Got to see the chopped in half one at UTV Invasion at St Anthony's this year. Switching to silicone charge pipes, DCT, anti-lag, so many amazing features on this new car. If Polaris doesn't switch over to a DCT in the near future, I may be switching to the dark side. That DCT is the #1 selling point in my book to never deal with belt issues. Glad you guys reviewed it, nobody has talked about bottoming out yet and that did not seem like a big enough whoop to really slam the rear like that especially on a smart shock model. It seems like a hell of a car but I'm glad you pointed out that it's still not a perfect car. Wonder if it's the added weight of the DCT on the back? Also my first time seeing tire rub in a review like that as well. Even if it's lower PSI on the tire you shouldn't have to be restricted in tire pressure because more than not you need to air down the tires on these cars for ride quality and grip. I'm excited to see what aftermarket companies do with the suspension design to allow for wider paddles. Tooele Valley Motorsports here in Utah is running a set of skinny skat traks currently so paddles are doable on the car but you aren't going to get some wide STU's on there without spacers or huge offsets.
First thing think to do is to powdercoat the knuckles black. They look 10x better and not as noticeable. And build it into a race car, and add some power to it. I feel it will grow on you after time, and learn the suspension settings and shifting with the tap shift
Interested to see it on Michigan trails, not in Sport+. Cant believe everyone said its really choppy when they all instantly got in and set suspension full hard...
I was watching a different review check the rear tie rod nuts you pointed out they had there's fall out bent arm and popped tire. maybe if you could get the weight down would make it a whole new rig.
Good video, I liked the detailed walk around. I think these “top dawg” cars and become so big and heavy, they really shine in the rough SW desert, but sluggish in your type of terrain… excited to drive one but for $44k the cage still looks scary. I was at a shop picking up my car after getting repairs done from damage resulting from a roll and I brought up the Maverick R. Even though they were a Polaris shop (I have a Turbo S) they said Can Am invited them to an event to test drive the Maverick R and the Gentleman said it had no power coming out of turns, it felt like it was still deciding which gear it wanted be in to accelerate out of the turn. I thought he was maybe a little biased because he was a Polaris shop but hearing what y'all said is food for thought. I want to buy a 2 seater to build for the 2025 season and was considering the Maverick R.
Wow, let me see! Let’s set the suspension on it’s stiffest setting then complain about the ride being choppy! Makes sense to me! Don’t know what happened between you and BRP but it is showing in your review.

Lol. Pro-R still runs a belt. Not a fan of belts, hence why I have a YXZ. Now listed for sale! As I'm going to look and possibly buy a new Maverick R (non smart shock). If Polaris would get rid of that belt, it'd be back on top again. But it's going to be a hard pass for me, solely because of the belt.
turbo upgrade, 1 inch wheel spacers, different wheels and tires. Would like to see the yxz come back or a newer yxz with the sport shift and build it out.
Cant wait to see it back on your track and trails to see how it compares to the other cars in terrain your familiar with. I’ve been watching since Leo got his 2017 and I’m psyched for the next gen 6 years later!
Also. If you have no battery power and its not in" shut off neutral" you have to remove a cover and use a tool to turn over the trans and its not fun to get to.
I drove the new Can Am this past weekend, and while it was a nice machine, I was kind of disappointed. Honestly, I would much rather spend another $7k and get a 2024 Pro R with a Evo Paragon Turbo Kit/Tapp clutch/supporting mods.
First of all that first impression video was awesome. My favorite part was the honesty and know one was wearing their can am kneepads. As for upgrades I think a cage, some EVO love and some kind of tire size fitment video would be good.
Monster of a machine, people are salivating at any opportunity for it to fail simply because it has an unorthodox front suspension. These are damn impressive compared to its competitors
Please do a comparison to the PRO R with this on everything to see if it’s better at track, jumps, whoops, drag, mud, ext. let’s see if it can hang with the pro r

If a rope handle is good for a Ferrari F40, it’s good for a Maverick R. I really like the Maverick R but could never see myself buying one. Way too big and unnecessarily powerful for the tight, twisty and rocky trails I ride.
Great vid as always, appreciate the unbiased review.
Video makes me feel even better about picking up my Pro R a few months back. Pro R still king daddy overall. Sucks the tires are rubbing stock.
Would like to see the yxz come back or a newer yxz with the sport shift and build it out.
yes the new one with a 6 speed. 🙌
doesn’t need a turbo upgrade to make 300 plus hp. It comes with a 54mm from factory
At least they can freely say what they like and dislike after getting a own one instead of being invited to the launch ride
Cant wait to see it back on your track and trails to see how it compares to the other cars in terrain your familiar with. I’ve been watching since Leo got his 2017 and I’m psyched for the next gen 6 years later!
It's not wanting to upload for me
Be a nice rig for Matt since his is older
Wouldn’t that look good with a Milwaukee Pack in the back
Monster of a machine, people are salivating at any opportunity for it to fail simply because it has an unorthodox front suspension. These are damn impressive compared to its competitors
There is nothing impressive about them have hardly any power.look like crap.
@@jerrywilcox9890it’s literally the most powerful production sxs ever made? No power?
Love it! Hope you guys get a Speed UTV out there too I can’t wait to hear what you guys say about it!
Completely junk I sold my build spot
They wont buy one till dealers have one. The xx left a bad taste in their mouths last time.
Those speeds are completely trash. They dyno at 151 to the wheel and sound like complete ass
Please do a comparison to the PRO R with this on everything to see if it’s better at track, jumps, whoops, drag, mud, ext. let’s see if it can hang with the pro r
Video won't play for me either.
Matt’s over there hugging the rig like this is mine.
