Well done, u are amazing how you work things out, lovely to see your good friend helping you to make good use of the old machinery . Lovely to see Odin growing up and his beautiful nature. Such a beautiful family look all working 💪 😊❤together. 😊
Hey frenchie, that old side cutter will save you, when you need to cut brush and stuff, down a path that you can't get a normal cutter in, he kept it around, for something!.
Hello, nices old metal pieces. The cutter-bar of a tractor side mower. Beautiful object Plowshares are good decorative elements The curved steel piece probably comes from a portcullis Keep it for a future use.????. The 3 rounded corrugated sheets, when assembled, are shelters for cattle, pigs, sheep, etc. A shelter possibility for the Fire Wood............. or a cabin for the Kid!!!! Bon courage and stay safe.
The cutter-bar and plows we keep! The rest is a bit too far gone to use or display. We have kept many old hinges and locks we find! The corrugated sheets i gave to Claude the mechanic he will recycle the metal. I will use solar panels as roof for storing our wood in the future.
The world is a much better place for having you all in it! Your morals and work ethics are phenomenal. Thank you for allowing us to share in your French journey 😊😊. After watching your videos I find myself daydreaming about visiting your home with you and your sweet family.
Wow! It’s taken me 3 days to binge watch 44 episodes!!!! Beautiful presentation of a beautiful family’s journey. Well done Philippe and Anicia (and, of course Odin)!! Now I have to wait for Sundays like the rest of your loyal followers. Blessings to you all and may all your dreams come true. 🙏🏻👏🏻
I came across your first episode.....moving to france and clear the farm....Wow....you(s) do work hard and smart....just watching Phillipee work get my tired😂.....many Blessings to you
All those tractors, machines are excellent to have to help out however, there sure is a lot of preventative maintenance as well. I’m sure it’s worth all the PM and time into it though.
A few of my favorites: The bird song. The raking crunching. The orange handle on the wood chipper. “The grand scheme of things”. The perfect music. “I don’t know what the altitude is, but it is low enough.”
I have finally caught up. I have spent the last few days watching from the beginning. You have a lot of energy and have accomplished a lot it one year. Thank you for including Odin and his milestones that he reaches. Seeing him going from his rolling to crawling and finally to walking. I love to see him dance and sing, it is precious. Philippe and Anicia you have accomplished so much in just one year. I look forward to your Sunday vlogs. Thank you for bringing us along on your journey. Saskatchewan, Canada
Hey Ronnie! Thx for watching and supporting us! When we watch the first video and now we have cleaned and cleared up a whole lot 😎Odin is having a great time, he goes to the daycare now to learn the language and hopefully make friends 🙏👍
Carrie everywhere i go they are there but it is a nice dynamic to have around the yard. The rooster is becoming bigger and he is starting to control the hens!
Like others , I have only come across your channel 3 days ago and have been binge watching to see if it is a subscriber site for me, It is. I must say how impressive it is to watch a really hardworking, happy, caring young couple with a really happy young Odin. I only really try to follow honest, no BS channels who are not overtly commercial. You are a great inspiration to an older man who knows you will make a fantastic home out of these hard efforts. Well done.
Put a rubber bungee cord on the handle of your chopping machine, that will keep it snug but be able to pull it up if necessary! Just a thought. Love you and your lovely family and your thoughtfulness of the planet. You are a hard worker and it is really showing in your property. Happy Fathers Day!🌈💓🌻🐓
I was once visited France year 1994 and I really love that place peaceful fresh air fresh veggies so quite ❤❤❤I'm so amazed and love watching cows and wide farm field
Yep, crazy that they’ve just scattered the tractor pieces all over. Sending you on a scavenger hunt?🙄 When we had a bigger lawn, and a ride on mower, I always worried about running over rocks. I can’t imagine having to worry about so much crap all over the place 😬 We brought up our children with the knowledge that any kind of littering is wrong. They were always shocked when they saw neighbors and friends throw even a candy wrapper on the ground, in their own yard. So many seem to think the world is their trash can 😞 I’m sure your beautiful trees are breathing a sigh of relief with all that ivy and brambles removed 👍🏻
Hey Annelies, we were brought up not too litter as well so i find it an odd thing to do as well. I've hit a few rocks and some metal pieces it is a bit scary when you hit it 😅
@DomaineSauvage we must think alike. Depending on your income, you might look into a small tractor that could plough rotovate, tow, even a small front bucket/forks.
I stumbled across your channel and also--like another follower--watched all 44 episodes! It took me over a week, though! I admire you all, Anicia, Phillipe and Odin, for following your dreams, selling it all and moving far from family and friends. I wish I could have been that brave when I was younger. It is fun watching the progress that is being made a little at a time. It is never boring! It even inspires me to go work on the yard and reorganize! Your place is already looking amazing! Thank you for letting us share your adventure. (I'm watching episodes over now and catching things I didn't see the first time.) I'll see you again on Sunday! Nicki--kindergarten teacher from Indianapolis, Indiana
Hey Nicki! Thx for these very kind words and support! The step was not easy and it is still not easy but we had to try and see if we could better ourself. Thank you for watching! 🙏👍
Everything is looking go awesome and so clear and cleaned up!!! Your little one is growing so fast. I hope you all enjoyed time off and had a wonderful time at your brothers wedding. I just love how your husband explains with such laughter and joy when he finds the rubbish in the yard. I truly enjoy your videos and so much looking forward every week for one . As always thank you for sharing. With lots of love from 🇺🇸 Cindy
I would like to tell you that you, are the hardest working young man I have ever seen. I enjoy your conversations with the camera( your audience ) very much. God bless you and your beautiful family.
You could use a carry box on your tractor when that is going, it s so much easier to roll heavy rock into it at ground level, and the curved corrugated sections will be just right to place over your log pile. I should have videoed our restoration project, it would be nice to look back on. Stay safe! Chris B.

Interesting to see what you keep finding as you clear, hope YOU keep finding the "booby traps" before your mower does. Glad your camera is fixed, missed seeing a video last week. Your place is going to be extraordinary. Acres of land for Odin to play and grow up on.
Hey Rick, the camera is still with Canon so we bought another body so we could keep on making videos. Ever since i drove on a big piece of metal i am extra careful because it broke the belt which was 80 euros... Odin will have a few good acres to play in with his friends! 😁
Congratulations Anicia & Philippe 🎉 Thank you for sharing your experiences and crafting beautiful videos. Amoungst other things, you are skilled cinematographers.
I’m loving your channel watching you care for your land & family Odin is such a joy Thank you both for all your hard work in giving pleasure to so many 💜💙💙
I am commenting without watching this video first. I just discovered your channel this morning, and I am starting at the beginning. While we are experiencing a heat wave, this will be the perfect thing to binge on! I watch a few chateau restoration channels, but I have to say that the scale of those buildings is sometimes a bit much. It's gratifying to watch something I could actually picture myself doing. Looking forward to seeing more. Best wishes from the USA. 👍
Hey, in the beginning we looked at little chateaux as well or ruins. But as you say they require a lot of work and money and afterwards you need to maintain them as well. Hope you enjoy the rest of our videos!
Really enjoy watching your channel on UA-cam, and look forward to the next posting on Sunday. The drone shot at the beginning of this video truly shows the amount of work that has been done on your property. I am always amazed watching the drone shots. I applaud you both on this undertaking, and your dedication to live a self-sustaining lifestyle. Sometimes it has to be frustratingly hard, but you are both young, strong, and have a can-do attitude. Keep up the good work!
I am always totally fascinated watching you all work on the farm. Its weird the way I relax and feel good after one of your videos. Keep them coming! 👍👍👍
Nothing better than having a good chipper. We have one but it is very small and will only do small branches. That mulch will be very useful for the veg. garden etc., especially as summers are getting hotter. As for brambles, personally I loathe them and would eradicate them all - they can grow wild somewhere else.
You are truly the perfect person to take care of the land I'm so impressed at what you have achieved I grew up on the land my dad was a farmer and he took care of his land just like you. A real proud farmer
On top of all the hard work you put into your land, your are mowing your neighbour’s property too! Your are an asset to your community by restoring your land and being a good neighbour. I love this channel and relish each new episode😊
I'm hoping you get the tractor going soon. Would be good to see it moving and useful for you. Shame your camera broke down. I hope it wasn't too costly to fix 😊
Hello Jean, the tractor would be amazing! The camera has been at Canon for two weeks now and no word yet.. it should be under warranty.. We have bought a second camera body now which wasn't the plan.
@DomaineSauvage what a shame you've had to buy another one, but needs, must, I suppose. The tractor should be fine if it turns over. They generally live a long time 🙂
Summer will mean lots of mowing ahead of you. The little tractor with the mower has been a real workhorse, but I see a bush hog in your future. I have enjoyed all of your videos. I’m watching from Birmingham, Alabama,USA.
Oh yes it is already growing very fast with all the rain and higher temperatures. Hopefully we can get the old tractor up and running so the mower can get the easy work!
Hi again every time you are working with your jcb or your lawnmower the chickens are some day going to end up in the pot it looks funny when you put the video on time-lapse I think it's time out for one of them thanks for a lovely video once again
Hey Rob! Now that would have been an excellent idea but Claude the mechanic in our village has already cut them into pieces 😂 The channel is indeed growing which is good with the amount of work Anicia puts in! You know how it goes to edit everything and make something watchable out of it!
Your channel continues to be our favourite. We love your use of language and your comments are first class. The improvements you are constantly making are excellent and can only improve the land. Hats off to you both for the work you are doing 😊
Still really enjoying watching your channel and the progress you are both making. Sorry you are having such horrible weather, which really isn’t normal for this time of year. I have even taken to checking the weather forecast for your area as I’m worried you might get disheartened. Even the weather in the uk has changed for the better so here’s hoping it does the same for you. X
Thank you Miriam, the weather is causing delays in the jobs we have to do but we cant change the weather 😅It is indeed out of the ordinary if we talk to the people from the village, first time in their lifetime it has been this bad. Next week should be a bit better but they have been saying this for months now 😂
My priority would be the tractor and sickle bar working. There is so much land to clear, your equipment needs to match the task, even with maintenance, the lawn tractor doesn’t match the work. Just my opinion. Nice work.
Absolutely right, but i cant move the tractor up with all this rain.. still too wet! Until then the mower will have to suffer a little bit more but its retirement will be great 😂
Another great video. It is so satisfying to see you both clearing and caring for your land! Have you ever looked into a bush hog? One of those might help with the overall bramble scenario! Also, I love seeing Odin go through the developmental stages--now waking and using a few words. How cute!
Thank you again for the vlog. As always interesting and so good to see the progress. Congratulations on the anniversary - Ist year - on taking over your farm. Beautiful Odin! You are both surely proud of him. Best regards. Phil🇬🇧
Hi Anicia and Phillipe My wife and I found your channel a few days ago and we’re binge watching them right now. We’re up to #32 and we love it! Keep going, please! 🙏🏻
@@DomaineSauvage We are very happy to! We’re now about to watch #43, so almost caught up. Could Philiipe tell me which type (style number) of Snickers work pants he uses? I think they would suit me. Thank you so much ✌🏻
With all the metal you find, maybe think of getting a metal detector so you can find the metal and get it out of harm's way. I enjoy watching your jouney!
Philippe, if you think about it .. considering how much metal you've uncovered it's quite amazing the mower hasn't caught one piece strong enough to break the drive shaft. Hope it never happens.
In this video, Phillipe talks about digging up oak trees that are about eight years old. He also mentions that if he were to start new oak trees, in eight years he’d be fifty years old. Am I understanding then that he around forty-two now? He looks as though he’s only thirty.
As for wood chipper, the ones with a rotor and low speed are my preference, they are more expensive, but instead of just cutting the wood, they squeeze it hard in small pieces so the inner cells are crushed and thus are ideal for mulching in the garden; anyway if you stack it this will compost as well. other advantage these machines are not noisy and maybe safer because of the low speed... but don't put a finger inside anyway
Hi, I have watched a number of your video's. they are great, thank you. Concerning the shredding machine that you use, which gets stuck with leaves. from a mechanical perspective if the outlet would be facing downward instead of upward, the problem will be solved.
what a good dog....New here, I find your attention to detail and the passion you have for restoring the land and recycling everything you find so be so inspiring. Undoing the careless ills of the past. This is the future. Thanks
Well done, u are amazing how you work things out, lovely to see your good friend helping you to make good use of the old machinery . Lovely to see Odin growing up and his beautiful nature. Such a beautiful family look all working 💪 😊❤together. 😊
It's good to know that the US is not the only country that has property owners that treat their land as a junk yard.
PS you are doing a great job of restoring your land to a place that any landscape pro would be proud of. 😊
Hey frenchie, that old side cutter will save you, when you need to cut brush and stuff, down a path that you can't get a normal cutter in, he kept it around, for something!.

You have done an amazing job! Love your videos!
Thx Ann! 🙏
I guess most places you can sell old iron and get a little amount of money for your efforts that way, and metal can be recyled.
Hey David, i just bring it down to Claude and he will sell it. He has helped me with many other things already!
You are creating a jewel of a property.
Thx Gus!
Next week should be a bit better but they have been saying this for months now 😂
with all the metal spread in so many places I wonder if a simple metal detector would help find the metal before other tools do?
Ich freue mich immer auf eure Videos. Toller Schnitt und schöne Perspektiven.
Until then the mower will have to suffer a little bit more but its retirement will be great 😂
@@DomaineSauvage wish I could could give you some labor from Colorado.
Another great video. It is so satisfying to see you both clearing and caring for your land! Have you ever looked into a bush hog? One of those might help with the overall bramble scenario! Also, I love seeing Odin go through the developmental stages--now waking and using a few words. How cute!
Love watching the chickens free-ranging
They are lovely 👍
Free-ranging chicken are good at moving away snakes as well
Thank you again for the vlog. As always interesting and so good to see the progress. Congratulations on the anniversary - Ist year - on taking over your farm. Beautiful Odin! You are both surely proud of him. Best regards. Phil🇬🇧
Hey Phil, yeah we are proud of Odin 🤗He is growing up very fast! He is already filling up my wheelbarrow when he sees me working 😍
Your home is looking wonderful keep up the great work
Do you no longer have your cat?
Thx! Lucie is still with us 😉🤗She doesn't go far from the house, we will get her on camera one of these days 😎
I just binged watched all 44 episodes in two days!❤
Thx for watching and supporting us Mary!
Wow amazing 👏👏👏👏
Hi Anicia and Phillipe
My wife and I found your channel a few days ago and we’re binge watching them right now. We’re up to #32 and we love it!
Keep going, please! 🙏🏻
Hello Sudo, Thx for watching and supporting us! We will keep going 😉🙏
@@DomaineSauvage
We are very happy to!
We’re now about to watch #43, so almost caught up.
Could Philiipe tell me which type (style number) of Snickers work pants he uses?
I think they would suit me.
Thank you so much ✌🏻
@@sudo_nym If i am not mistaken 6214RuffWork. They are heavier pants to wear but they do last longer.
@@DomaineSauvage
Thank you 🙏🏻
With all the metal you find, maybe think of getting a metal detector so you can find the metal and get it out of harm's way. I enjoy watching your jouney!
We might get one but i hope it doesn't beep everywhere 😅
The farm looks better and better every time you put the new video up , must be very satisfying for you guys 😊
Thx Katarzyna, and yes it is satisfying to see less and less rubbish and more nature 😅🙏
I think the tractor and parts were spread around separately, the tractor tires removed to hide the tractor when abandoned or hidden
Could be but we have a pretty good idea what happened but we can not share everything on UA-cam 😉
This is such a wonderful journey , thank you sooooo much x
If you ever are able to learn the names of your birds I would love to know them. Thank you for letting us hear them.
So beautiful all the mature trees!
Thx, we have a old forest and a young forest!
Good trip to Belgium. God bless.❤️🙏
It was a good trip. Thx!
On est champion du monde de la paperasse 😅😅😅 comme au foot en battant la Belgique 😅😅😅
Championnat du monde de paperasserie entre la Belgique et la France 😂
so much inspiration in your vlogs and your family and chickens and dog and cat.❤❤❤
Thank you Scott!
when we were working in Saudi Arabia, the fighter planes also flew very low overhead most mornings.
1st off the block!!!!
Hahaha well done LL 🙏😂❤
Hi, I have watched a number of your video's. they are great, thank you. Concerning the shredding machine that you use, which gets stuck with leaves. from a mechanical perspective if the outlet would be facing downward instead of upward, the problem will be solved.
what a good dog....New here, I find your attention to detail and the passion you have for restoring the land and recycling everything you find so be so inspiring. Undoing the careless ills of the past. This is the future. Thanks
Brilliant mind..
