Do you prefer the narrow zigzag over a lightenbolt stitch and if so why. New to sewing knits and have a sweater knit I want to use this pattern for. Suggestions ?
@@Cambrilsbirds it's a great question. For vertical seams, you don't often need much stretch, so I use a narrow zigzag. For horizontal seams, they need to stretch across you, especially a neckband, so I'll use a lightning bolt stitch. For this pattern, however, since the neckband is a bit loose fitting, I stuck with the former stitch. Hope this helps. 🤗

I have a question: i already did 3 of the jackets you did, but, i bought a pattern that was a good price, (impossible not to get it. Right!?😊), but i would like to know if you have that pattern, or the tutorial that maybe i didn't see, it is SIMPLICITY 8218. Another question, and, sorry about that: can you recommend me a glue for fabric that you used before, and you like?, and maybe you can make a short video about it?, i have a faux leather pants, but i need to make them a little short, and sewing it is already a big issue with my machine, so i think the next thing to do is use glue on the hem. Any idea or solution from you is always well received and appreciated.🤗

For leather/vinyl, you gotta try Wonder Tape - double sided wash away hem tape that does not gum up your needle!

(Tomorrow i will be sewing the McCall's 8144, i bought the pattern PDF from the company, and already put it together, so tomorrow i can try it, because i went to JOANN and bought a sweater fabric on sale, but i didn't have any clue what to do with it, i just liked the color, and the price, without having a plan.🤣🤣. My husband asked me today If i already figured out what to do with the fabric i bought, and i said: almost....almost.😂, He is very happy for me, because he sees how much i am enjoying every project, and trying, and asking him what do you think?, how is it?, etc. ❤️.
