The V10 has mil-spec certification for transport durability and was specifically made to withstand abuse. I purchased it for this reason for work. It is very strong and leaves little to worry about.
JerryRigEverything And these little interactions make me love your channel that much more. And of course the fact you actually took my (and I assumes other peoples) advise on the isesamo thing.
Thanks for doing this one. I've actually been waiting on it. I went from the 6P to the V10, and the V10 is absolutely the most solid feeling phone I've ever held. The steel bars on the side makes it feel very strong and durable. As you know, this isn't a popular opinion, but even more before your 6P bend test, when I held the 6P in my hands it felt like cheap aluminum. Now, I still think the 6P is a great phone, but people keep denying that Huawei skimped on the materials and while it uses metal, I still wouldn't call it a premium build.
I still have mine, it isn't my daily driver. It fell out of my pocket, 10 feet off a loading dock and landed face down on gravel. The glass shattered but the digitizer and screen itself still works fine. I use that phone now as a drone viewfinder.
you know It maskes me just go Ahhh! when I see you do these tests to these sweet! Devices!! but someone has to do it for the consumer, who wants a Device that's great in Call Quality! and Durability. All the Other goodies we love! come after that. Awesome Work my friend. Happy New Year's!! Peace
Hi Jerry. Great, non biased durability tests. It would be quite illuminating for all the owners of ZTE axon pro out there if you could put your, weaknesses revealing, hands on that device. Keep up the good work.
This phone responds to military standards, if i remember well. The bend test it's not a surprise, those steel bars give it a good insurance about bending. I got this phone 2 weeks ago and it's very well built, it's the first phone I'm not afraid to use without a cover (even if i bought one, you never know)
The reason he doesnt add one is so the phone does not really break. He wants to make a "How to repair" video on the phones that survive the bend test, although i would like to see it too.
bite12344 okay yeah that makes sense. It would get prohibitively expensive. Although he can do a drop test of the phones that survive and for which he has finished making the repair videos. Although once he hits a million subs he should start doing it regardless!!
+Jose Vigo , the v10 became my daily driver after my 6 yr old dropped my Note 3 and the screen spidered. Between the durability and LG's promo, I chose the v10 as its successor. I hope that +JerryRigEverything will do some screen drop tests for the v10 since that is my biggest worry.
+Bendji D Its actually easier than you think. Its just a customize-able after effects template. Costs anywhere from 7 to 30 bucks. I just add my name to it.
the LG v10 would be in my top 5 for sure can't believe how rigid it is the stainless steel is boss meanwhile I'll enjoy my Nexus 5x some people may call me a LG junky but LG has earned the respect it has earned
Best phone! Still using mine. I've even got four extra batteries and four battery chargers and the 200GB microSD card. The only thing I want it to be able to do that it can't handle is playing UA-cam at 2x speed at 1440p.
***** Yea NO lol. The camera, speed, and "overall performance" (which IS speed) is factually better. The v10 was my favourite of 2015, but the market ages so damn quickly that it's no surprise.
The hardware is crappy, LG offers no optimization and all of the V10s will bootloop sooner or later, with mine happened and also to a lot of people that I know owned one, just wait for your turn.
I've had this phone and treat it like shit. I have punched the scree very hard and hit it with many objects and has never shattered. The phone earned my respect that I just started to take care of it. Past phones couldn't handle my rage bursts
Nice, I've been waiting for this, but you didn't test the black metal ring around the camera, some users says, that it gets easily scratched/damaged. Nevertheless, thanks for the test!
Thanks for the video and I am impressed with the durability of this phone and if it was stock android I think it would fly off the shelves. It has better specs than the Nexus 6p yet in the UK I can buy it for less, so along with it being much better built for longevity than the 6p it is very tempting, even with the bloatware that is its skin. Keep up the good work as it is helpful that people are aware that the BB PRIV at its expensive price point has a plastic rear camera added to a poor front camera, a very poor value for money device that us buyers can now avoid. Cheers.
This is the phone I'd love to own, so Zack if you even have any broken ones that I can repair please hurl one to the land down under, I'd be ever grateful :-)
I would like to say HELLO to bending same-all-same iphone users :) For $599, V10 has one and only unique design, removable back, sd card, 64gb memory, 4GB RAM. It's freaking fast and durable
Great video as usual, maybe you could throw in a quick real world drop test at end after conducting your other series of tests. Techrax tests are just to extreme and are not realistic at all.
I have been using the LG V10 now for 2 weeks. I must I love it, Thanks for the video. Please share this with LG to add some level of water resistance to the never version of LG V10 which I am assuming will be the V30.
Could you do a test on the headphone jack? See how well it stands up to the cord being yanked out at a bad angle or if it even works. I've had this problem before and it would be a cool test to see.
Hey Jerry can you do a cold test? I'm live in Minnesota and our winters are pretty cold so sometimes when I'm outside with my iPhone 6 in my pocket it will shut off because it gets so cold. I think a cold test would be great addition to your tests and would give a buyer of a phone some useful information
Thanks for the video test. Very interesting. A phone I wish I could afford to get my hands upon here in Oz. Sadly LG Australia refuse to import it. Grey imports only.
my lgv10 was garbage the first 14 days i was already experiencing fast discharges and a really hot screen. i water damaged it after a few month (my fault yes) but i was sent another, this happened twice, and i had the same issues. i was glad to finally get a new phone a year later. everywhere i looked ppl were happy and satisfied with the v10 but mine was always bad.
+ImRedBlueGreen Someone suggested the directly after I uploaded the video. So I tried it. (Since I still have the phone) and it is indeed the same display and reacts in the same way as the main screen.
buen video excelente test con estas pruebas ya lo tengo mas que claro este v10 tiene que ser mio jejeje este es otro video que me encanto y con el tuyo Jerry me confirmo el comprarlo saludos desde Chile
i have a v10, but the screen isn't too great. my father had dropped it on his vape, leaving a circle crack, and i had dropped it on the UNA campus, leaving inconsistent cracks with deeper grooves. 😬
Perhaps including a drop test for each new phone could be interesting. That's something people do accidentally, and it's nice to know what the damage might be before buying the phone.
Finally, someone does a useful endurance test on a phone. THank for the content. Subbed.
+SK Sherlock Thanks! I'm glad you like my stuff.
i agree and use my v10 to watch the video ✌
+JerryRigEverything old do a test for Samsung galaxy a8 or mate s
Gabriel Eder I mean...If you boil coke regularly it might be a good thing to have.... xD
SK Sherlock iiiii

Everyone scoffed at me for wanting this phone. This is a very well-crafted phone. I am honored to finally get one
Who would scoff at you? This phone is pretty much the internet darling right now.
Yea up until it bootloops like mine
Well I dropped mine and the glass cracked on the inside as well as the fingerprint scanner not working now.
***** TMobile
its a great phone
It's already 2019, I'm still using LG V10!
You make the best phone durability tests hands down.
Thank you . A very successful test
sa :DD
The world owes you for providing us with these extensive tests.
Thanks a ton for keeping a vigil on manufacturers.
had a note 3 for years now...upgraded to this. hot damn.....what a phone
How much is the phone?
i got it for 499€ (germany) in white.
you can get it for around $470 on Amazon US
or for around £450 from Amazon UK
hope this helps
+Alexander Dubberke Thanks for the info :)
I have a note 4 so I don't think it's that big of an upgrade but Im definitely interested on the V20
yeah hot damn literally.. it heats up so much its the reason of it bootlooping
You released this on my birthday this year! 🙂
Happy Birthday!!

Man looking back at this phone... it was a beast for it's time.
You are one of the only people I share on facebook or twitter after watching a video I like. You deserve more views and subs.
+x9x9x9x9x9 Hey thanks! I really appreciate it!
JerryRigEverything And these little interactions make me love your channel that much more. And of course the fact you actually took my (and I assumes other peoples) advise on the isesamo thing.
x9x9x9x9x9 Interactions are what make UA-cam a great place!
This was such a great phone, I hope the V20 has a similar design with that stainless steel frame
Michael Tafur Nope it is stainless steel on the v10
Thanks for doing this one. I've actually been waiting on it. I went from the 6P to the V10, and the V10 is absolutely the most solid feeling phone I've ever held. The steel bars on the side makes it feel very strong and durable.

yes indeed
Best phone review i have ever seen on UA-cam

Here after watching mkbhd's iPhone 14 review where he talked about lg V10 having dynamic island , BOY WE'VE COME A LONG WAY !
you know It maskes me just go Ahhh! when I see you do these tests to these sweet! Devices!! but someone has to do it for the consumer, who wants a Device that's great in Call Quality!
and Durability. All the Other goodies we love! come after that. Awesome Work my friend. Happy New Year's!! Peace
Always glad to watch your vids!
this's the most realistic test of durabilty which's shown on a product.
good recommend for the best gadget should have
I know this is old but jerry is so funny with the sarcasm😂👌🏻 high quality as my razor cuts through it omg

jerry your voice is cool and relaxing in videos sometimes i watch your videos just for that :))
+nima sa Heck ya! Thank you!
You should add a drop test to the durability testing
**Spoiler** the phone screen breaks!
The reason he doesnt add one is so the phone does not really break. He wants to make a "How to repair" video on the phones that survive the bend test, although i would like to see it too.

Prateek Jain
Agree!
Prateek Jain the phone survived
lg v10 is very tough phone
Radhul it's tougher than Donald trumps hairspray
RDK S6 is way stronger.
i have been searching for durability test like this.. great reviews! here my likes and subs!!! i will be looking forward to your coming videos!!! 👍👍👍
Such a calming voice
Thank you and I'm glad you finally made this video. LG V10 is my daily driver and a good buy, great video.
+Jose Vigo I agree! Thanks for watching!

New intro every month? I smell wealth.
+Bendji D Its actually easier than you think. Its just a customize-able after effects template. Costs anywhere from 7 to 30 bucks. I just add my name to it.
Watching this on my lg v10 in 2020 during lockdown.
LG v30 improved on this so much
the LG v10 would be in my top 5 for sure
can't believe how rigid it is
the stainless steel is boss
meanwhile I'll enjoy my Nexus 5x
some people may call me a LG junky but LG has earned the respect it has earned
Feels horrible to see the torture of the phone like that but at the same time good to see what it can go thru. :D
i like the LG's smart phone because i like the upper and lower screen border is so thin that i can hold in hand so comfortable
Best phone! Still using mine. I've even got four extra batteries and four battery chargers and the 200GB microSD card. The only thing I want it to be able to do that it can't handle is playing UA-cam at 2x speed at 1440p.
i got lg v10 yesterday and it is best phone Ive ever had
It's the best phone the world has ever had.
+TheBuggerbutt08 Not anymore, the htc 10 and galaxy s7e are out
***** Yea NO lol. The camera, speed, and "overall performance" (which IS speed) is factually better. The v10 was my favourite of 2015, but the market ages so damn quickly that it's no surprise.
***** k.
bro i have g4 and i wanna ask u how is the battery on the v10 cuz i wanna go for it if its good ?
Normally I hate watching these vids as they seem an enormous waste, but yours are actually really useful
+J.A.A Thank you. And thanks for watching.
+JerryRigEverything no problem
I love the v10..the build is amazing
A drop test would be great.. there are only a couple of drop tests on the web for now.
A scientific fair test is what we wait for.
Keep it going👍
i have one of these, high quality throughout, rooted mine and have latest twrp, excellent hardware.
The hardware is crappy, LG offers no optimization and all of the V10s will bootloop sooner or later, with mine happened and also to a lot of people that I know owned one, just wait for your turn.
I have been waiting for this since the v10 came out!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😂😁😁😁😁😂😁
I had one of these last year I wish I wouldn't have lost it 😔
I've had this phone and treat it like shit. I have punched the scree very hard and hit it with many objects and has never shattered. The phone earned my respect that I just started to take care of it. Past phones couldn't handle my rage bursts
You are the best 'Phone Tester' nice video.
Awesome! Looks like a very solid phone!
Man i love all of your video... Very entertaining..
Watching this on my LG V10. ❤
So, the funny thing is that i'm watching this video on that phone so, yeah. Thank you for this. XD
Nice, I've been waiting for this, but you didn't test the black metal ring around the camera, some users says, that it gets easily scratched/damaged. Nevertheless, thanks for the test!
you have expensive hobby. 👍👍👍
hey
another test that you add would be to check how easy it is to break the charging connector. like plugging it in and pressing it up and down
Thanks for the video and I am impressed with the durability of this phone and if it was stock android I think it would fly off the shelves. I enjoyed the torture testing!
the pixels on the S6 edge plus can not withstand the fire test, it left whites streaks on the phone which is very noticeable on and off.
i love my v10 i have been using more than my galaxy s7 edge.
Would be great if u include a drop test in your videos. By the way ur videos are awesome !!
Dynamic Island
just ordered this thank you for this video bro
This is the phone I'd love to own, so Zack if you even have any broken ones that I can repair please hurl one to the land down under, I'd be ever grateful :-)

+TheBuggerbutt08 doesnt the L series go like that.
Can't wait to see how this bad boy looks on the inside
Could you do a test on the headphone jack? See how well it stands up to the cord being yanked out at a bad angle or if it even works. I've had this problem before and it would be a cool test to see.

+Austin L Good idea. Ill see if I can do that.
A very Nice phone and he have a good specs, not a 810 but a 808 , very good test
man u should add a water test how deep let can go before shutting off and drop test for the screen
Thanks for the video test. Very interesting. A phone I wish I could afford to get my hands upon here in Oz. Sadly LG Australia refuse to import it. Grey imports only.
You should do an Asus Zenfone 2 laser durability test! There are NONE on youtube!
I owned this for 2 weeks. if you ever go outside the phone gets so warm it lags like crazy.the design is awesome, hardware, not so much.
This phone is a tank!
my new phone 😍
I miss this phone
my lgv10 was garbage
the first 14 days i was already experiencing fast discharges and a really hot screen. i water damaged it after a few month (my fault yes) but i was sent another, this happened twice, and i had the same issues. i was glad to finally get a new phone a year later. everywhere i looked ppl were happy and satisfied with the v10 but mine was always bad.
You should have burnt the mini display at the top to see if its exactly the same as the main display.
+ImRedBlueGreen Someone suggested the directly after I uploaded the video. So I tried it. (Since I still have the phone) and it is indeed the same display and reacts in the same way as the main screen.
JerryRigEverything Good to know! Thanks for the reply.
JerryRigEverything What about fingerprint sensor?
yea, ever since the iPhone 6 came out we have to do bend tests now lol
One of the reasons I'm hesitate to get the V10 is the front plastic bezels get scratched very easily.
Another great video, thank you!
Normally you scratch test the finger print scanner, but did not on this phone. How does it fair out?
this beast of a phone!
buen video excelente test con estas pruebas ya lo tengo mas que claro este v10 tiene que ser mio jejeje este es otro video que me encanto y con el tuyo Jerry me confirmo el comprarlo saludos desde Chile
keep doing good work
best phone..powerful body..nice job LG
The first notch lol
forgot to scratch test the fingerprint sensor. just to know if it's made of platic or glass. also after scratches if its still works.
please do such a test of Xperia Z5 premium too . we are waiting
Doing a look back as I get ready to purchase the LG V30, very disappointing to see big companies went back to using aluminum! SMH
A drop test would be great
Hey there Jerry, could u please do a test on the Samsung A5 2017?
S. A. his name's zack
S. A. he doesn't like testing budget phones
Watching this on my V10, cringing so hard. Best phone I've ever owned.
has it boot looped yet?
i am thinking about getting one
Why not imagine the screen of the device during bending in order to see what the extent of the screen carrying fingers
Hey jerry we need durability test on Samsung sport gear eagerly awaited
i like how he tries to hide the screen lcd getting bent by small force
Add a video for Samsung galaxy A8 not the 2016 one but the previous Samaung A8 . I want a video about its bend and scratch test ......
i have a v10, but the screen isn't too great. my father had dropped it on his vape, leaving a circle crack, and i had dropped it on the UNA campus, leaving inconsistent cracks with deeper grooves. 😬
how does it handle water? would like a splash/submersion test.
Perhaps including a drop test for each new phone could be interesting. That's something people do accidentally, and it's nice to know what the damage might be before buying the phone.
Who here likes the "jelly" overswipe animation on the homescreen
you the best
