i believe the wood display thing holds a bottle of tequila and two shot glasses. Ive seen similar designs in mexico. Im pretty sure its made to look like a cactus
Everything I loved I can’t believe the thrift stores in antique stores in Oregon. We don’t have Goodwill like that in New Jersey at least not in South Jersey. I think there’s one that I know of I’ve Thrifted all my life but for myself I love you to do this together and I’m so happy I found your channel. I love it.❤
Hands down! Laura is the Best Goodwill,Thrift Store/ Specialty Shops Picker out there! Her passion for what she does comes through in all of her videos which I never miss! When you love what you do for a living it shows! Love Jessie too!
Let me just say, I don't know how you have the energy to create the massive amount of content you create. It's so impressive and I love watching your videos because you are so knowledgeable. X
@@leftcoastrevivals I’m addicted to watching your channel. As a life long thrifter, I’ve alway collected. Mid century stuff. Recently acquired a mid century home. Oh it’s been fun dragging out my collections. Due to health issues I don’t get out much now. But I have your thrift hauls to enjoy. Thank you ❤️ Oh and the lamp is probably mid ‘50’s risqué like Marylyn. Not truck flaps. Those girls usually have long flowing hair. 😂
I'm from Canada and I'm so glad I stumbled upon your videos ❤!! You are so knowledgeable and so much fun to watch with Jesse !! Please don't stop!! Maybe one day I can come travel with you guys!!!
ohhhh i wish i'd have known that was you here! thank you so much for the great video of my shoppe Wood & Rose❤ my pricing is negotiable next time you're pickin! i'm not going to be able to keep the flea vibe outside so MAJOR downsizing and sales to come by first week of october. please come back 😁
Laura that large wooden “bin” is a large mortar. We use like that size in the Philippines or some country. We used that by standing while holding the pestle and chop squashed the food. It is so nice that one you found so cool that it has even a cover.
That lidded wooden "wastebasket" would be perfect to hold all of Jesse's rubber bands, and the handle on top is perfect for launching them across the room 🤣
I can't believe you found a fish platter expert husband who collects rubber bands and dislikes the disco era😂😂😂! Definitely the score of the century! 😊
The ash trays that look like a chain are for all of the "chain smokers" out there! My favorite item was the large pottery bowl with the fishes on it. Always a treat to watch your channel.
The bird salt and pepper shakers are fabulous. The large piece of pottery with fish is gorgeous! The lamp is beautiful the way you restored it. A class act. I cant believe you find so many treasures at your Goodwills. That is not the case where i live. I love watching the two of you shop. It so much fun.
My sister found one in Michigan last time we went together. She is tiny and it was a size small. I tend to shop the larger sizes, for me and for resale, so she just smirked when I kinda’ complained. Sisters, sisters. 🎶
I love that you see style in objects even if they are new. If it is made well and is aesthetically pleasing you gravitate towards it and it makes me happy!!! The mix of old, new and artisan is fantastic! ❤
I've always said that there is nothing wrong with selling newer used items for good money because many times where are you going to find another one? New or old doesn't matter, it's all about quality and esthetic value.
Wow! Laura, you have some incredible Bitossi-dar! That one is so different from anything I've ever seen. I never would have even thought it was a Bitossi.
You did a great job with the ladies lamp… The way you style it with the art picture of a male looking at them it’s just perfect! loved that vibe you created… it tells a story! You have great taste and great eye!!
Laura your videos are so professional. I love watching you and Jessie thrifting together. I love the lamp . It looks so clasic chic with the beautiful make over you gave it.
Perfect makeover on the ladies lamp!!! On the wood piece where you're thinking of mounting something on it....the sky is the limit! Let your imagination run with it! Plus, as you want, you change whatever you choose to display on it. OR you could do a light sanding on the piece to try to get rid of the faded portion & let it stand alone as a beautiful piece of wood. I really enjoy your videos so very much! I am kind of new to thrifting, but I truly enjoy it! What a rush when you find those special pieces! My husband is starting to catch on to my thrifting & is joining me sometimes on my adventures. Our local Goodwill is very hit or miss, but I keep showing up hoping. My perseverance pays off from time to time. Oh how I'd LOVE to go on a trip with you & Jesse & all your fellow thrift loving cohorts!
I just recently came across your channel. I absolutely love it! I have learnt so much from you. I live in British Columbia, Canada There are so many private non-profit thrift stores here find with a lot of antiques and cool artwork, and a ton of unique pottery. I just want to thank you for all the hard work that you put into your channel, I will definitely will be telling my friends to subscribe to your channel.
Fantastic finds Laura. My husband indulges me in Charity shops and antique stores and goes ahead to see if he can find things first. I am teaching him slowly. I am in Hampshire England and I have found some great finds. I only have one Botossi dish my mother in law gave me, I treasure it. Love the salt and pepper shakers and the fish dish. Keep the vlogs coming love them.
Fountains & water noise (ambient noise) 😊❤ 2:18 that’s super cute & it can be styled with so many different colors. 17:49 there’s a house we drive by that has one of those vintage ladies leg lamps in the window with a shade that has long tassels 😊
you are the only thrifting chanel I watch..i love the team and your smiling face...i also love your taste...watching all the past vlog too...keep safe...love from Philippines❤️
Regarding the chain dishes (or ashtrays)....depending on size one could possibly use them to hold nuts, mints, olives, etc. It'd look super cool on a table all attached with small food items in each dish. A super cool find!
The wolf hand Jesse was wearing casually in the post and when you noticed it was priceless. My favorite find was the wooden wastebasket and the vintage clothing. Can't wait to see your video of the pop-up you are going to do.
I use a spinning organizer for my crafting tools...paint brushes, compass, paint pens, small tools. It's easy to move around and I stay organized. Just sayin'. Happy shopping. Your lady lamp turned out great! Always so impressed with your final reveal!
Love the Mothman Prophecies. I lived in the area of the Silver Bridge collapse when I was a child. There is even a Mothman festival every year there. And the town has a great metal sculpture of the Mothman!
That wasn't a yin, nor a yang, that you put back on the shelf. It was a boteh, a teardrop-shaped motif with a curved upper end of ancient Persian origin. The designs, known as paisley, became popular in the West in the 18th and 19th centuries. The English name for the pattern comes from the town of Paisley, in the west of Scotland, a centre for textiles where paisley designs were reproduced using jacquard looms. It was popular for a moment in the '80s, and I, myself, have been known to have had at least one paisley outfit. And then there's Prince, the artist, and his many Paisleys too numerous to mention. 💜💜💜
Laura you always find the coolest stuff i love how you educate us on what you find now every time I go into a Goodwill I’m trying to look at things the way you do you just never know what you’ll find. Thanks for a fabulous video.
I inherited my great grandmother's spoon collection. Where it more than double as I became a military spouse. Now I'm obsessed with anything spoons. 😆 Life is short, lick the 🥄
Love that you found bitosi - also agree with Will love the wood trash can. I was amazed today - found a set of 2 everyday double handle cast iron Le creuset pans - the set was only $19,99. I think GW priced them based on the cast iron and missed that they were Le Creuset.
Awesome Bitossi find!! 13:38 An easy fix. Just reglue it and countersink the screw and then cover it with wood filler and color to match. Looks Victorian to me, but nothing I have particularly seen before. That shade on the trucker lamp makes it really look nice, surprisingly.
I like that wooden wastebasket thingy, the chain ashtrays, the bird salt/pepper shakers from the little vintage store, and the Johnny Was blouse! I'd say the lady lamp is more the trucker type but I like it because of that! Great conversation piece!
Wonderful day of thrifting for a great couple 😊. I have to say my favorite two items are the vintage looking dress and of course the rubber bands. Thanks for sharing.
I love watching your videos! I applaud your well trained eye and ability to decorate. The lamp, with that shade definitely looks art decorate, but the mud flaps 😂.
❌. The wooden bowl (that needs some love) is a really nice piece of spalted wood. It comes from a large gnarly growth on the side of a tree. The marbled pattern in the wood is actually caused by a virus. However, spalted wood is highly prized, and the bowl is well worth any effort you might put into it. Thanks for the video!
Chain smoker ashtrays!!
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂 love it
No kidding; that’s what I thought too! 😅

The best part of watching you shop with Jesse is your interaction. You are such a special couple. Treasure that.

Laura dear , it's such a pleasure to watch your videos .thank you
Johnny Was At Goodwill, Bitossi at Goodwill? Are you kidding me???🤩🤩🤩
I find lots of Johnny Was east coast stores
My sister found one in Michigan last time we went together. She is tiny and it was a size small. I tend to shop the larger sizes, for me and for resale, so she just smirked when I kinda’ complained. Sisters, sisters. 🎶
I've found Armani, I found an unused Brahmin bag. It's pretty remarkable what slips through. Designer sunglasses, all kinds of stuff.
I do like the Bitossi bowl, but the clothes were a great find! You are so good at what you do!😊
Mi hallazgo favorito fue la banda de goma...y fueron dos!!!!! Wow, eso sí que es tener buena suerte🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
The trash can is my favorite. I also loved the birds salt and pepper shakers. They're super cute. The lamp? = mudflaps to me!!!
Glad to see Jesse again. Great team
Wonderful things! Jesse loved that oak candleholder because it had TWO elastics!🤣❤️
That’s what I thought!
That was the first thing I thought! Two rubber bands...score!
The two blue glass cylinders reminds me of a slow plant watering device.

I totally had that lady lamp in my cart but couldn’t figure out it was cool or not! I’m so glad you grabbed it and jazzed it up 🎉
Man you have amazing Goodwill stores there. Where I am in the Midwest all we have is broken stuff made of plastic and Shein clothes. I'm so jealous!

Those shelves we saw right at the start of the video are just like some my Dad made in the 50s. Loved them!
Disco rocks! That’s the only music that motivates me to clean 😂
The log piece would make a unique wine chiller filled with ice
Bought my first two vintage bowls. One is an iridescent Fenton carnival glass. About to clean and post.
Your husband's glove was super funny 😂😂😂
Laura, you are so sharp! Such a great memory of the Bitossi museum! But Jesse's hand - a close race for find of the day, lol!
I feel like Jesse picked up that wood candle holder for the rubber bands.
Definitely Mud Flap vibes. Lol. My favs are the fishbone pot and the 70s floral top. Good pickings!
