    The Can Am has a different clutch then stock and more aggressive tires then the Arctic Cat which was stock. If you're going to compared the two, to you should make them equal before you hate on one.

      plus riders, A/C guy was not nearly as aggressive

      29.5 Outlaws are far superior to 30" Silverbacks, which are more like 28's. Silverbacks are garbage compared to them.

    i had a can am outty and yeah they eat up mud for breakfast, sadly, I moved to colorado where the visco lok sucks for trails =( I am now thinking of getting a polaris or artic cat for the trails here.
    I would definitely say can am for mud, but they suck for technical stuff as I experienced it when I moved here

    LOL, they are a good machine, I rode with a 700MP on Nos today...it ripped, stay tuned for the vids!!!

  • @ostacruiser

    A simple slip on won't help much at all, if you install a full exhaust system with new header pipes and get it tuned you will gain as much as 9-11 hp. If you throw on an aftermarket clutch you will notice a big difference also

    The artic cat is a lot heavier than the can am. Artic cats have more pulling power.

      You sure about that comment? i did some looking up and on weights of these machines and a 570 XMR weighs more then a 700 MP, i think its about 843lbs for a 570 and a 700 MP is 800lbs when you get in to the 1000's like the outlanders seems like they weigh more then arctic cats. I i mean i checked in to the weights but at the end of the day its all power to weight ratio anyways right, the way the bike is geared and clutching and what not ect.....

    @ostacruiser  13 років тому

    @Bamabrute85 I agree on the horsepower, but not on the tires. I would give the edge to the 29.5" Outlaws on the MP not the 30" Silverbacks on the Rene in this type of mud

  • @ostacruiser

    The renegade is running 30" Silverbacks and the MP is running 29.5" Outlaws

  • @ostacruiser

    @Ktharbour6 LOL, the Renegade is the exact same chasis as the Outlander which is also a utility quad, don't let the plastics fool you into thinking the Renegade is a Sport Quad. But it does have alot more power then the 700MP

  • @ruffypoo
    @ruffypoo 11 років тому +1

    Well the Renegade made the first pass and dug it up pretty good. The renegade is 687 dry and Thundercat is 716 dry weight. Also the rider on the Renegade knows how to ride! The Arctic Cat guy not so much. If we rode with the AC guy we would have to call him lumpy for being a slow action wheeler hero lol. What I am getting at is its not a power issue or what is the better machine but more of who did the best riding.

  • @yamran
    @yamran 14 років тому

    I am a CAT owner and went with the Thundercat 1000...70lbs lighter and WAY more Torque!...(faster too)
    I have the HMF Swamp XL Series exhaust and Speedwerx Clutch Kit as well as 28" Mud Lites
    Stock top speed was 140km/hr but the tires and clutch kit knocked er down to around 120km/hr
    Got my WARN 3,000lb winch and Kimpex 60" Plow ordered too as WINTER is just around the corner!!!

    for everyone sayin that the renegade had batter tires, wrong, 29.5 outlaws are and have always been the best outlaw tire ever made, they wil hold their own but in my opinion it came down to the renegade has alott more power and the silverbacks found the bottom faster since they dig faster than the outlaws, all in all good vid man thumbs up

  • @ostacruiser
    @ostacruiser  13 років тому

    @luneytunega1 Yup the cat is a bit heavier, I believe the Outlaws do better in this kinda mud

  • @ostacruiser
    @ostacruiser  13 років тому

    @rmm1086 you copuld go with 27" Outlaws they are a great tire, we all run 29.5"s but you will need spring spacers to run them so they don'y hit your headlights, I have not broken an axle in 1700 miles running them....knock on wood...lol

  • @rmm1086
    @rmm1086 13 років тому

    @ostacruiser what size Outlaw would you recommend? I have an Outty 800 Max. Don't want to worry about my axel's breaking, but want the best tire for the mud. I ride a lot in the everglades in South Florida. Love your channel by the way dude!!! Can Am all the way!!

  • @itsme78932

    @Str8Ugly
    LOL thats pretty funny. I dont care who you are, there is a large difference in power between the little AC 700 and the Rotax 800. The rotax has enough power to turn those big 30" sbacks quick enough to clear them out and paddle through. As you can tell, the AC barely had enough power to turn the 29.5s, and at the end you can clearly see his belt smoking.

  • @itsme78932
    @itsme78932 14 років тому +1

    @radioactiveload
    The engine size has everything to do with it. The renegade has a ton more power, spins those big tires easier and faster, as you can tell in this vid. Spin faster, the faster the tires clear out and the faster they paddle through the mud. As you can see towards the end, the AC's tires are barely turrning.

  • @markfaulken
    @markfaulken 14 років тому

    there are so many different ways to look at this.. yes 700 vs 800 but mudpro has 4.0s low end torque where gade has 3.6s (more wheel speed)
    AC is gonna go through more bc of low end torque and GC (all equal mods/tires)
    can am is gonna get there quicker if it can make it through (not saying it cant but these are tow totally different bikes)

    Please someone help me understand this in a serious way because I can't figure this out! Just about every video I watch either the Polaris or can ams are kicking the snot out of every king quad, grizzly, brute force you name it when it comes to strictly mudding. Why is that? I would think if the suzuki grizzly or brute force had the same ground clearance, diff lock, and good mud tires it should atleast do the same right???

    • @Fishing4Fish96
      @Fishing4Fish96 7 років тому

      jritch789 comes down to there Power to weight ratio. Polaris and Can Am produce more power than its Japanese counterparts. In the end Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, etc.. can go the same places but just won't perform the same. It also depends on rider skill. I've seen hondas out perform a Renegade 1000 XMR because the rider on the renegade doesn't have much experience.

    • @jritch789
      @jritch789 7 років тому

      Thanks for you response. My 500 king quad has 38hp and I believe my uncles Popo 500 has 35 I think. Long story short we both have the same type of tires, ground clearance is similar and me or him aren't balls to the walls by any mean but he seems to get through mud much easier kind of like what I see a lot on UA-cam. I noticed tho that Polaris and can ams have a much wider stance then the narrow king quads and grizzlys, could that be the added benefit also? Thanks man

    • @Fishing4Fish96
      @Fishing4Fish96 7 років тому

      jritch789 yes and no. The wider stance can keep the Polaris on the side of the ruts while yours is in the ruts. The Polaris is also geared lower than the king quad allowing it to use more power in the mud.
