      Hehehe Julie, thank you firstly for watching, but a huge thank you for such a lovely comment! But it worries me, because I never know how any of it is going to turn out as I literally never touched a dollshouse until about six weeks ago! None of it has been planned because I really don't know what I'm doing lol. It's a huge learning curve, which is good because I love pushing myself to learn new stuff. But I also panic in case folk think I'm just making a mess 😁 so I'm happy that you like it so far! Hopefully you'll enjoy the rest of the journey 🙏😊xx

    Hi from Australia. Well done Richard. My first doll house is still in the box and I can’t wait to get started. Have been binge watching mini tutorials to give me some ideas. I have always been fascinated with miniatures and now I have something to occupy myself in retirement. I guess you are never too old.Your first attempt at making the dresser was first class. Why would you think people would make fun of you. Reading the comments on many of the tutorials they all seem very supportive. Cheers Robyn

    Hello from Florida. I'm so happy to have found your channel! I remodeled a dollhouse with my students at school for a fundraiser about 10 years ago. The dresser is lovely as you've done wonderfully well for your first piece . I lpve that you've given it a bit of a distressed look which in my opinion means a piece of furniture is well loved and used . Also the front steps showing a bit of wear is a perfect touch !!! The roof will be magnificent....................................but my preference of paint would have been a dark charcoal to represent slate instead of the black . Please stay well , be safe , prosper and , as they say , '' crack on '' . I make my home in Ontario , Canada .

    • @RichMiniatures
      @RichMiniatures  Рік тому

      Hi Cathy, many thanks for your lovely comments. I do love the idea of making new things for my houses and then stressing them in some way to give the effect of "wear & tear". And also, now you've put the idea in my head, the roof tiles would definitely look better if they were more grey like slate! I've actually added onto the huge mental list of things I want to make or do! Nothing is in order on that list so the repainting of the roof could be any time! So thank you for your thoughts, I agree with you completely 🙏 and a big hug to Ontario from the UK ❤️

    My first miniature diorama was staged in a miniature bread loaf pan. When l made it l had planed on selling it. Needless to say l couldn't because it was my first. So l know how you feel about this dollhouse. I love the stain glass look you have done. I am from the States and live in Phoenix, Arizona. I have bought those roof tiles also for a project I will be using an old nick nack shelf that sorta looks like a house. I am turning it into a sewing shop. Love the brick work between you bay windows. I an new to your channel this is the second of your videos l have watched. Giggles you are so funny. Nice build for your first piece of furniture.

    What do I think of the dresser? I think it's bloody gorgeous m8!! 🤓 I have a small tip; you may have done it already but you can use the same strips as you have used for the outside corners of the house, just bend them the opposite way to finish the inside corners as well.

    I like the idea of making your own stain glass windows. They will look lovely when the lights are on in the house. If I had a go at this I may use some printable acetate as I am rubbish at trying to use that stuff to draw those lines. The roof was looking amazing, so worth the added expense. Wow, just love your first piece of furniture, it looks amazing. I am going to have to track down this Julie Warren on UA-cam to watch her make furniture. What is the scale of your dolls house? This week I am spray painting the inner sides of the front doors.

    • @RichMiniatures
      @RichMiniatures  2 роки тому +1

      Yes Natasha, I like the idea of printable stained glass, didn't even know it existed, me being new to all this!
      The house is 1:12th scale. We decided to buy this size houses as its the most popular size, so much easier to find items to go in them. And I like the idea of spray painting, I bet that will look a lot neater than using a brush, and qujcker to do!
