Barbara, I spoke to Justine when he was visiting John, my neighbour in the U.K. I told him how I am in awe, especially of you , for your achievements on transforming the farm. I have never seen a girl do such physical work. You are amazing. I was in tears ,listening about the dog attack, and both amazed and relieved to hear the final outcome. However, not so good that all the chucks now have to be separated. They were your ‘family’. Looking forward to continuing videos over time, especially when you start on the inside. Doreen

I’ve only just seen this Barb, what a horrible experience for you. You sound as though you coped with it remarkably well but I hope you don’t have to go through anything like that again. Any idea whose dogs they are?
Hi Dee, the dogs were local strays. They are actually very sweet things but I guess they saw a walking KFC and did what dogs do. Barb is fine as are the chooks. Love to papa G as well. Xx
Ants absolutely hate a plant called penny royal. I don't know how well it would do in your weather. Also if you have lemon trees use the juice around the chicken pen they dont like that either. You need to get a gun to carry with you.
Thanks Julia, we will see if we can get that plant and if its allowed here. To be fair the dog that attacked them is actually a very friendly girl, but with a walking KFC on offer you can't really blame her...lol
@greenerinportugal I belive its herb . Long ago, people used to grow it around their house to stop ants getting in. It's a low grower. You can get the seeds. I think Thompson and Morgan do approved EU seeds.
