I couldn't find the fifth hit but I see now. The leap itself is an assault. In training room you have to stand in front of the training log. When you jump back, jump towards it the log for the first hit. 1. Jumping to it. (secret, hard) 2. The landing slash. 3. The rising slash 4. The falling bash. 5. Landing bash.
hey man, how do you feel about using the +affinity augment instead of the +attack augment, since the first affinity augment is +10%, its a bigger dps increase right?
although this build doesnt lack dmg, you dont have a way to get white sharpness when trying to solo tempered kirin or reg kirin D: Is it possible for you to show a build where you can get white sharpness while still doing close enough dmg?
The shield isn't very dependent on sharpness. That's why this one works so well. Soloing kirin with sns, I'd say go for a decent fire element build. Or cheese the kirin by riding it and spamming shield slam into it's head (not sure how people do that- but it's possible). I'm not a huge sns user so I'd recommend asking someone who is, I'm sorry
thats maybe so but once you get the mind's eye jewel (fencing) you will never bounce from any monster so u can replace one of the critical boost jewel for mind's eye
Isnt nergigante helm and teostra gloves better than eyepatch and vaal gloves or at least a better combo or does peak performance outperform maximum might because you still get weakness exploit with teostra gloves?
@@skykyes5225 Um no, much omega gear is still good besides the Drachen. I've been really wanting to use sword and shield. But I keep hearing that its not very powerful. I main a chargeblade. What do you think about sword and shields?
I have one build with dragon element that against the pole in the training area, does about as much dps as this build. it doesn't require 2 attack jewels, but it does require one tenderizer and atleast 2 critical boost jewels. the build that I have is: xeno maruba (tenderiser and crit boost jewel) vaal helm alpha vaal mail alpha teostra gloves alpha kulve taroth's malice beta ( crit boost jewel) lunastra greaves beta (crit boost jewel) handicraft charm with this you get a bunch of extra dragon attack, weakness exploit 3 and critboost 3. I don't have the final critboost jewel though, but the damage is still nearly the same as this build. you also get some points in recovery speed and health up, and you have enough slots to complete those. the main drawback compared to this set however is that you only get one augment slot, and you need to fight monsters that are weak to dragon, but that's the entire endgame anyway.
Really like your build. I'm looking to try SnS from Hammer. Why did you get the Barroth Club? Is sharpness an issue? I see that you get to green sharpness. I know the shield bash doesn't take sharpness but your initial slashes all take sharpness right? I have zero critical boost jewels, what do I change in your second build then?
Hi I have modified your second build a little as I have three peak performance jewels. Do you think this is ok? Here is my set below. Also what do you think of Nergigante Hunger. Do you think I can replace the recovery charm with a more attack boosting charm like the agitator charm? Will I still have similar survivability because of the nergi set bonus? Barroth Club III with Non-Elementless Boost Jewel Dragonking Eyepatch with Weakness Exploit Jewel Dober Mail Beta with Peak Performance Jewel Nergigante Vambraces Alpha Nergigante Coil Beta with Peak Performance Jewel Nergigante Graves Beta with Peak Performance Jewel Recovery Charm III With this I have Attack Boost 6, Recovery Up 3, Weakness Exploit 3, Peak Performance 3, Agitator 2, Maximum Might 1, Non-elemental Boost 1 and Nergigante Hunger.
The nergigante set bonus doesn't give as much of a bonus in health recovery as with recovery+ and weapon augment, so I wouldn't advice going without at least the weapon augment. But it could definitely make a good dent in a lot of monsters. Don't think it will hit as high as a build with crit boost, but it's still very much a threat. GJ man!
Thanks for replying! I tested it out and realised that Nerg Hunger isn't good enough to maintain peak performance so I got health regen. I am so surprised how it hits really hard. I just need to learn how to consecutively chain the shield dive on monsters and in particular their weakspots. I find monsters that move erratically really difficult. I'm using the same set I mentioned but now I followed your advice and got the health regen and the attack augment. I might go for affinity as the last augment, I'm not sure. Also using the Sns for team play, I find that I can easily get at least 1 mount regardless of the terrain. This leads to much faster kill times. I did tempered Vaal, we hit the teeth twice, I mounted him once and we bombed him as he went to sleep. Sns is just so fun and thanks to you I'm playing it after my main Hammer. But a hammerbro for life ofc.
You know this might sound wierd but... im starting to get pissed for getting critical gems. Literally i have got like 16 by now and i barely have any atk jewels or expert
Not sure actually. But if you find one with high raw damage, no elemental and decent slots it should suffice. The reason this works so well is because the shield slam isn't affected by elemental dmg, so increasing it with non-elemental makes perfect sense
I have a build similar to this, and I use Master Bang, works very well, and has a level 3 slot in it that I use for my elementless gem (I know its only a level 2 gem, but all my other slots are level 1)
@@TOCCLtoo pain in the arse getting the gems the melder guy is being a scrooge .can you remember who you got the sword gem of also for the weapon augment,
I don't know what a sword gem is, but I got all the rare gems from rank 30 and rank 50 missions. Just grinded all I had out of those and got lucky eventually. The weapon augment came from rank 50 missions.
If only the swords looked more cool and the shields were not just a buckler with duct taped monster fur, same goes for hunting horns, they look so bad.
ufff thanks dude, this build is great, attack for heal.... gives you great survivability and damage at the same time.
It's OP : p

5. Landing bash.
My decorations are full of Palico Rally. I could even build a castle with it
Lol
Likewise. Almost as many pailco rally as everything else combined
damn... I only have 1 attack, 1 critical jewel during 400hr playtime. this build is what I will never be able to make...
New updates on jewel drops from tomorrow though, better luck from there :)
What was that update? Cause I still only have one after near 300 hours of gameplay
Exactly the same
174 hrs of MHW PC, no attack jewel except from the main quest and 3 crit jewel lol. damn, i really need artillery and magazine
This build needs to be updated for the luna set makes wide range so much easier to achieve
Please keep up this videos also you think 🤔 is worth grinding for bow guns ?
Grind for whatever you find intriguing man. I've had a lot of fun with HBGs and LBGs
hey man, how do you feel about using the +affinity augment instead of the +attack augment, since the first affinity augment is +10%, its a bigger dps increase right?
It's legit. I just went with attack because I already have 100% crit with booster. And by the time the booster's down nergigante should be down too

Almost all builds become obsolete now that we have Drachen armor set anyway. You can mix and match to your liking.

They're on my top 5 list.
Check out my Nergigante Speedrun video with sword and shield to see its potential. It's quite powerful really

this is probably a stupid question but how do you activate nergigante hunger with only 2 nergigante equipment, coil and greaves?
Weapon augment- regen : )
wait i just noticed that its nergigante hunger is grey-ed out for you though. how do you lifesteal then?
Again. Weapon augment- health regen

How you get health recovery (nergigante hunger) by just having one piece of it ?
Health Regen Augment on the weapon x2
TO CCL thanks I thought Its the health regeneration from nergigante set
If I have that, that's a part of it as well. But as you might know it's not incredible by itself
What was the jewel you would use in place if don’t have enough attack jewel?
I said so in the video. Recovery jewel : p

Start making them into other jewels through the melder, you might get lucky ^^
I've had bad luck at a lot of gems myself
