what you say/past experiences. We are still in the Midwest. I definitely want to come and visit and possibly relocate. I hope to meet you two one day!
Congratulations on your move! I’m excited for you two. Many Americans consider and live abroad. It isn’t a foreign concept. I live in the Midwestern part of the US and it isn’t wise to use my geographical location as a reference point for generalizing Americans. The Midwest is unique and often our perspectives are shaped by our limited experiences, conforming perspectives/lifestyles, and segregated experiences. Outside of the Midwest, I find people have extensive travel and relocation experiences. This is also why my circle of influences and relationships extend far beyond the Midwest. I love traveling aboard and especially love my yearly Ghanaian travels. God willing an African country is in my near future. I hope to continue my African travels to help determine the best fit for us. I hope your family’s transition is a wonderful authentic new way of life.
Love hearing that more people are going to Ghana and seeing more of Africa too! We were totally not generalizing the Midwesterners, but explaining our perspective and acknowledging others probably think like us. I am glad you have a circle of friends that also enjoy travel and going abroad. You're lucky! They undoubtedly bring you a worldly view and lively conversation. Welcome to the channel!
I am a Ghanaian who left Ghana in 1984 to pursue my higher education in the States.
