Thank you for the wonderful series! It got so at the end, every time I heard rushing river rapids, I felt dread. All the brutal portages are appreciated because no stress watching y'all navigate them. White water will never be the same or me. 🙂
On the whole, I think I’d give it a miss, but a great trip. What a generous and supportive friend you are, nice to see these days. It was a great deal of effort to take us with you, thank you.
What an incredible 6 transmission series Old Chaps! Thoroughly enjoyed watching you in occupied a Norway behind enemy lines! Beautiful but brutal at the same time. You chaps did it Bravo 🙌🙌🙌
Andy must thank God he had you to help him through the whole trip he would never of made it without you but that's what friends are for and like me and my friends we start a adventure together we will finish it together keep going lads brilliant adventure
I hope you have a film planned which talks about your clothing & kit with what worked & what didn't. And what you would take to replace that which didn't work. Great trip. You tested yourselves & your friendship & have come out stronger & wiser.
It is so good to hear your laughter Simon, seeing you going through the most challenging parts of the trip with so much light heartedness really inspires me so much! When you take trips like this all the small stuff that can be stressful when you’re at home seems so irrelevant in hindsight, thank you so much for inspiring us to get out into nature more often and for taking us along with you on another amazing adventure!
Thank you, Simon for continuing to film when you were completely spent. I hung on every moment of your videos even as I came and went on my own adventures over the weeks. I'm hoping your foot is healing and no permanent damage was done. Cheers to a job well done!
What a trip! Poor Andy! It is a good thing you were with him! Goes to show just how perilous the wilderness can be. Thank you for the glimpse into my heritage. Love watching you two! xo from Canada
"Simon & Andy, exhausted & wet blokes in Norway!" Thank you for sharing your adventurous excursions! Hope both of you recovered fully. EDIT: Considering ALL the trips back & forth during the portages, it appears you probably walked almost as far you canoed.
That, sirs, was an Adventure! Oftentimes the word Adventure is so loosely used but yours was truly a rugged Adventure. Bravo to both of you for taking us along on the sidelines. Truly one for the record books. Wonderfulthat it ended well. Loved it.
Amazing, amazing adventure. My heart goes out to poor Andy. He hasn't had much luck, but at least he's finished the journey with a massise smile on his face.
So much more challenging than what both you and Andy are accustomed to! I'd love to hear you do a video with maybe just a 10 minute or so summary of your trip. The challenges, did you like those canvas canoes? Etc. In any case, very much enjoyed your uploads! Thanks for sharing your adventure!
All I can say is...WOW!!! That was more like US Army Ranger training camp....Where only the toughest, most determined win through. You guys can proudly make yourselves a badge to wear! And you did it with a smile! Hats off to you both! Truely enjoyable vids, Thanks for all the extra hard work to take us all along...BRAVO ! ! !
Simon , a bloke made of Grit , determination , And Steel , And allways with a smile and positive attitude . A True Trooper . Thank you . 🐺 Loupis Canis .
What a great series. I really appreciate the hard work you put into these videos, Simon. I get most of my camping these days, vicariously, through you. Many thanks, and a big thumbs up. 👍
Amazing six-part adventure. It really demonstrated how brutal nature can be when you our normal creature comforts are not available. Both Simon and Andy are experienced outdoorsman yet you can see this adventure slowly chip away at them. Stunning scenery through and I hope you don't let the difficulties you experienced on this trip put you off going back next year. You two make a great team.
What a trip, if that didn’t give you a sense of achievement I don’t know what will! The highs and lows will make it all the more memorable. Once you’ve had chance to reflect on it you’ll both no doubt, in time, laugh about everything that happened! I can safely say the trials and tribulations of it weren’t lost on me, and that’s without all the unseen additional time and effort that it took to record every day! Think the fact you had to get from A to B in a set timescale added a different dimension to each episode! 👌 Give it a year, let the amnesia set in and you’ll be planning another foray, Canada beckons… 😉 Hats off to Peter, he sounds like a very helpful and generous bloke, the Scandinavian unit definitely pulled out all the stops and put a first rate effort into the logistics, supplies and equipment!!! You could say it was the Bushcraft equivalent of an all inclusive holiday!!! 🤣
Thanks mate! Already looking forward to the next adventure, apart from my feet (which took about 3 weeks to heal up) I was unscathed and not remotely put off doing this sort of thing again - I love a good physical challenge 😁 We couldn’t have done it with Peters help, he is a superstar!
Hindsight being 20/20, would you have picked a different route if you could? What do you wish you had brought, and what could you have left behind? What happened to your canoes? Did you sleep the entire plane ride home? What was your first meal upon arriving home? Has your ankle healed? What a wonderful, hard journey. Heaps of praise to you both for accomplishing it.
So many questions! Haha - I’ll do a kit video in a couple of weeks that might answer some of them - as for the ankle/feet - I ended up with perineal tendonitis in both feet that took about 3 weeks to heal up 🙄 We staying in a hotel that night before our flight home the next morning - ‘all you can eat buffet’ in the hotel restaurant - I ate so much!! 😂😂
It is said, that a trial such as this is like giving birth. It's painful! But the the memory of pain is soon forgotten. Just the splendor of accomplishment and fond memories. Beautiful.
Simon, love your videos. More inspiring, great quality and more real than the multimillion run main stream medias. Love your attitude and you are so positive towards everything and your laughs are so contagious. ❤️🙏 I learn this from you Simon- No matter how hard life hit us, we must keep going and be positive. Thank you so much for your wonderful videos and taking us with you into the wilderness ❤️🙏 😘
Omg, when Andy went in my heart about broke and watching up walk that boat around some of the rapids … slipping ..and my heart stopped … those were knee busting boulders you were climbing in and around. I hike and kayak in the Adirondacks and it reminded me of some of the areas around there. Glad you both made it thru ok.
Well done. Felt so sorry for your companion getting wet. One can appreciate how the Vikings must have felt on their way to the Black Sea. I hope you enjoy it when you get home and can appreciate your achievement in comfort.
It’s been thoroughly enjoyable watching this series and Andy’s version. It was filmed and edited with integrity; you can feel how tiring it was at times. Great choice of music to end on 👌. Well done!
Wow….that certainly looks like a real raging river you’re canoeing on 😮😮. Surprised you guys took it on as it seems almost too challenging for those type of canoes 🛶and equipment. I feel the pain that you and especially your feet must be in now. 😢
Thanks for sharing the entire adventure Simon, it’s made some some fantastic viewing over the weeks. Glad Andy wasn’t too traumatised by his capsize. That water must have been cold. Poor fella had it a bit rough. First his coat then his camera equipment.
Hi Simon I received a notification that I had won a draw please choose someone else as I live in Canada and do not camp anymore due to health issues, that is why I enjoy watching your videos so much.
That was a scam message, not from me. Somebody is trying to gain personal info from it - I will never post comments saying you have won a competition. I hope you didn’t click on anything!
What a trip Simon! You really pushed some limits there! Well done both of you! I have really enjoyed watching all of these episodes! It’s been such a great adventure and I am sure you will look back at it with great satisfaction as soon as you have recovered! Thanks again for sharing your adventures and I hope we’ll see you back in Sweden soon again!
I just watched this video for the second time and I enjoyed just as much as the first time! The photography was amazing and the camaraderie you and Andy have with each other tops everything up.Cheere
I thought you did a hell of a job Simon. The cinematography was excellent and the realism is much appreciated. Fatigue is very much the biggest enemy out there and combined with a deadline or a bit of a rush...when the mind gets as tired as the body is when one gets in trouble but you managed extremely well. Reminds me very much of the Canadian north and shield country where I'm from. Thank you very much for sharing this challenging but beautiful trip with us.
Hi Simon, what an adventure and thanks for sharing it with us. All episodes really great but could, have done with a slow motion replay of Andy when he went swimming. You clearly were a great support to him. Keep up the good work
That trip looked truly epic - me and the missis usually watch your videos to chill out but were on the edge of our seats that last episode! Amazing effort covering that distance and capturing the incredible scenery. You should do a Q&A with Andy/talk about your experiences there
This was a 6 part mini series drama. I planned to watch one per evening but it was so compelling, with mounting suspense, that I just couldn't look away. You really pushed yourselves to the limit on this one Simon. Really riveting stuff.
Looked like an amazing trip, proper gruelling, but I think worth it for the beauty and the memories. As mentioned before shame about the broken items and lost coat for Andy, but getting out there, is better than sitting on a couch engrossed by Netflix 👌🏻😂
The family and I have enjoyed watching y’all make this amazing journey. It looked absolutely brutal. Simon, your work ethic and dedication is above and beyond.
Somewhere a Canadian is wondering where your dry suits are. That was definitely a trip you two had to work for. Adventure is always a challenge, but I have a feeling that the sights were few and far between with all of the lining, portaging and missing out on camp sites. Good experience for the next journey.
Great trip guys. A big challenge which got steeper and steeper! Brilliantly shot and edited and narrated Simon. Have to say though, reasonable boats for lake, but unsuitable for grade 2 and above rapids 15:45. Could be the weight to surface area ratio, or could simply be that wide flat bottom; my kayak would ride over a minor broaching like that, without tipping over, 98 times out of 100. And it's obvious that Andy is no slouch as a paddler, and appeared to hit that wee chute well. Pillow rock? Anyway, you ride rapids, be prepared to swim at unexpected moments as no-one expects to can out! But you will ;)
Uff, got sucked in more on these episodes than in any Netflix series! As always, very much effort and love in filming and catching the moment and atmosphere in it. You're very talented and calm, even if exhaustion is written all over you're faces. Great job! Great journey!
I've dumped in cold water before, and it literally takes your breath away. It is hard to describe what goes through you, we,t freezing, your brain immediately stops, you cannot breath, and the shock of the water slows you down to 1/3 speed while the world around you continues. You have no idea about lost gear or paddles until you come out of it, and it is too late by then. The difference between capsizing and simple recovery and the cold becoming dangerous is only a few degrees, and running water jsut does not get warm when the atmospheric temperature is low. Well done Andy, you did great...Simon...good on you for getting there right away. Cheers fellas.
This good comment provides insight and awareness for those who do not do water adventures of what happens to the body when one gets dunked in frigid water. Andy did indeed look shocked and disoriented.
What a great adventure! Exhausting, but great! The last 2 days seemed to want to give you guys something extra to remember your trip...😂 Glad Andy didnt seriously injure himself in the capsize what with all the rocks about. And you Simon, walking and working with a sore foot...not pleasant! Look forward to another episode(or two) of Simon & Andy Adventures! Yours Truly, Ronnie, a chick in Canada
Hey Simon hope you ate doing well and that your foot is better. I've loved these videos both yours and Andys. The scenery is wonderful reminds me of my Canadian homelands. But what I've lived most of all is your friendship with Andy and how you have shared this wonderful experience together. Simply awesome adventure, thanks for sharing it with us all.
What an adventure. There needs to be some jeopardy and adversity to constitute a true adventure snd this had it all. 2 good friends pulling together. Loved it. Will take some beating. Looking forward to you doing it again with packrafts.
What an Epic adventure. Hopefully Andy hasn't been put off by his Capsizes along and lost of kit along the way. Hopefully it will not be too long before your both back out on another trip out together.
Wow Simon you guys got beat up, even though you guys had some bad luck and a rough go of it, it looked to me that you guys had a good time, your footage of that beautiful place and Occasional wild was absolutely amazing I can’t do what you guys do anymore so I have to live Vicariously through you, so thank you very much for the wonderful videos and keep them coming I can’t wait to watch more of them in the future.
Wonderful trip. And all's well that ends well. I'm surprised how much the Norwegian segment looked like northeast Canada. A number of years ago I took a kayak safety course. One thing they pointed out in trip planing. Was if you have a 5 day paddle allow 6 days. Having a weather day, or 2 half days, takes the pressure off. While cold water kayaking is unaffected by rain as you have a dry suit and divers gloves. But like you had the wind can wear you down stealing energy from future good days. As said earlier all's well that ends well. I enjoyed sharing your trip. Thank You.

Edit for PS; Although both you and Andy had your own stories to post individually it was brilliant not to trip alone. Having a partner makes for better judgments and sets an average pace. And may point out some things which your experience may take for granted but should be said for those less knowledgeable.
What a trip, never to be forgotten for sure. Thanks for making the effort to film so that we could enjoy it from the comfort of an armchair. Much appreciated! Take care Al
Isn't this a 2nd trip for the 2 of you? 1st one Andy got sick, this one he lost a jacket and got soaked. Not to mention his camera issues. So who's planning the next trip? Thank you for some great footage.
Simon and Andy... I am surprised that at your night stop you could even put up your gear. I would have thought you'd have to drag a blanket out and flop right where you landed right next to that fire. Amazing adventure and glad you made it safely through.
From the look on Andy face that water must of been bloody cold
Thank you for the wonderful series!
It got so at the end, every time I heard rushing river rapids, I felt dread. All the brutal portages are appreciated because no stress watching y'all navigate them. White water will never be the same or me. 🙂
Proper adventure congratulations to Andy and yourself. Big respect to you both and thank you for taking us all along.
On the whole, I think I’d give it a miss, but a great trip. What a generous and supportive friend you are, nice to see these days. It was a great deal of effort to take us with you, thank you.
Andy at the end, the happies face on earth!! 😂😂🎉🎉
Poor Andy he doesn’t have much luck. 👍🏻
24:04 tired Andy plodding along behind Simon like a kid after mum on a long day shopping.
What an incredible 6 transmission series Old Chaps! Thoroughly enjoyed watching you in occupied a Norway behind enemy lines! Beautiful but brutal at the same time. You chaps did it Bravo 🙌🙌🙌
" Another brutal day in paradise" 👍💪

An epic, and exhausting, journey. Well done.
What a trip! Poor Andy! It is a good thing you were with him! Goes to show just how perilous the wilderness can be. Thank you for the glimpse into my heritage. Love watching you two! xo from Canada
I like it that when you are the one less exhausted, You take on looking after your friend, gathering firewood and so on.
That appeared to be the case for most of the trip!
"Simon & Andy, exhausted & wet blokes in Norway!" Thank you for sharing your adventurous excursions! Hope both of you recovered fully.
EDIT: Considering ALL the trips back & forth during the portages, it appears you probably walked almost as far you canoed.
I think we probably did! 😂😂👍

You and Andy should be proud that you completed that journey. It looked more like SAF training than an adventure. Thanks for taking us along!
Easy days and hard. But a well-rounded adventure nonetheless. Memories to cherish. Tense moments tending Andy's mishap. Glad you were there for him.
All I can say is...WOW!!! That was more like US Army Ranger training camp....Where only the toughest, most determined win through. You guys can proudly make yourselves a badge to wear! Simon, I think this trip has just about done Andy in. I think he may think twice next time. Poor bloke. LOL.
What a great series. I really appreciate the hard work you put into these videos, Simon.

Poor Andy, scary stuff. Live to tell the tale.❤❤
15:40 - Another example of why experiencing Nature is more than just campfire cooking. Simon displayed his experience well. Be safe by being prepared.
Hindsight being 20/20, would you have picked a different route if you could? What do you wish you had brought, and what could you have left behind? What happened to your canoes? That was a hard trip for Andy ,needs to be a bit fitter I think for those trips ,but been brilliant thank you
The trip looked wonderful, the scenery was breath taking.
I bet not as breathtaking as falling into that river felt!
What an utterly spectacular adventure - thanks so much for bringing us along!
Well done. Felt so sorry for your companion getting wet. One can appreciate how the Vikings must have felt on their way to the Black Sea. I hope you enjoy it when you get home and can appreciate your achievement in comfort.

Brilliant. Beautiful sceneries.❤
Thanks for sharing the entire adventure Simon, it’s made some some fantastic viewing over the weeks. Glad Andy wasn’t too traumatised by his capsize. That water must have been cold. Poor fella had it a bit rough. First his coat then his camera equipment.
Your vloggs are fantastic Simon .. I really love the outdoors and to see it through your eyes is truly amazing .. Thank you
Hi Simon I received a notification that I had won a draw please choose someone else as I live in Canada and do not camp anymore due to health issues, that is why I enjoy watching your videos so much.
That was a scam message, not from me. Somebody is trying to gain personal info from it - I will never post comments saying you have won a competition. I hope you didn’t click on anything!
EPIC! Thank you 😊
Great effort, Simon, looks like you carried both people on that trip!
I'm not sure 'Kent Survival' is an appropriate name for Andy's channel...
Thank you mate - I’ll be back!
Awesome adventure!
My sunday afternoons are watching your videos and having a few beers I love it😊
Thanks Simon for sharing your fantastic adventures with Andy a cracking video thanks Simon 😊 👏👍
The range of skills and presence of mind in this video, from both of you, is awe-inspiring.
I just watched this video for the second time and I enjoyed just as much as the first time! The photography was amazing and the camaraderie you and Andy have with each other tops everything up.Cheere
Your irrepressible good humour is magnificent. Great job.

An outstanding series Simon, nice one and thanks for taking us along. atb
Really enjoyed your adventure with Andy, thanks for sharing your trip.
I really enjoyed this adventure, Simon. Thank you for doing such a great job in bringing it out for all to see.

But you will ;)
Thank you Simon and Andy for the beautiful adventurous hours to watch.
Uff, got sucked in more on these episodes than in any Netflix series! As always, very much effort and love in filming and catching the moment and atmosphere in it. You're very talented and calm, even if exhaustion is written all over you're faces. Great job! Great journey!
what a great trip. I enjoyed watching both versions, yours and Andie's. I'm sure you are both looking forward to a few more relaxed trips. Stay safe.
Nice trip! Is there an approximate map of the trip somewhere?
I've dumped in cold water before, and it literally takes your breath away. It is hard to describe what goes through you, we,t freezing, your brain immediately stops, you cannot breath, and the shock of the water slows you down to 1/3 speed while the world around you continues.

Cheers fellas.
This good comment provides insight and awareness for those who do not do water adventures of what happens to the body when one gets dunked in frigid water. Andy did indeed look shocked and disoriented.
Wow you two are both amazing and batshit crazy. What an adventure. Loved it ❤
What a great adventure! Exhausting, but great! The last 2 days seemed to want to give you guys something extra to remember your trip...😂
Glad Andy didnt seriously injure himself in the capsize what with all the rocks about.
And you Simon, walking and working with a sore foot...not pleasant!
Look forward to another episode(or two) of Simon & Andy Adventures!
Yours Truly,
Ronnie, a chick in Canada
Sure do hope that you’re OK I haven’t seen anything from you in two weeks. You must be very busy and I hope that you’re all OK
Poor old Andy, that was an expensive capsize, I bet he was furious bless him
He wasn’t best pleased…🫢
" at least you're dry "
" He's in, he's in "
🙈🙈😂😂
Memories to recall around a future camp fire 👍😂
You jinxed him by saying at least he's not wet lol. Poor Andy didn't have much luck this trip, but at least you both had fun and no serious injuries
Hey Simon hope you ate doing well and that your foot is better.

thanks so much for showing me sites that I will not see any other way !!!!
What an Epic adventure. Hopefully Andy hasn't been put off by his Capsizes along and lost of kit along the way. Hopefully it will not be too long before your both back out on another trip out together.
👋👋👋Simon, WoW!!!! Loved every True hearted moment of it!!!!
CONGRATS BOYS! The saying goes: "you get what you need, not what you want". These are the BEST sort of trips FOR SURE!!! Well done!!!

Phenomenal quality to the photography. The natural light has a shimmer within it that even clouds don't fully dull.
I have really enjoy this latest adventure from you and Andy mate 👍
Thanks for sharing a truly epic adventure.
Amazing episode's I loved 😍 every single one. Can't wait for your next adventure so rest up and start planning the next one 🥰
Nice videos. Long and detailed 👍
Take care

Next time in Norway, Simon. Mjøsa, Vorma, Glomma, then the salt Oslo-fjord. 😉👍🏻
Outstanding! Just outstanding ...
That was a good watch enjoyed all the episodes.
Isn't this a 2nd trip for the 2 of you? 1st one Andy got sick, this one he lost a jacket and got soaked. Not to mention his camera issues. So who's planning the next trip? Thank you for some great footage.
This meets the definition of epic trip! What a great series this has been.
Great trip to watch Simon well done but hopefully without offending Andy seems a bit of a lazy drip, did that not spoil it for you a little .
Simon and Andy... I am surprised that at your night stop you could even put up your gear. I would have thought you'd have to drag a blanket out and flop right where you landed right next to that fire. Amazing adventure and glad you made it safely through.
It was very tempting!!! 😂
