I've been sewing for 25 years, mostly patterns I made myself. This 20 minute video explained what it took me over 15 years to figure out. Thank you so much!
Are you kidding me? I’ve been sewing for 20 years, and watching UA-cam for 10, and a guy in a cowboy hat just brought breakthrough-clarity into my sewing life? 😂😂
This is genuinely one of if not the most informative videos on patternmaking I have ever watched. Thank you very much, Cornelius, you're an amazing teacher.
Dear Cornelius, I'm an enthousiast grandma from the Caribbean, who wanted to sew a traditional country outfit for my 3 year old grand daughter! Due to Cultural Heritage week. I searched the internet for help, but nothing could help me with my queries! That is, until I came across your site!!!! Thank you so sooo much for making this video!!! I'm now a great fan of yours! Only wish I could give you a "Thousand Likes" you deserve it!!!! And yes, ofcourse I subscribed!❤
I’m a beginner sewist and I’ve watched quite a few videos on sleeve drafting but yours is the first one that actually helped me understand the theory behind it. You’re a wonderful teacher, Cornelius. I hope you offer a class on bodice drafting and darts.
I have been sewing for 56 years. I have been contracted to sew a costume. I thought I had the sleeves figured out boy was I wrong. Never too old to learn new techniques. So excite!
I LOVE that you explain why and how different curves impact the product. The colour changes to distinguish differences is excellent. Going from cylinder and step by step to sleeve is awesome!
I'm a beginner in sewing, literally started a month ago, and you're making it so much easier for me to learn !! u explain why it's cutted that way and tell the science behind it, thank you so much, please continue !
I love you Cornelius Hat Man. You added around 20 years to my lifespan with this video, saving me from all the would've-been hours stressing out over how sleeve patterns work.
Thankyou so much cornelius im a complete beginner at sewing and this video really helped simplify what seemed like a complex and intimidating concept to learn ,your an excellent teacher!
Color me happy. I’ve been sewing clothes for more than a lot of years and you’ve just revolutionized how I look at a pattern and adjust to make it my own - there is a method to the madness!
I’ve been going back and watching ur how to make a shirt video like 50+ times since it came out just to see you teach how to make the sleeves. Fantastic video.
I've really been struggling with both sleeves and armscye design, so this is exactly what I need, and exactly when I need it! I'll be coming back to this video for quite a while! The slow pacing is really great!
I've understood (roughly) how sleeve and armhole patterns work seperately for a long time, however I struggled to find information on how to put them together, and to draft a sleeve pattern that would fit into the armhole pattern. Thank you for explaining it so clearly, and for taking your time with the explainations. I feel like I understand how they work together now!
You just explained drafting a sleeve in a way even I could understand. I have ADHD and require visual and auditory learning plus a slow pace of speaking to learn. You are the best! Where have you been all my life? Oops. I’m 67. You haven’t been around very long, so I forgive you and thank you for your skills! Can’t wait to watch more.
Sir! A soon as you cut that angle and got that curve i was shook. I'm a beginner and definitely don't know how to draft yet but you made this look easy. Thank-you!
Thank you. I think I'll need to watch this a few times. I'm very grateful for this analytical geometric explanation. I've sewn for many years but never knew this😊
Your videos are absolutely second to none. I’ve learnt in 20 minutes what I’ve been trying to figure out for the past 6 months. Your explanations and demonstrations are brilliant
I. Am. Absolutely. Floored. 😮 What an extraordinary video. I am completely spellbound by the clarity of this explanation. 40 years of sewing and this video blew me away. This video is GOLD!!
I came back to this video to say thank you! I love making my own patterns, usually based on existing clothing or other patterns, but I’ve always been nervous about adjusting sleeves. This video completely demystified it, especially the part with the paper cone. The other day I was able to draw up a quick sleeve pattern using what I learned here and it turned out just right. I really appreciate the depth of info here. Thanks!
I watch a lot of sew videos on UA-cam. UA-cam has taught me how to sew. The men always keep it simple, straight to the point easy to follow along and understand…and no extra drama for the camera. Thank you 🙏🏽
I found this video in my feed today 8/29 after wondering for the last week or two about drafting sleeves of different styles and why the cap is shaped like it is and how you can know it will fit the armhole if you change either one for fit or style. When you showed the tube then cut it then unfolded it to reveal the classic shape of a sleeve, it was an “aha!” moment. I have questions on modifying sleeves for various styles like puffed or full (at the bottom), etc, or how to modify armhole for fit and style then changing the sleeve to fit it. I don’t draw well so I want to use something made then tweak for styles and fit. Thank you for making this- now I need to watch more of your videos!
I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Thanks for watching. Hopefully you're able to use this knowledge to really make whatever your heart desires. Happy sewing.
note that reason why the t-shirt sleeve is so comfortable while the armhole is cut so low is because the fabric is strechy. If you want more comfort in the arm on a less giving fabric, you'll want the armscye to be cut higher to allow for a full range of movement (an armscye cut lower will create friction and tension when rising the arm) and the sleeve can (and probably should) be left a bit larger than the armhole having the top eased into the correct length, the sleeve will then encapsulate the begining of the shoulder giving enough ease to rise the arms comfortable but not so much it becomes a puffed sleeve (it's also a great way to have a knitted jacket look more like a blazer because it's how tailored pieces are generally cut : make the head of the sleevehead a bit wider than normal, ease it into the armscye when sewing it in)
Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience in the comments here with myself and others. I appreciate you elaborating as I get to learn more myself in the comments here.
This is why dolman sleeves look like they will be comfortable, but actually require you to keep your arms pinned to your side. Any arm movement upwards moves the entire garment up, off the body, causing bystanders to woner if you are about to disrobe!
Excellent explanation! I purchased your scissors and clipper it was a c game changer. It came with one of your curses for free. It was worth every penny. You are a wonderful teacher.❤
Great video! I’ve recently started sewing and I have been confused about how people draft patterns/decide how to make the different shapes, and I loved all the visuals and how you described it so simply! I feel like there aren’t a lot of videos that describe the theory behind sewing in such a straightforward way, so this was awesome 🎉🎉
I love the classes, 🌽! I learn so much from them! It's nice to understand the reason behind why we draft the patterns the way we do. It makes so much sense now!
You are an amazing teacher! Thanks for sharing and explaining your knowledge so well! I'm finally understanding sleeves and armholes and can start to make really fitted clothes. Thank you!
I've been selling for nearly 10 years, and have always been terrifie of sleeves. I can't tell you how many tutorials ive watched, this was by far the most helpful, so simply put and easy to fallow. I've been bingwatching your channel! this will be my first stop whenever i next need help with something ❤🙏🏼
Thanks for explaining sleeves so well. I mostly crochet and want to crochet sweaters for my friends and family. But I find many crochet patterns rely on the basic balloon sleeve, ending with a ribbing at the cuff. I, myself, do not care for that and I know if I make a sweater like that for my brother he won't wear it, either. It's fine for a cardigan, maybe. But with a pull-over, it should taper more and fit the shoulder properly. There are several techniques (raglan and fair isle, for instance) that attempt to address this, but I would simply like to make a traditional, tapered sleeve. As I am in the process of making one (from the bottom up) this information will come in handy. Thank you! I just happened to find your channel and this video on my home page (or how ever UA-cam terms the first page you see when you login), probably because I had done a search for 'crochet sweater sleeves.' The "sleeves" part must have stuck. Algorithms, go figure. But I can see it's a great channel for the finer points of sewing clothing and I'll keep it in mind. Thanks!
Oh nice. Well I hope the sweaters turn out exactly as you hope. Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself. It's great to get to hear about the folks watching my content. Happy crocheting. You are kind, thank you :)
I can FINALLY visualize why a sleeve looks like that! Thank you omg that was the best visual I’ve ever gotten to explain anything in patternmaking tbh lol
I just discovered you, Thank you so much Cornelius ! Self taught I always struggled with modelling sleeves for decades. This is the best course !!! Looking forward to make it into practice. Have a wonderful day
Yes, I've been sewing for 50 years (yikes!😨) mostly bought patterns. I wish I knew these things before, I would have been more adventurous in my sewing. Thank you for taking the time to teach this information ☺
Thank you, Cornelius, for your fantastic tutorial. I draft all my own patterns, however, you have managed to demystify the process of drafting sleeves. Usually the instructions in pattern books are rather limited 😊
I have been sewing for years and always had trouble even understanding the sleeve shape and have had no luck in attaching them. This video is exactly what I’ve been needing to see! 😃 this was very helpful thank you for sharing!!
Super excited to put this into practice. Making my first linen short sleeve button-up using your tutorials and help! Looking forward to putting this all to work. Thanks Cornelius!
ive been sewing for 7 years and managed to avoid learning how to make sleeves by only doing drop sleeves (rectangles!) and today I decided it was time to stop hiding and learn. thank you for the informative video!
i love to crochet. However I saw a video of yours on insta, came over here and now i am looking for sewing classes. you are the reason i have got a new hobby/art/craft etc. thanks a million. for the beautiful, and simplified way of explaining something that seemed like Greek to me before. .
Oh wonderful, thanks for venturing over here to check out my other videos. I'm working on building out a whole library of courses as we speak :) Happy sewing!
I've been learning how to draft sewing patterns (self-taught thanks to UA-cam) the past 2 years. When I was watching the part where you draft the sleeve, it looked like you used the measurements from the armhole front and back with no seam allowance included and when you drew out your sleeve cap that became the cutting line and you marked a seam line inside of those measurements. That may be why my sleeve caps have been coming out a bit too big requiring adjustments every time. As presented, I use the armhole measurements to create my sleeve, but once I draw in the curve from the desired cap height, I add the seam allowance on after I get the correct lengths and desired ease to more closely match the armhole (depending on how fitted it may be). I also got some other helpful pointers, but this one really jumped out at me. Thank you for a very helpful tutorial and wishing you continued success.
It was such a great explanation! The pacing was perfect, it was calming (and reassuring for a beginner like me) and I feel like I never understood a sleeve better! Thank you so so much for your work!!
I cannot express how much this video has taught me about making 2d patterns of 3d shapes, it's changed my perspective completely and made my task so so so much easier and enjoyable. I UNDERSTAND SLEEVES MA!
I have watched SO. MANY. VIDEOS. trying to figure out how sleeves work. I learned more here than in all the other videos together. When you first showed the cylinder at the beginning of the video it was like a light went on. Thank you so very much you are a great teacher. Definitely subscribing!
I've just been learning to sew this year and this was soooo helpful! This was my first time watching your channel and I'm hooked! I love the way you explain things. Now I'll be binging your videos 😁
SIR, YOU ARE A GENIUS!!!!! I have been running from sleeves for as long as I've been sewing and finally decided to research tutorials and am in awe having stumbled across your platform. Massive S/O! I have subscribed and will continue to follow. I have never come across a more dynamic presentation, not even while attending fashion university. You are definitely CURTISC. APPROVED!!!!!
Last year I struggled searching for a vedio explaning how I draft a pattern for an arm sleeve. And so I gave up the whole sewing thing. I came back to it now and I'm super glad that your video was the first that came up. This vedio is a total gem and I'm pretty sure you've explain for us what could be normally learned through out a whole decade of experience. Thank you sir and hopefully I'll make this right this time. ✨
Hi Cornelius, love your content as always! I drafted a prototype shirt according to your other tutorials and it was a lot of fun! I do have some questions though. At 14:53 in this video you measure the straight line as the same measurement of the armhole - is that the length along the curve, including the seam allowance? And are the new lines that are drawn for the version of the pattern with seam allowances at 17:04 inside or outside of the original lines drawn? As an aside; I also attempted drafting a shirt according to the "tailored shirt" block on roughly page 233 of the Aldrich book. For the sleeves a lot of the measurements are based around fractions of the "arm scye measurement" - do you happen to know if this measurement refers to the circumference of the scye ? With or without seam allowances? I hope I am not being too demanding - I am just really keen to make this work and get it right. Cheers and greetings from Toronto
The length of those straight lines is the length of the stitch lines on each pattern piece. The goal wit those straight lines is to just get us in the ballpark of the right length. It isn't 100% precise. The second set of lines are drawn inside the first batch of lines that I drew. As I recall reading in the book, seam allowances are included . Happy Sewing.
you video is PRICELESS - thank you = amazing been sewing for 15 years but never understood this as you have explained - you have found your gifting !!!!!
Thank you for clear and patient description of sleeves and armholes. I avoid making garments and sew costumes and crafts mainly. This may be a game changer for me to move into making garments to fit my anatomy.
This is exactly what i needed to go forward with many sewing projects that I have started and gotten discouraged in finishing. Thank you SO MUCH!!💖🙏💐❤️❤️
I have been scouring the library and internet for explanations on the S-curve sleeves and nothing, not a single book nor blog has been as clear about its 3-dimensional purpose or why it differs so greatly from the sleeve opening as your video. I think the visual aids did wonders in helping me understand the purpose of that shape, so thank you so so much! This video was super helpful, you are a life saver 👌
I'm relatively new to sewing, and I've watched videos (mostly shorts) about drafting and cutting sleeves, I've always found the shape bizarre and couldn't quite fathom the logic of the shape, but you've explained it perfectly. I haven't seen any of your other videos, but if this one is anything to go by, you're a great teacher. When i switch from sewing quilts to clothes, i won't have any problems with sleeves. Thanks a bunch❤
Oh my goodness (or my immediate reaction - "bloody hell!") - this is brilliant, thank you! You have made this so easy and simple to understand! I can't wait to try this (I've been procrastinating on cutting out a pattern I made from an existing comfy shirt, because I never seem to get it right - particularly the armholes and then the sleeves. I'm going to watch this again and make notes + practice with paper - knowing I'm not just procrastinating, but actually setting myself up for success 🎉 THANK YOU 🎉
Back to sewing for a year now after a couple of decades, and so glad I found this video on sleeves because my garments can be more consistent now. Thank you!
I have learning disability, I seem to not be able to understand anything in the classroom or even from the books but, the way you explain this, you answered all the questions that I have been afraid to ask in the classroom. I really thank and appreciate you Sir🙏🏼
Oooh my god. All of my life on social media i find this course. I fellow a lots but i can’t gate what i want. But you are the real person. I got my dream. Thank you 🙏
Thank You so much Mr. Cornelius. I do some minor sewing and this has been the Best Explanation for putting sleeves to arm hole and achieving a Perfect Arm hole together. You've just made my life a lot easier sewing armholes and sleeves. ❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏👏👏💯💯💯
Phantastisch, herzlichen Dank! Endlich erklärt mal jemand das Prinzip. Nur so kann ich es sofort verstehen, nicht wenn man mir nicht nachvollziehbare Berechnungformeln an den Kopf wirft.
Cornelius, you are doing lot of home work to make a person to understand even small things in detail, the way I liked very much and I can definitely say that your contributions are the best to follow even for a beginner like me in seventies.!thanks a lot and All the best. God bless
This is a year old, but I wished YT would have served it to me a day ago. I spent a good chunk of today sewing sleeves on to their armholes. I think twice on one and three times on the other? I ended up watching several videos after the first attempt, to come to understand what you explained here fairly simply -_- Next sleeved project should theoretically be much smoother 🙃
Dear UA-cam algorithm, thank you kindly for recommending this video, because for first time in my life I completely and irrevocably understood how a two dimensional fabric can fit a three dimensional body. As a token of my appreciation, I have liked the video and subscribed to the channel. God bless.
Where were you omg finally i found a great teacher that explains everything ive wondered about. i had many teachers cause ialways dislike them and change because they always hide important information T-T THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US YOUR KNOWLEDGE
What a terrific explanation on a difficult subject! I'm not very experienced at sewing (yet), but this helped me understand the difficulties I have with wanting to change armholes and sleeves. And you present it in such a fun way. Thank you so much!
dear Cornelius, I've stumbled upon your channel a little while back and honestly it's making sewing and pattern drafting so clear to me the way you explain really connects just perfectly with how my brain works and it's making me feel like I'll be able to actually do these things that have felt like magic to me for the longest time. I've dabbled in costuming and fabric arts for a long time now but never actually looked into the theory behind it because I felt intimidated by it all, but your videos are clear and precise and I'm sure my projects are going to be a good deal more polished from now on out! thanks so much!!!
I've been sewing for 25 years, mostly patterns I made myself. This 20 minute video explained what it took me over 15 years to figure out. Thank you so much!
I'm humbled, I'm glad you got something out of my content. Thanks for watching.
Thank you so much!
Wow u made your own pattern? 👍
You are a great teacher
Thank you

This is genuinely one of if not the most informative videos on patternmaking I have ever watched. Thank you very much, Cornelius, you're an amazing teacher.

IDK why but sleeves intimidate me. I’m over thinking it. Thank you!
Sure are. You've got this!

You are a FANTASTIC teacher! I took a pattern drafting courses but never fully understood the "why" of what we did. You explained it so well.
I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Thanks for watching.
Really good teacher. Understanding how pieces interact changes the whole approach to pattern making.
Thank you for the kind words. I'm glad you appreciate my content. Happy Sewing.

Your tutorial on drafting and setting in a basic sleeve is one of the best I've seen. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
I'm glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching!

Thank you, I'm glad you got something out of this video. Thanks for watching.

So should the curve on the sleeve be shallow or is that not necessary if the armscye is high.

I'm glad to hear it.
I just discovered you, Thank you so much Cornelius ! Self taught I always struggled with modelling sleeves for decades. This is the best course !!! Looking forward to make it into practice. Have a wonderful day
Oh wonderful, I'm glad to hear that it was of use! May your future sleeves be as you hope!
Yes, I've been sewing for 50 years (yikes!😨) mostly bought patterns. I wish I knew these things before, I would have been more adventurous in my sewing. Thank you for taking the time to teach this information ☺
Thanks for watching and happy sewing. you got this.
Thank you, Cornelius, for your fantastic tutorial. I draft all my own patterns, however, you have managed to demystify the process of drafting sleeves. Usually the instructions in pattern books are rather limited 😊
Thank you, I'm glad you got something out of my content. Thanks for watching.
I just couldn't understand a sleeve and arm hole. Your video is visual, easy lessons. I value your teaching. The best on UA-cam. Thank you God bless
I'm glad to hear it.
Dang. You're good.
Nancy Zieman is looking down from heaven smiling at us all!
Bye for now!✨🌟💫💫⭐💫🌟✨
Indeed she is :)
I have been sewing for years and always had trouble even understanding the sleeve shape and have had no luck in attaching them. This video is exactly what I’ve been needing to see! 😃 this was very helpful thank you for sharing!!
Oh wonderful, I'm glad to hear it.
Super excited to put this into practice. Making my first linen short sleeve button-up using your tutorials and help! Looking forward to putting this all to work. Thanks Cornelius!
Oh nice, I'm glad to hear it. I hope your linen shirt turns out as you hope! Happy sewing.
ive been sewing for 7 years and managed to avoid learning how to make sleeves by only doing drop sleeves (rectangles!) and today I decided it was time to stop hiding and learn. thank you for the informative video!
Good on you for taking the jump and learning more!
1:05 a minute in the video and already amazed, literally dropped my phone and clapped for you
🤠🙏🏻
i love to crochet.
Best explanation ever! Thank you.
🤠🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing how you do it. The more knowledge and experiences that are shared, the better.
It was such a great explanation! The pacing was perfect, it was calming (and reassuring for a beginner like me) and I feel like I never understood a sleeve better! Thank you so so much for your work!!
oh wonderful, I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Happy sewing.
This is the best video ever made to explain sleeves ! You are a talented teacher ! Thank you !
You are kind, thank you.
Wow Cornelius, your videos just get better and better. I love learning the theory side of patterns design. I’d like to see more like this. Thank you.

Thk you Cornelius 😘👍You are truly a great teacher.💖🙏
You are kind, thank you :)
I have watched SO. MANY. VIDEOS. trying to figure out how sleeves work. I learned more here than in all the other videos together. When you first showed the cylinder at the beginning of the video it was like a light went on. Thank you so very much you are a great teacher. Definitely subscribing!
Oh wonderful, I am glad to hear that it was of use to you and may you master sleeves to the point where they are second nature :)
I've just been learning to sew this year and this was soooo helpful! This was my first time watching your channel and I'm hooked! I love the way you explain things. Now I'll be binging your videos 😁
Oh my, I'm glad to hear it! Thanks for watching and happy sewing. You've got this!

Wow, first 70 seconds, straight to the point, bang. I love you man, I'm in tears watching this, well done.
I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Thanks for watching.
Prof. Corn, very well explained. Masterclass!
I'm glad to hear it!
Good on you for giving it another go. May you make plenty more things now.

Thank you Cornelius! I appreciate you appearing in the comments section so- so-much and I'm sure others here do too.
🙏🏻
you video is PRICELESS - thank you = amazing been sewing for 15 years but never understood this as you have explained - you have found your gifting !!!!!
oh wonderful, I'm happy my approach works for you! Happy Sewing.
Thank you for clear and patient description of sleeves and armholes. I avoid making garments and sew costumes and crafts mainly. This may be a game changer for me to move into making garments to fit my anatomy.
I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Thanks for watching.
This is exactly what i needed to go forward with many sewing projects that I have started and gotten discouraged in finishing. Thank you SO MUCH!!💖🙏💐❤️❤️
You got this!
This video was super helpful, you are a life saver 👌
oh wonderful, I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Thanks for watching.
This is one of the best sewing tutorials I have ever seen! Thank you!
I feel like the sleeves are the hardest part of the pattern.
I'm glad to hear it. You got this!
I'm still learning the craft and I must say this is a very detailed video on how to make sleeves, it will certainly help my need for sleeves...
I'm glad to hear it. Happy sewing.
Thanks!
Your generosity is greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Thank you you make it so simple. Sleeves has always been troublesome for me. Much appreciated.
You're welcome, I'm glad my video helped.
I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Thanks for watching.
@@CorneliusQuiring ❤️

I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Thanks for watching.
I'm going to watch this again and make notes + practice with paper - knowing I'm not just procrastinating, but actually setting myself up for success 🎉 THANK YOU 🎉
I'm glad to hear it. Happy sewing.
Back to sewing for a year now after a couple of decades, and so glad I found this video on sleeves because my garments can be more consistent now. Thank you!
I'm glad to hear it. May you make plenty more now.
I have learning disability, I seem to not be able to understand anything in the classroom or even from the books but, the way you explain this, you answered all the questions that I have been afraid to ask in the classroom.
I really thank and appreciate you Sir🙏🏼
Oh wonderful, I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Thanks for watching and happy sewing.
Oooh my god. All of my life on social media i find this course. I fellow a lots but i can’t gate what i want. But you are the real person. I got my dream. Thank you 🙏
Oh wonderful, I'm happy to hear it! Happy sewing.
I'm glad to hear it. Happy sewing.
Phantastisch, herzlichen Dank!
You always look so dapper Cornelius and you're a very likable guy. I learn so much from your channel and this video is no different. Thanks so much!!!
A compliment of the highest order! Thank you and thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
Cornelius, you are doing lot of home work to make a person to understand even small things in detail, the way I liked very much and I can definitely say that your contributions are the best to follow even for a beginner like me in seventies.!thanks a lot and All the best. God bless
thank you and happy sewing.
This is a year old, but I wished YT would have served it to me a day ago.
I spent a good chunk of today sewing sleeves on to their armholes. I think twice on one and three times on the other? I ended up watching several videos after the first attempt, to come to understand what you explained here fairly simply -_-
Next sleeved project should theoretically be much smoother 🙃
Learning is rarely ever easy, but may future sleeves be a bit easier.
Dear UA-cam algorithm, thank you kindly for recommending this video, because for first time in my life I completely and irrevocably understood how a two dimensional fabric can fit a three dimensional body. As a token of my appreciation, I have liked the video and subscribed to the channel. God bless.
Indeed, all praise the almighty algorithm :) Thanks for watching. 🙏🏻
You are my favorite teacher on UA-cam. Can't thank you enough!
Oh wonderful, thank you.
Where were you omg finally i found a great teacher that explains everything ive wondered about. i had many teachers cause ialways dislike them and change because they always hide important information T-T THANK YOU FOR SHARING WITH US YOUR KNOWLEDGE
oh wonderful. I am glad to hear that my videos are of use to you. Thanks for watching.
Thank you for this. I'm a tough sell, but within the 1st 5 min, your logical explanation made a subscriber out of me! Thank you.
oh wonderful, I'm glad to hear it :)
As a beginner, i needed this badly. Thank you so much, Sir!
What a terrific explanation on a difficult subject! I'm not very experienced at sewing (yet), but this helped me understand the difficulties I have with wanting to change armholes and sleeves. And you present it in such a fun way. Thank you so much!
oh wonderful, I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you. Thanks for watching. May you make plenty more things.
dear Cornelius, I've stumbled upon your channel a little while back and honestly it's making sewing and pattern drafting so clear to me
the way you explain really connects just perfectly with how my brain works and it's making me feel like I'll be able to actually do these things that have felt like magic to me for the longest time.
I've dabbled in costuming and fabric arts for a long time now but never actually looked into the theory behind it because I felt intimidated by it all, but your videos are clear and precise and I'm sure my projects are going to be a good deal more polished from now on out! thanks so much!!!
That's awesome, I'm glad to hear it. I hope you make plenty of amazing garments!
For the first time someone explained the armhole curve in detail.. Thanks 🙏
I am glad to hear that my video was of use to you.
