Dang I'm in this process but i swapped the wiring harness and Air stuff along with the Facelift steering column, you have to widen the hole in the firewall for the grommet to about 2.5" though. Did your dash fit in okay without cutting and re welding the top tabs near the windshield?
Personally I don’t recommend removing heaters from cars even race cars mainly for the window defrost me and my dad have rally cars and my dads one has no heater and we wish it did but we can’t put one in because it has a weird roll cage but not being able to defrost the windscreen sucks especially in the middle of a rally stage if it starts fogging up
No I didn’t and trust me, I’ve searched far and wide for them lol I’ve even tried to get the measurements from people that do have them and they never do 👎🏼 Once I get someone to get me the measurements, I’ll make my own and I’ll let you know lol I have tons of pictures so I know I could probably make them now but it’d be super cool to make them to OEM specs
Sooo, were you able to keep your steering column or no? I’m currently in the process of this. From 94 to a facelift. I rrrrrreally do not want to have to get a working steering column and have two sets of keys for my car
Yeah I was able to keep the stock column. I just used a GD holding bracket but I think one from a facelift would work even better so I’m gonna look for one of those and use that. I wouldn’t want to have different keys either
@@StayOnTheGas Thanks for replying. That one bracket you showed in the video is all you needed? I’m assuming that was a GD one. I was able to pull that bracket off a facelift
@@StayOnTheGas so to explain. I have wrx 1996. I want to change the dashboard like yours from the video (facelift) My question is, do I need to remake the electronic jacks from the cable installation for the new dashboard? I'm sorry for my bad english :D

Did you get the brackets for the LHD cubby? They rattle a bit without the bracket. If so let me know where to get the bracket haha

Yeah that’s all you need. I used a GD one but try that facelift one and let me know how it goes!
Could you tell me if the sockets for the installation are different according to the dashboard
What exactly do you mean?

No worries on the English haha
Are you talking about the speedo?
@@StayOnTheGas Yes, and for all other types of dashboard buttons. :)
You need to swap the harness too and you’ll need a transmission with an electronic speedo
I can assure you that changing the bulbs is not nearly that easy on facelift!
I need to do mine on the blue car
@@StayOnTheGas The LED illumination pattern isn't great in the AC controll panel. It uses plastic tubing to redirect light from a halogen bulb.
Yeah I’ve done it on previous cars. Wish there was a fix to that
@@StayOnTheGas The LEDs that I got even had diodes on both sides of the body, but it didn't point right in the area that it needed it!
Yeah it needs to be 360° illumination. I thought they made some but I’m not sure. I’ll look into it
