A true front man, David Byron is just amazing with the way he leads the listener on a poetic journey. What a powerful force in rock and roll. I was Lucky enough to see them in concert one time in the late '70s.!
GARY THAIN IS THE BEST BASSIST IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK N ROLL. WITHOUT HIM URIAH HEEP IS A SPENT FORCE. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE GARY. YOU ARE ALWAYS WITH US.
Apropo searching for stuff one hasn't heard. You Japanese have done a big service to music lovers since you've given so many (rock) musicians a market and a living when there wasn't enough in Europe, USA etc. Second largest music market in the world I believe?
Yes, sad and for me especially Ken who gave me a drum kit on my 16th birthday! Later in 1984 I had the pleasure of setting up their Indonesian show in the mountains of Bandung - Mick and Lee were the only original members by then. Mick Box has to be one of the nicest people anyone could meet. Glad life has treated him well...
My mom told me about this band one day as she was reminiscing on her 'hippy days' and I instantly fell in love with their music. Where has all of the talent gone now-a-days?
Saw these guys in '73, awesome concert. Owned their Live album and I'm surprised the needle on my turntable didn't cut through the vinyl. Uriah Heep and Deep Purple were my two favorite bands. May David Byron and Barry Thain rest in peace.
Deep Purple and Uriah Heep were 2 of my favorites as well. Kansas, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Grand Funk Railroad, Humble Pie, Black Sabbath, and Credence Clearwater Revival also!
Saw these guys in Seattle exactly one week before this concert. This was their first gig since the Seattle Wa.show. I was in the second row and they were on fire. I put these guys up there with anybody
I totally agree. Uriah Heep is an awesome group. They are still together and constantly touring in Europe. I've seen them several times in Texas and Louisiana. I wish they would come back to the states. They havent been here in quite some time.
Saw them in '72 I think it was in Jacksonville Florida....loved it...theses guys were(are) fantastic!!!!!! Would love to see them concert in North Florida soon!
I really pisses me off that Uriah Heep isn't as celebrated as Led Zeppelin, or Black Sabbath. These dudes had as much to do with the formation of metal as those guys, rock gods Uriah Heep are.
Same. Without his style, the band coulve easily being sloppy hippie look. Thank God for David. He and Ken are uriah heep. Even Gary looked stylish though
Sorry to compare them with Ked Zeppelin or Black Sabath, I think you can't compare to them, I would compare and put them above even Deep Purple! Such good musicians, lookin for perfection and still rolling!
Maybe not as good as Zepplin but overall I liked all of the songs better than Black Sabbath. Great band. I am 58 now and when I listen to the live songs I wonder what I was doing when they were playing those. Hell of a rush.
Yeah so it's basically just a cover band. Check out HEEP FREEDOM. Thy r way better than the current lineup. A cover band from Hungary. The singer comes close to David voice.
Gary thain, the absolute Master of bass in rock
Gary Thain was a genius on bass guitar and what can you say about David Byron , simply one the greatest vocalists ever!
A true front man, David Byron is just amazing with the way he leads the listener on a poetic journey. What a powerful force in rock and roll.
I was Lucky enough to see them in concert one time in the late '70s.!
Gary Thain, my first bass hero. Still is. RIP Gary
GARY THAIN IS THE BEST BASSIST IN THE HISTORY OF ROCK N ROLL. WITHOUT HIM URIAH HEEP IS A SPENT FORCE. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE GARY. YOU ARE ALWAYS WITH US.
i'm sixty and still searching and listening to Uriah Heep of 70's, thanks UA-camrs.
Apropo searching for stuff one hasn't heard.

The same for me, only about three years later 😃
@@haliaeetus8221 I think so too. Spot on!
RIP Ken and Lee! What a dreadful year!😭

My mom told me about this band one day as she was reminiscing on her 'hippy days' and I instantly fell in love with their music. Where has all of the talent gone now-a-days?
Excellent musicians combined with beautiful vocal harmonies and original sound. Is Uriah Heep!
I loved the Heep. Rockers all of them. I never got to see them live which is so sad.
Thank goodness for U Tube
I remember seeing them in 1974. Byron was drunk off his Azz but they rock n rolled us for over 2 hours. Great band!!

for me Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Uriah Heep is the unholy quartet of hard rock/heavy metal and i love them all
Check out VANILLA FUDGE if you don't know them 👍
Master class right here.
The vocals in this band are just brilliant
1973, & 23 years.Yeah,traveller in time.Welcome to Estonia in July 2010.

Tragic that these RIPs will continue until the last Heep is gone.
fuck time.
Fuck time indeed ...Gary thain, the best!!
Tengo el Uriah Heep live. january 73,uno de los mejores discos en directo de la historia!!!!
We're all just travellers in time, past present and future. And as the lyric says just trying to make a contribution. (Finding a way to help mankind)
Saw these guys in Seattle exactly one week before this concert. This was their first gig since the Seattle Wa.show. I was in the second row and they were on fire. I put these guys up there with anybody
What a great show! My father introduced me this band :)
I love this song! And i absolutly love Uriah Heep! LONG LIVE URIAH HEEP!
I´VE JUST TRAVELLED IN TIME
Favourite from 70s, trippy psychedelic hard rock !!
I totally agree. Uriah Heep is an awesome group. They are still together and constantly touring in Europe. I've seen them several times in Texas and Louisiana. I wish they would come back to the states. They havent been here in quite some time.
Gary Thain...amazing!
I know he just killed it on the bass
@@ley98 he died too young. His live performances were crazy good...
Mick Box solo at the end is so mind-blowing! There's nothing virtuoso, but it's very fuzzy, acid, and edgy! I like his style.
This is my favourite from the Uriah Heep live album , but there's so many good tracks on that album it's a close call
I do agree with all these comments. I liked them back in 70s and still do.
I saw them in 1972 !!!
Lucky you!!!
Man I’m jealous. I was too young! July Morning is my favorite.💯
England might have produced many good bands, but none better than them.
RIP David Byron
Hensley,schönsterRocker aller Zeiten ❤❤❤❤❤

This is so much better than the tame studio version.
Saw them in '72 I think it was in Jacksonville Florida....loved it...theses guys were(are) fantastic!!!!!! Would love to see them concert in North Florida soon!
They were my first concert :)
Me too this was my 1st album I ever bought by shoveling snow still sounds fantastic
Traveller Out of any time : perfekt timeless!!
That was fucking righteous brother!!!
Great song! I remember jamming to the Uriah Heep Live album in college. Brings back memories.
I really pisses me off that Uriah Heep isn't as celebrated as Led Zeppelin, or Black Sabbath. These dudes had as much to do with the formation of metal as those guys, rock gods Uriah Heep are.
right there with u, i always loved these guys, esoteric, that may have done it
Legends of the finest rock
Byron is a kind and wise joker, while Lawton is a valiant knight. They are both charming and wonderful.
I LOVE TOO MUCH DAVID BYRON
Grandiosi!

I like David's funky clothes^^
Same. Without his style, the band coulve easily being sloppy hippie look. Thank God for David. He and Ken are uriah heep. Even Gary looked stylish though
Maravilha!!!!!!!
This was in 1973, not 1974.
Too bad they didn't focus much on Mick Box. That dude was a great guitarist great licks and great stage presence.
Gary Thain is the best bassist of all time!!!!!!
see them clap for the front liners , year 🍬🥳
Sorry to compare them with Ked Zeppelin or Black Sabath, I think you can't compare to them, I would compare and put them above even Deep Purple! Such good musicians, lookin for perfection and still rolling!

@vertisol54
Ooops, Gary Thain
Maybe not as good as Zepplin but overall I liked all of the songs better than Black Sabbath. Great band. I am 58 now and when I listen to the live songs I wonder what I was doing when they were playing those. Hell of a rush.
I honestly prefer both Heep and Sabbath to Zeppelin.

One of the worst cut ever in a song. Congrats!!
Congrats, congrats, this can't be true.
