    I was planning on replicating a deviled egg we had at a restaurant in VA where the egg was fried with panko, then topped with lump crab along with the yolk/mayo filling. Your idea of adding mayo and mustard to the egg wash is next level. This is why I do research and this will make my wife's Valentine's Day dinner extra special.

    Great recipie. One little tip. I always use a brown bag when breading like that. No worries of wet coating sticking to the plastic. I use a brown bag when i bread fish as well.

      IMHO really not worth the extra steps but i like the way she bread with the bag method looks lot easier than the way tried it. all though they were good they won't much better than traditional deviled eggs. may have to give this another shot.

    great video. Question, I have the same Ninja (it''s new) and when using the pressure side of it, the "pin" leaks steam for a minute or so before it seats. I've only used it a few times, but I smacked it at this point and it then seats. Is this normal? Thanks.

    We tried these on Christmas day and were disappointed. The panko did not go with the egg whites and the filling did not have enough taste. We love a lot of your recipes, but this one was not a hit at our house. Sorry.

    • @TheSaltedPepper
      @TheSaltedPepper  Рік тому

      No need to be sorry, people have different likes and dislikes. I’m a little confused about the Panko because I use mostly breadcrumbs with just a bit of Panko for crunch. Panko is just coarser white breadcrumbs so I’m wondering if perhaps you got a seasoned kind. The filling should have plenty of flavor, maybe you needed a touch more salt.

      @@TheSaltedPepper I think we did use too much Panko. We did eat all of them. haha

      @@lolodee3528 Trust me we love her and use her recipes all the time. Her pot roast is the best. But I think this was a texture thing for us. Not saying we wouldn't try them again.

      I ordered some from a restaurant they were good but idk can't get used to that the egg white/panko taste. If it was just plain egg white with devil eggs, would be better
