- Actress Farrah Fawcett and her mother Pauline Alice Fawcett guest stars on an episode of Superstars & Their Moms (1987). In the episode Farrah and Pauline look back at past events in their relationship. They discuss art and nude models, going off to college, Farrah taking a trip with her boyfriend and bringing Pauline alone and how Pauline feels watching Farrah on television.

Farrah became desperate to have a child, I believe. Her fertility years were quickly waning. Ryan is who she was with, so she just conceived his child. She could've found any decent guy who would've been more than willing to give her commitment, respect, love and a child.
I love my Mother like she loved hers and they looked alike. Too bad she picked Ryan O'Neal who was not a good role model.Hope her troubled son turns his life around. Can't believe she passed in 2009, 15 years ago. RIP Farrah and her Mother Pauline.

It's terrible that Fawcett had just 20 years left to live. Her mother lived another 16 years after this, Polly Fawcett was stunningly gorgeous.

Farrah's art was a constant in he rlife. I have seen her mention it over & over. I wish she had fulfilled that desire. She was very talented. She formally circled back on it in late 1990's with a show at an LA Museum.

When I watch this I think of what a beautiful, respectful family Farrah came from. I just hate that she ended up with Ryan O'Neil and put up with his emotional abuse for so long. Her mother raised her better than that and Farrah deserved better. I believe she would be with us today had she not ever encountered Ryan O'Neil. He has managed to destroy everything he is suppose to love.
Once Farrah conceived Ryan's child, she was doomed. I think she got desperate that her biological clock was running down and she just wanted a child. She could've found almost any guy and he would've been better than Ryan. Any decent guy would've more than willingly given her a commitment and the child.

FARRAH AT HER BEST.
Farrah was still beautiful at this time. She had a lot of emotional problems and she aged really badly. A couple year's before she was diagnosed with cancer she had a lot of cosmetic surgery to correct the bad one's she had previously. She looked great again, age appropriate but the the cancer diagnosis. 2 months before that awful news Farrah, Kate Jackson & Jacklyn Smith appeared together at that year's Emmy awards to honor Aaron Spelling who recently died. All three looked amazing. There was hype after that of a "Charlies angels" reunion for television but fate prevented that. RIP sweet angel. You are in heaven with mom, dad, sister..
Farrah did Not have a lot of Cosmetic surgeries. You can't just look at a person and make these things up. Ryan O'Neil stressed the heck out of Farrah to the point that she quickly started aging badly. Stress will do that. He was very abusive, extremely violent and started their Son on hardcore drugs.
She started looking better again once she dumped Ryan O'Neil, put a little weight back on and hooked up with her College sweetheart. Unfortunately, after a 5year break Ryan O'Neil was back in her life til' the very end. #RipFarrahFawcett
Farrah did have surgery in around 1999. People were commenting on how pretty she used to be, which bothered Farrah, who was extremely insecure.
How could she not be? An aging actress, any actress so well known for their beauty is going to be judged harshly as they age. Farrah's work came out good! VERY natural!

Her mom seems really nice & attractive. I feel bad farrah did not marry a nice southern gentleman. Sounds like lee majors was a bit chauvinist & ryan oneal a total narcissist. What blows my mind is farrah was such an icon already from a poster & only 1 season of Charlie's angels.
Anyway their is no greater compliment to hear about someone is that they were a great parent & their child loves them & says they are ur best friend. Just lovely.

Apparently, Redmond was the last thing she was saying as she passed. She had good reason to worry about him.

And she didn't have to keep dating people in the industry. She could have done like Susan Lucci or even Jaclyn Smith and married someone "normal." But she didn't because she probably liked the glitz and glamour. So I'm not even sure she'd have chosen a different life had she known.
In any case, we have to live as we see fit. Can't be on your deathbed wondering what could have been had you lived your own life. Have to take the good with the bad.

She definitely enjoyed the high life to some degree, I think that led her to the quality of men she ended up with, there's an allure that's irresistible. Interestingly, all those women you mentioned, are still alive and going strong. It's a good case study in how important our decisions today can positively or negatively impact the course of our lives, an example of how crucial it is that we think through our choices before executing them.

My lord this is sweet. They are so cute together and I love her story about the mom going on the date as the chaperone. Boy do I wish that would come back in style. The 80s were the big hair and perm decade, but I still miss her lovely hair from the 70s in this clip. 1988 is the one and only time I got a perm. Horrible on me, but hey, it was an 80s thing. Her voice is beautiful. Such a gentle vibe to this clip. Thank you for posting.

I know a guy who just turned 84, has a girlfriend who isn't a day over
48, and who told me flat out that he would never date or marry a
woman around Mrs. Fawcett's age because "Older women are
not sexy." They don't know what they are missing!
Mrs. Fawcett obviously took excellent care of herself over her adult life, apparently much more so than her daughters, both of whom died at age 62. One of her daughters actually predeceased her. The other lived just four years more after Mrs. Fawcett's death in 2005.

My mother was my best friend, miss her everyday.
My mother was one of my biggest enemies. She didn't care for me and refused to feed me as an infant.
She's been gone for 13 years now. I don't miss the fighting, but I have missed her a couple of times. I might have even cried once or twice. At least the last thing she said was that she loved me. I think that's the only time it felt real ish. I still don't think she really did, but it's one good memory i have, so i tell myself that she meant it. She had been out of it, but she sat up, looked right in my eyes, and said i love you clear as a bell.
While Farrah still looked good here but her age did start to show,
