Everybody having a good time, including us. Thank you, Simon. Loved seeing all the animals, the cygnets and the martins. Beautifully filmed and stunning images at the end.
Another great and relaxing video Simon 👍. Your videos always help to cheer me up with your positive attitude. Great that you were having fun, well deserved. Thank you for taking me along, it was top notch 🙏
@@taiwaneil NHS mate, we had a waiver from the European Working Time Directive, I’m not even sure what legislation covers us now. Overall it’s not too extreme - I’ve just done a 50 hour week, you get a rest day after an on call. Must admit it’s getting harder as I zoom through my 50s.
Always enjoy your canoe trips. Dragging the boats didn't look like any fun, but at least you didn't get leeches like Bogart did when he was pulling the African Queen!
In the film Fitzcarraldo they move a steamship across the South American jungle from one river to another which echoed the original event. I actually saw the African Queen herself one year being transported by trailer to the Earls Court Boat Show. Great video once again Simon. Thank you.
its lovely round Welshpool and llandrinio ,funny that you set up camp right across from Rodneys pillar. ,walked up there a number of times ,with the quarrying it looks a lot different than how it did 15 years ago ,also you prob only set up camp maybe a mile away from a lovely little off grid camp site called the sychpwll centre
Awesome Sweet Fun Simon., I had just watched Andys of this earlier tonight yes and had learned that you had filmed it also and so now I'm on to your # 2 day and maybe that's the one Andy mentioned that he didn't film and was in his long johns Lol.. Ima go watcb now.. thx for all your hard work in each video and sharing your life.. thx.. bless you..
Good to see your back, seams a while since last video. I used to do canoe trips with a group of friends down the tributies of the River Thames, even putting our canoes in as close as we could get to the source of the Thames on one trip, Happy memory's of fun days. Thanks for reminding me as it was a more than a few years ago.
Evening Captain, damn it I want one of those coffee pots! Nice vid, things getting back to normal here, very slowly, but I’ve not forgotten about our little project.
Amazing video Simon with paddling Andy on the river Severn what a fantastic sunny day amazing scenery and 3 days camp, thanks Simon for this awesome video.
You filmed and edited a fine version of the first part of the Severn paddle! YOUR beef stew was constructed in a way I never thought of. I SAVED this one for replay because of the whole package...but also because of the scenery.
The smell of it cooking nearly knocked me flat! 🤣🤣🤣 better for me to be safe when out for 3 days on the water though! If Id have eaten the wrong thing it would have ruined the trip big time 😬😩 I stuck to my safe foods 😉👍
The Severn looks good, if a little scrapey at times. You need sweetcorn or peas with your noodles and fish. I'm sure I've said before, but you really need a canoe pole! Looking forward to part 2. Best wishes Al
So full of envy right now. This looks like such a lovely way to spend some peaceful time with friends. I have been going through some medical issues since February of this year and I've not even been on my horse since January, 2023. Between our unstable weather and my medical concerns, we've only managed to go fishing twice and neither of those two outings were fruitful. My husband is trying to keep me from getting discouraged. Such a wonderful man! I really enjoyed seeing your friends on this trip with you but when Andy comes along, it's always going to be epic! You two are fantastic together! Looking forward to the next leg of the adventure. Ya'll take care and be safe out there! 👍👍😊😊🧡🧡🙏🙏
Stay strong! I was having a fairly big operation exactly a year to the day when we set off for this trip 😬 the guys did an amazing job encouraging and helping me and rachel through this trip, and by the end we were over the moon with what we all had achieved!! 😁👍 Sounds like u have a great husband and I'm sure with u both working together u will get back to 100% soon enough. U will be out catching bucket loads of fish and riding like the wind in no time 🙏😁
@@georgeharris7513 -Thank you so much for those kind and positive words! 👍🏻😊I appreciate your encouragement! Yes, my husband is a wonderful partner. And watching wonderful videos like these gives me all kinds of ideas for fun things for us to do when I get past all this medical stuff. 😊👍🏻🙏
Really loved seeing the sheep resting in the shade by the water at 16:55. Being Australian, I have seen plenty of sheep drinking from troughs in dry country, but can't remember seeing sheep at a natural watercourse, although that does happen here :) [Once upon a time 25 years ago, I stripped off and swam naked in the Combo Waterhole between Winton and Kynuna in outback Queensland. It's the waterhole famed for being the site of the certain police incident involving an indigent traveller who may have purloined a sheep from the local grazier.]
Great video Simon! Shame Angry Andy’s Hissy Fit wasn’t shown it would of been Top viewing seeing him having a Paddy over a Leaking Boat and dry bag 🫢🫢😂😂
Another beauty, Simon. You always take some great shots of your surroundings. Love it. I must tell you, there is this weird guy at the very end of your video, talking about pasta and spam...Strange fellow but kind of cute. Be careful out there and keep 'em coming! God Bless!
Great video and makes me want to go on a canoe trip again. I love how the waterfowl and farm animals watch you like YOU'RE the entertainment. A mutually beneficial excursion....
I’ve been following you on your videos. This is right up my street me and my mates going to do this this year we both bought ourselves a canoe each and camping equipment. Thank you top man
thought for a bit you were traveling down one of our Minnesota rivers - until - I saw the sheep and swans(so not for too long of a time) always amazing how so many parts of our world look like others for beauty and terrain structure. floating, walking, dragging, shallow, deep, blocked, flowing, and peaceful - yep all the aspects of a great river trip in pastoral country. thanks, Simon. some great shots AND I love the ones of you being dragged through the downed, hanging branches (been there, done that when I missed the channel. which is usually way too many times - "duck" they yell and too late, I realize they meant my head and not the fowl) so great to see you and the others. looking forward to the next part.
Hey Simon, I loved this video! It reminded me of my canoe trips on the Eleven Point river in southern Missouri, USA, Mark Twain national forest. All protected land! What's amazing is the lack of differences half way round the world. The biggest difference; we use the word guy or dude instead of bloke🤣. Check out the Eleven Point. It's almost all spring fed and has high bluffs everywhere. I used to go out for a week and only do about the first 8 miles, because I spent a lot of time fly fishing for trout and camping. Those were some really good times. Sometimes I wouldn't see another person for days. Best times of my life! I'll be watching day two in just a minute.
Cracking video Simon, the river was making you work for it. The moonlight shot at the end simply beautiful. Only canoe 🛶 camping gets you that close to the river. 🤙🛶happy paddling.
Love the vid. I have made the undertaking to have fishy noodles for lunch every time Simon does it on a vid. It's a good job I love it because I end up having it quite a lot.
Absolutely superb footage there Simon, reading your instagram post this morning and seeing that you had a lot of problems with audio, you would not of guessed it. Everything like the river, flowed along nicely. Thanks as always for taking the time to film and edit all of that, looked like you had a blast with your fellow paddlers. As always looking forward to the next episode. Cheers.
I haven't even watched the video yet but it has the word 'canoe' it it so i'm already envious. I know you work full time but if you get the chance try the Isle of Man for a canoeing adventure. Historically fantastic and the Silverburn and Sulby rivers are stunning!
I saved this video for viewing on Father’s Day here in Houston. It’s 100F 37.7C here, but I’ve enjoyed the lovely weather in Wales vicariously through you. Thanks as always Simon for sharing the trip with us!
I'm capable of camping at moment so want thank you for taking us along. I also enjoy a Canadian channel called Lost Lakes as I born northern Ontario. 👍🇨🇦
Simon, the movie is "Fitzcarraldo" ship over a mountain in the middle of the Amazon rainforest. Just the doco about the making of movie is amazing, let alone the actual movie. At the same time they made a movie about the conquistadors going down the Amazon River looking for the city of gold, El Dorado. The movies called "Aguirre, the wrath of God" stars Klaus Kinski, totally Preqizemd.
You’re on a proper river there mate. My turf that is so if you get anywhere near Upton/Malvern then that’s home. Although notts is where I reside. Hope you had a good one.
Such a gentile, beautiful place, with gorgeous weather and perfectly shot as always. Your canoeing videos are by far my favourite videos, thank you for taking us along.
Great trip, Simon. Thanks for taking us along for the ride. Looks like a very relaxing trip, except for the shallows. Hope tge rest of the trip goes as well. God bless and stay safe buddy.
Everybody having a good time, including us. Thank you, Simon. Loved seeing all the animals, the cygnets and the martins. Beautifully filmed and stunning images at the end.
At 20:53 the film you meant was the Werner Herzog classic Fitzcarraldo.
How lovely.....sitting round a fire with mates that all have so much in common . fabulous
Another great and relaxing video Simon 👍. Your videos always help to cheer me up with your positive attitude. Great that you were having fun, well deserved. Thank you for taking me along, it was top notch 🙏
My body is 12 hours into a 20 hour night shift in my hospital. My mind is floating down the Severn. Beautiful.

The Steadynumber1: I seen the African Queen many years ago in Key Largo, Florida. Back then they were renting it out for fishing trips
Lovely video Simon, really enjoyed it, thank you

Hello Simon, nice to see you again. Hope you had fun on your adventure, I hope your channel continues to grow well. Later

Brilliant video! Loved how your boots were steaming as you were getting into bed! 🤣 SPAM! Had me creasing 🤣
😂😂 I do do not notice that until I was editing - hot feet! 😂😂

Well I can tell you that it was absolutely delicious!! 😋 unfortunately George couldn't partake in the delicious stew due to his Crohns!

Great video. Nice to see another Norfolk lad out doing what we love. 🤜🤛
Hi Simon. The movie was 'Fitzcarraldo', by Werner Herzog and starring Klaus Kinski; it took place in the Peruvian jungle.
Great video, that scene of the sheep under the trees by the river looked very pastoral. Constable would be proud.
After watching Andy’s last week certainly looking forward to this one. Thanks Simon.
Thank you , Simon .
🐺 Loupis Canis .
The Sun brings out a beautiful range of colours in your video. 👍
Your canoe videos are my favourites. The scenery is so different than when you are an infantryman.
Nice video, thanks for posting. The film where they carry a boat across the jungle: Fitzcarraldo.
That’s it! Thank you 😁

A very relaxing film. Am a long term follower of you and Andy. Well done.
Nice video, Nothing like pools, gravel bars, sweepers, and camping.
Thanks for watching? Thanks for bringing us long!
This is something I want to do with my son when he's a bit older. I live in Worcester so I'm on the Severn already
