THANK YOU for doing a comprehensive, level by level, guide. This game is very complex and it's hard to understand interactions without a deep knowledge of game mechanics and interactions. This kind of guide really helps and you put it together well. Thanks.
Going one handed allows you to use True Strike alongside your melee attack, which sometimes is very necessary to hit certain enemies in this game. You can even get the Magus Arcana that allows the usage of wands with Spell Combat and spend True Strike wand charges to get the same effect.
for melee, without blind fight, wild hunt is a lot more difficult. I always make sure to pick it up before entering the part of the game that requires you to fight a ton of them.
Yeah that was my immediate thought upon seeing this build, that Falchions would be ideal for capitalising on the Spell critical playstyle. I'm coming from Wotr though and this is my first playthrough so idk if there are many good Falchions spaced around the game, have ended up using the Trollslayer GA so far despite being specced into Falchions.
Hey, a bit of a necro. But I'm playing your build in Wrath of the Righteous and it's amazing. The damage output you give is massive. But I have to ask : if you had 20 more levels (level cap was raised to 40) what else would you do with it?
Very nice build but i generally go 6 DD - Sourcerer4 - Scaled Fist 1 - Fighter 1 (bastard sword with bonus feat cause the game has very good bastards) Rest EK. Gets more high level spells but your build is more optimised for high damage via critical spells from EK.
Hey, nice build, was looking for something like this. Loved your tank too :) One thing to point out however is that finishing the trolls off is super easy. Pretty much every arcane caster has that spammable d3 acid cantrip that's more than capable of getting the job done once your melee line beats them down, and even lacking this, Coup de Gras gibs them due to the damage taken. No need to waste a spell slot on it.
When you like the Spellcritical, you could actually go with Swordsaint -> Eldritch knight. Then you use a weapon that has a 15-20 Threat range (including feat and keen) When using intimidating Presence, you don't need cha, because strength is used instead. Afterwards you could finish the Build with, hmm ..., Kinetic Knight and go dual wielder Or you add a few levels of Paladin or Inquisitor.
This is from the game Pathfinder: Kingmaker by Owlcat Games. Now that it's gotten a lot of bug patches, it's an awesome game and pretty faithful to the PnP ruleset. Not 100%, but pretty good.
crane wing (and crane riposte) does not work with 2 handed weapons, you need a free hand. The build is ibteresting though, some good ideas. Also, shocking grasp is better but you won't have a lot of caster levels so man enemies with Magic Resist will not be affected, and your save DCs will be very low with 16 Charisma and only low level spells, i would suggest to concentrte on buffing spells, and if you want to use your damage spells maybe more conjuation types wich are not affected by MR.
Any reason to take INT 13 and WIS 11 instead of putting extra points in say CON, DEX? I didn't notice you grabbing any feat that has INT 13 as a prerequisite and 12 would give you the same amount of skill points per level, right?
concerning weapon focus I'd say stay with the scimitar. It really has high crit chances (18-20 from the beginning and I think 15-20 with improved crit). It's one-handed so you can use your touch spells and there are lots of great scimitars for Regongar (f.e. thundercrack +5 agile shock runic mageblade)
Nice video, interesting build. Definitely took some ideas from InEffect. The only problem with this hybrid style is the spells you cast has very low DC due to lack of highten and any feats/stats to increase DC of your spells. So the best spells you choose to cast instantly are not DC-based spells, but rather ray spells (hit depends on Dex modifier and BAB), buffs, debuffs (that don't require DC check) and summoning spells (especially higher level summons). Transmutation is definitely a pick there because it gives more BAB and natural armor. I would squeeze in extend metamagic to increase buff durations, probably instead of corgunon smash (it's not needed since you get dreadful carnage, first kill you make shaken all enemies around) or combat expertise (1/1 AC to AB exchange is not worth a pick imo, compare it to crane style and crane wing). So to summarize it's a good self-reliant battle sorc build that can buff most of important buffs on his own, still some buffs are missing (divine spells from cleric/inq). Good call to start from eldritch scion (+AB from charisma arcana is very handy early game) even though you're 2-handed weapon fighter. Just don't focus on doing DC spells because you simply can't reach high DC and you're chika bomb boni.
If you want to go str/int and lich you might consider going with a full caster and merging spell books. That power jump at mythic rank 3 makes the midgame a lot smoother. Also if you go lich/magus without merged spell book, you get arcane spell failure casting lich spells in armor. I hope that is fixed upon release but it is something to keep in mind.

Honestly, level cap is way too low in this game. If there were more levels, you could do this build and also reach dragon form 3 in dragon disciple and become a true dragonknight. Maybe Divinity Ego Draconis (AKA The Dragon Knight Saga) spoiled me, but to me a dragonknight that can’t turn into a dragon isn’t a dragonknight.
