- ⭐ Rotator Cuff Muscle Anatomy ⭐
💪 Supraspinatus 💪
🦴 Origin: Supraspinous fossa of scapula
🦴 Insertion: Greater tubercle of the humerus (superior aspect)
🦴 Action: Abduction of arm & stabilisation of the humerus in glenohumeral joint
🦴 Innervation: Suprascapular nerve (C5, C6)
🦴 Blood supply: Suprascapular artery
💪 Infraspinatus 💪
🦴 Origin: Infraspinous fossa
🦴 Insertion: Greater tubercle of the humerus (posterior aspect)
🦴 Action: External rotation of the arm & stabilisation of the humerus in glenohumeral joint
🦴 Innervation: Suprascapular nerve (C5, C6)
🦴 Blood supply: Suprascapular and circumflex scapular arteries
💪 Teres minor 💪
🦴 Origin: Posterior surface of the lateral border of the scapula
🦴 Insertion: Greater tubercle of the humerus (inferior aspect)
🦴 Action: Lateral rotation of the humerus, stabilisation of the humerus in glenohumeral joint & can very weakly assist in shoulder adduction
🦴 Innervation: Axillary nerve (C5, C6)
🦴 Blood supply: Subscapular artery, circumflex scapular artery & posterior circumflex humeral artery
💪 Subscapularis 💪
🦴 Origin: Subscapular fossa
🦴 Insertion: Lesser tubercle of humerus
🦴 Action: Internal rotation of the shoulder, stabilisation of glenohumeral joint & can very weakly assist in shoulder adduction
🦴 Innervation: Upper and lower branches of the subscapular neve (C5, C6, C7)
🦴 Blood supply: Subscapular artery

These are the most detailed (and interesting as far as visuals go) that I have come across. Clear, simple, and thourough.
Thank you! Appreciate it
Just entering my second year of a Sorts Therapy undergrad, and your videos are going to help a ton with getting my anatomy up to scratch! There's a ton of resources out there and it can be a bit overwhelming - choosing which approach, which mode of learning, etc. - but your approach seems to fit exactly with how I learn best.
Thank you 🙏
Thank you, that is great to hear they are helping with the course. Learning anatomy can be a lot of work, but it's well worth it. You may also find the flashcards on my website useful for memorizing the info about each muscle too: bodyworksprime.com/muscle-flashcards/
Good atuff
Thankyou!
Welcome!
as I am doing biokinetics it helps a lot in understanding and makes my school work a lot more easier
Awesome, glad to hear my videos have been helpful. Best of luck with the studies.

You are welcome! Thanks for watching.
Love your videos! I’ve watched so many and they’ve all be helpful. One possible suggestion to consider for the future is to change the background color of your videos to something that contrasts more with the skeleton. Anyway, thanks again! Much appreciated.
Thank you! Glad they have been helpful. Do you mean the background on the part where I show the images? Or the last part when I am in person showing the actions?
