Tip... always handle vinyl albums by the edge. Never put fingers on the playable part of the album. Store in a protective sleeve inside the album cover to keep in good condition.
^ yup. The reason is because the oil from your fingers gets into the record grooves making them hard to clean and affects the overall sound. If you take care of records you can play them forever. 🤘🏽
It is definitely a good tip. But it’s not like you’re stepping on the third rail if you touch the surface. It’s not going to nuke the record. Just try not to.
Apparently, this song was written in about 15 minutes when the band was told that they needed one more song for their album. "Iron Man" is my favourite Black Sabbath song. So if you haven't reacted to that one yet, please do so.
You might want to also check out Black Sabbath after Ozzy left. Ronnie James Dio became lead singer. My favorite is "Heaven & Hell" and "Children of the Sea".
He hooked you up with a pretty cool album. It's kind of a greatest hits type album. Every true rock n roller has this album in their collection. Take great care of it.
I love how you said you can hear it. Black Sabbath was famous for recording together live in studio in the same room. One take some overdubs later, all good. You can hear it. We Sold Our Souls For Rock and Roll. One of they top 5 greatest albums created.
The thing I always find most amazing when listening to Tony Iommi's guitar is that he lost the tips of two fingers on his right hand in an accident at 17 which as a left handed player makes things very difficult and yet he still plays such amazing guitar
Whoever mixed the track and edited it did a good job. The sound is very crisp and every instrument is profound. It’s really a testament to their production and at the same time they were just that damn good of a band.
Black Sabbath truly is one of the greatest bands mainly because they invented heavy metal they created something that will never die and something that will forever be way more iconic than anything else. Like you have to understand back in the 60s during the British invasion mainly music was all happy go lucky and not very intelligent just very predictable and very pandering. But nobody expected a band like Black Sabbath to come out a band that created a certain type of music that no one has ever heard before. Plus all the members of Black Sabbath were heavily influenced by the blues and jazz music and they took all those influences and made their music more darker and more sinister. The next song I would recommend reacting to is the self titled Black Sabbath song which is called Black Sabbath off of their debut album called Black Sabbath. It’s basically the song that gave birth to heavy metal because of its simplicity with a guitar riff that is very simplistic but very effective and very evil sounding and also hit you with some very dark Luciferian lyrics. Basically the song is based off of a Real life supernatural occurrence that happened to the bass player one night when he was sleeping after receiving a book about the occult which was given to him by Ozzy Osbourne. He woke up and claims that he saw a dark figure standing at the foot of his bed pointing at him with eyes of fire.
I look at the date this came out, then look at the top 100 chart for that same year. Simon & Garfunkel were doing Bridge over Troubled Water that year. Listen to these two songs back to back, that kind of variety and talent is why I like rock music.
My dad had this "Record" when he was a teenager. In the 80's I remember being him buying it for my cousin on a cassette. When I was a teenager in the 90's I bought it on CD. Now I stream it. 50+ years across all media types and it keeps people of all ages interested.
That double LP vinyl "We sold our souls for rock n' roll" was a 'best of' Black Sabbath release in 1975... it's got the best tracks from the 1st six Sabbath records (the next 2 Sabbath albums w/ Ozzy Osbourne did not sell as well... 'Technical ecstasy' in 1976 and 'Never say die!' in 1978). Black Sabbath was in financial chaos in 1974, when they realized that their manager Patrick Meehan had spent years stealing the band's income & royalties by means of seedy contracts... they also faced lawsuits from a former manager... so, the band took a year off in '74 to sort out their legal issues. They were also broke, and Geezer Butler (bass) tried to manage the band, but they ultimately had to hire new managers. By the time the next record 'Sabotage' came in 1975, Sabbath was angry and frustrated w/ the music business... Ozzy Osbourne recalled that before 1975, they made records out of creative energy... After that, he felt they were just making records to pay off the lawyers 😂 "We sold our souls for rock n' roll" was released to generate income for the band, who desperately needed to survive their legal & financial woes. Black Sabbath fired Ozzy Osbourne in 1979 after the commercial failure of their 1978 album 'Never say die!' Ozzy Osbourne would launch his solo career in 1980... Black Sabbath carried on briefly w/ singer Ronnie James Dio.
It was my first Sabbath album, and although I have every Sabbath album now, I still go back to it at times. There’s something kind of magical about it for me. I love it. Same thing with KISS Double Platinum. My first KISS album, and there’s just something weird about it - whether the mix or the tracking - but sometimes I just have go back to it.
@@TheColdrush22 Well... The Eagles' "Greatest hits '71 - '75" is the biggest selling record of all time, and Led Zeppelin's 'Mothership' compilation is a big seller today, as is Queen's 'Greatest hits'... Oasis' 'Time flies'... and Aerosmith's 'Greatest hits' collections... so...
Sound quality on this channel is so good. Thanks guys, BLACK SABBATH, i used to buy all the vynil records back in the days. Love Tony Iommi's guitar playing. 👊👊❤
Thanks for the show and tell..brings back a lot of memories! You can tell that one has spun many times over the years. The art and words on an LP were priceless. Remember, lyrics weren’t as readily accessible back then as now.
Ozzy and Black Sabbath literally invented Heavy Metal, or were at least the ones to make it their own. That's why Ozzy will be Metal royalty even if he makes a Ballet song haha
Them, LZ, and Deep Purple the origin of heavy metal. Sabbath and DP are more just pounding it out, while LZ has a lot of other types of songs (ie blues) .
Hey guys this song is so cool black sabbath paranoid I love the way Ozzy Osbourne sings this song so cool great drummer and great guitar and I liked your reactions 😊
Yeah man I just noticed that Tony email me the guitarist he's using an octave splitter well I probably along with the fuzzbox but anyway that's why it has that unique tone
Paranoid only took 10 mins to write because they wanted something to fill a gap they had on an album, ended up being there biggest hit, album was originally going to be called warpigs but they thought that was to controversial so they called the album paranoid, and as they say the rest is history
That vinyl record looks brand new I mean you can tell the cover or the box or cardboard that was around it it's got their name on it has been around but that record look brand new
Hey you guys that LP ya just showed.... WE SOLD OUR SOUL's For ROCK N ROLL .... now I forget which tune it is but I believe its the last song on side 3....it's printed on the cover but is not on the record itself. Might be Wicked World. If ya have it like I said...that's an 1st printing..... they changed the album cover on newer versions as not to have printed the song.
You should check out Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath. They chose to go with the horror type of genre. All of their songs don't necessarily have that feel but as a kid I loved the song Black Sabbath even though it scared the crap out of me at the time 😳😂 They are not Satan worshipers even though my mom and people that weren't really familiar with the music thought so.

Cringe to see that!
Sabbath is 1 of the best ever. Fairies Wear Boots by them makes for great reactions
"His voice sounds like he's far away" that's a perfect analogy. Great reaction
A rock legend, how he's still alive I don't know. Brilliant song.
He snorted a line of Ants on the ground! While on tour with Motley Crue!🤨
He's embalmed with all the drugs he took. There's very little organic still living in him.
Some time the good die young,,🤔 so what does that say🤔 Ozzy is bad ass🤘🤘 he will live until his body gives up 🤘🤘🤘
War pigs,, epic, every one has to know it, if they are a black sabbath/ Ozzy fan🤘🤘🤘
Blows my mind how heavy this was back before I was born.IIt still is hard in 2022.

great song someone correct me if I am wrong the lyrics sound like a person who is going through depression their feelings

Hey man, records should go in dust sleeves and you should hold them from the edges. You need to clean that record man...
They wanted to name this album War Pigs, but the studio wouldn't let that be the album name..So they went with Paranoid instead.
Another banger! Drive to this and see how heavy your foot becomes!
