In SC1 you would get separate supply counter for each race you control. That meant 400 supply.

in sc1 that is
it would mean potentially 600 supply in 3+ player matches with all races represented. my friend and i would intentionally play free-for-all 6-player maps with bad ais, tech up to dark archon, mind control workers of the ai zerg and terran, and then go all race vs each other. because of the tech headstart protoss had it would still mostly be pvp but still fun.
No that meant 600 max get matches with all three races
Did they take this out, I was doing this in the Wings of Liberty days?
The really impressive thing to me is that Scarlett was actively distracting the enemy while grabbing that probe. When we first watched it through, I thought it was odd that her army was just sort of bouncing from base to base, not really accomplishing much. But when we watched it from the perspective of it only being a distraction while she grabbed that probe, it changed that whole situation.
Did i already watch lowko's cast of this match when it first came out? yes. Am i going to watch it again just for winters casting? also yes.

Was it super lucky to just have a random probe wander into her base? Yes. Was it *incredibly* insightful to leverage that into having a surprise Recall?! HELL YES!
The vast majority of players in the vast majority of games would've just killed it and not thought twice. Instead Scarlett decided that today was the day to get her Harstem on.
´It was not as lucky to catch that probe as it seems. If you watch lowko's cast it is clear the probe was part of sacrifice to increase army supply.

if you can get an opponents worker then you can get some low investment BS going XD.
SC1 protoss have some glaring holes (i feel SC1 and 2 underpower protoss a lot because its like they are setup for endgame style but they don't have the power to back it up)

Winter a few times Kungfubanda sent a bunch of probes to Scarletts side i think his bases didnt need that many probes. instead of using apm to kill them sent them to the enemy haha
At one point he had like 90 probes. I was just surprised he didn't start tossing them into spine crawlers sooner.

about 10 years ago, I had a unique Protoss head-fake rush strategy that single-handedly got me up into Diamond... with an APM of about 45.

One of my favourite units in Brood War was the Dark Archon. Mind control an SCV and a drone, give you a three-forces army.
It's been a while since I've played, but what I liked of SC&BW, was that all the single player units were available in multiplayer. It really sucked to find out the MP units were limited by Blizzard.
Wild game, Cant imagine playing for 40 minutes constantly on edge.
Scarletts strategy was used in the first Starcraft. Dark Templar Stealing Drones and MCVs all day. 🤣 Nice to see it come back. 👍
I love that march the queen strat from Scarlett. It only misses the ability to transfuse and infest the Protoss base with creep. Which wouldn’t be hard to do (with a pro players APM, mind you) just an overlord saved on a pervert pillar for example to seed that first creep tumor.
There were already Oracles out though, to give high ground vision for Stalkers to kill the Overlord on the pervert pillar. So that's not as easy as it sounds.
I can remember 38 years ago like it was yesterday.
When a caster doesn't realize how something happened, it makes me understand better how a pro player can't (re: probe getting turned)

How does one deal with vipers yoinking the mothership? I see this happen a lot in PvZ and don’t know what someone would do to prevent this.
I am gonna be honest I fully believed in scarlet doing this against someone like showtime. Dark is someone I can see doing it against anyone.
I have no idea what just happened as I don’t play SC, not too sure how I got here, but apparently it was impressive. There was a whole lot going on.

Ps…one of the most fun matches I’ve seen. This could be Scarlet version 1.0. Think about her mastering that probe strategy.

Why zergs dont do creep higways for queens no more?
I'm no professional StarCraft player but 0 workers with no resources left frees up army potential vs 25% of your potential army supply taken up by probes essentially doing nothing stifling your fire power. Ironically he had previously tried to sacrifice probes to free up supply which ended up giving the ability to use recall.
SC1 Dark Archon can grab a SC2 probe and that would be awesome, get some Mother Ships to combo with arbiters and the nexus recall? daaayum. Blip reavers all over the map.
The AuNTship would be a nice alternative to the Mother's hip replacement, Winter should be a game designer or at least an expansion designer! MindGraft designer extraordinaire.

Nothing all that special - did that back in Starcraft I in one of the story campaigns and it totally works. Zerg with just a bit of Protoss is a great mix.
