this reminds me so much of my time living in Florida. beautiful day...."oh crap, a storm"...torrential downpour and lightning everywhere...30 min later....beautiful day
I was born and raised in South Florida. I miss all the feash fish. I think mullet is one of my favorites. And red fish too. I am 65 years old now and don't get to back to Florida anymore. My Uncle fish for a living and I remember going in the bay t
Caught about a 4lb snook in my castnet. I was wading out in the water and didn't bring it to land; just opened up the net to let it go, in case wilflife officials read this, lol. That was back around 1993.
I grew up fishin' like that around Sarasota. We went to the bay or beach to stay out of trouble all the time after school, and fed my poor family. Simpler times.. Fun video. Bummer about the rain, that happened to me a lot as a kid. But we'd find a bridge to get under and keep fishin'.
besides bait jumping, I look for bird activity above, oil slicks from torn up bait by larger fish and always look for patches of grass. fish are opportunist and love to hide in grass waiting for smaller fish to swim by. also, after a barometric change from high to low, like after a storm comes through, that tends to wake up the fish to gorge themselves. seen it!
I go fishing to relax not to work, three poles is to much like work. Sometimes I don’t even bait my hook, I just like getting out relaxing and maybe catching a nap.
Is there not a limit on the number of rods you can have out at any one time ? ... And how can you prevent deep-hooking fish in the event of multiple hook-ups, I'm talking about catch-&-release here... 🤔
Great video as always Brant, I live here in bath North Carolina and I do most of my fishing from the shore . This past Saturday morning I was trout fishing , had my limit of 4 in about 30 minutes along with a 27” slot red . I went back in the afternoon and landed the biggest red of my lifetime. A 46” red on a 3000 okuma reel with 10lb kastking braid and 12lb yo Zuri shot line on a popping cork. I just couldn’t believe it, would love to send you some photos . Any way keep videoing and I’ll keep watching!!!
That's hilarious you found one of my slot spots I know exactly where you are lol git a 21 and 22 two weeks ago right around the corner from where you were at
I ain't going to lie to you @anglerupwithBrant sometimes you're groans and your noises that you make sound like a woman's tennis player in the last bit of her match when she's wore out it's quite funny to listen to and actually pay attention to the noises and the grunts LOL love what you do keep it up . Ive been a day one sub and still thing you are the goat at this youtube fishing vids!!!

I knew I recognized that coastline.. As soon as you said Pensacola, I lit up.. great fishing spot there, don’t tell everyone.
Beautiful DINNER FISH♥️🇨🇱
Man, you were a lightning rod on that beach! I hate that on fishing in FL.
Looks familiar to the channel in St. Andrews. Caught many redfish out there.
Anyone else notice the classic water drop sound when the first little red was released?
Good video Brant nice reds really enjoy your videos water was beautiful tks for the video god bless take care from down on the bayou.
Why did you put that first fish with the beautiful spot on it back into the water and not keep?
Used to fish for reds off the old bridge going into tyndall, those were the days, no chance of doing that now I live back in england
fun fishing gotta love our weather..staysafe..
That so cool I’m cast net great show
Good old Florida storms.

Nice catch and great surprise!

What brand cast net would you recommend? Nets used to be cheap but now they’re $100+, looking to invest in a quality net.
I caught a flounder the size of a nickel, cast netting in the Cruise Ship terminals at the Port
what kind of rod holders do you use?

About to move to Sarasota can’t wait, getting out of this crime ridden shithole called Chicago
@@AlphaOmega1025 Sarasota has plenty of crime.
Just ran into your channel from the recommended list. Great content brother!! Easy subscribe. Keep it up
Classic Brant, no tricks or games. Love it. Brant the Explorer is a vibe that works!
I love just how he knows the species of each and every fish he catches with all the fishing he does and fish in the ocean!
besides bait jumping, I look for bird activity above, oil slicks from torn up bait by larger fish and always look for patches of grass. fish are opportunist and love to hide in grass waiting for smaller fish to swim by. also, after a barometric change from high to low, like after a storm comes through, that tends to wake up the fish to gorge themselves. seen it!
I love the RAIN AND EVEN especially even more NOW that were in a drought, 🙏🙏🙏 nice catch. 😁👍
Fishing in the county park has always been good. No one is there this time of year especially the bay side. Enjoy !
Thumbs up even though you’re wearing an FSU cap! Good game last night btw! Keep catching them! Tight lines fisherdude! 👍🏼
Next time watch the weather on the News. 🤣🤣⚡️⚡️🌩

Where did you get your stands at for your poles?I'd like to get one
Deerfield fabrication and welding. Google them
I hope y’all are ok from the Hurricane
I go fishing to relax not to work, three poles is to much like work. Sometimes I don’t even bait my hook, I just like getting out relaxing and maybe catching a nap.
Was impressed by the net work. What size net did you use. Maybe a cast net vid? Intrigued by how you load it.
10 ft ego bait net
A bad day fishing beats a good day at work.
I know you don't have to eat everything you catch, but why toss all of them back? Are they poisonous? Are there size limits?
Had a big gar in my net
Nice red fish brant enjoyed the video catch some more thanks.
Just west of Navarre on the sound side?
I dont mind the rain either, but lightning is another story
Dang it boy...that little shower wasn't playin'.

Always having fun, even in the rain, and the bonus red fish and a new spot was nice.

My friends kid got a nice slot red fish in his net last time we were there. I like that spot you were at. Nice and hidden but good access.
Got your beach cart cleaned off. That's the positive way to look at that storm. Loved how you caught the redfish in the cast net.
Was hoping for a bonefish.
Caught a fish in a cast net? My cast net does the same thing. 😂
Those Grey's are coming in my guy.
I’ve fished there back in the 00’s when I worked at Innerlight in Navarre. Great spot!

That's hilarious you found one of my slot spots I know exactly where you are lol git a 21 and 22 two weeks ago right around the corner from where you were at
Excellent as always !!
Excellent video, Brant. I don't think I saw any weights at all on your live bait rigs? Or did you just have some split shot that I couldn't see?
I did have 1/4 oz egg weights
I'd love a quick video on your net casting technique. Very impressive.
I ain't going to lie to you @anglerupwithBrant sometimes you're groans and your noises that you make sound like a woman's tennis player in the last bit of her match when she's wore out it's quite funny to listen to and actually pay attention to the noises and the grunts LOL love what you do keep it up . Nice catches man. How do you like that toad fish rod and especially the reel?

TO THE RIGHT,1 TO THE LEFT......
Could you do a video on your cast net technique…?
Pick a spot that has water for best results.
What size cast net were using?
10ft

Great video Brant nothing like going to a new spot and catching fish and especially when you get to bring home a meal great day👍
I've caught several good flounder in a cast net but never a redfish
Good fishing. You made back to the vehicle just in time to stay somewhat dry. You were catching some good looking redfish. 👍🏽🤠 3/6/23
Caught a 29" grass carp in my cast net. Had to buy a new net! Great video as always. Thanks for the entertainment, and info. Keep 'em coming.
