I always sew onto a small piece of scrap fabric and sew off onto knit fabric, eorks very well

Thank you for this! For the first time ever I burned my pressing cloth and the cotton fabric on my ironing board. There’s a burn hole now. Do you have any recommendations on the best way to fix it? It’s an ironing board cover that I made. I was thinking I could just sew a patch over the burn with the same fabric and matching cotton thread. If there’s an easier alternative I’d greatly appreciate it! There’s even scorch marks on it. 😖 it makes me so sad because I worked my butt off to make it. I will definitely use this method to clean my iron before I use it again! ❤

Great video! Thanks for sewing this with a sewing machine and not a serger. Did I see this correctly, that you sewed the zig zag completely on the elastic, but when you folded it over you had the zig zag hit off one stitch on the elastic and one off? Hope that makes sense.

I don't know when I'll need this info, as I don't sew. But I might, someday, find this applicable.

What a great tip! When I first got my machine, a needle fell in. I never found it. Luckily, it didn’t cause any issues.
