Cmon man. The biggest change is that the Gas Engine equipped models now have a 10 speed AT rather than the 6 speed. That is a huge difference.
According to the market, that is not the biggest change. Might be the most mechanically significant change, but the diesel 2500 wayyyyyy outsells the gas version
just scooped the 6 speed 23 gas 3500 at4. i love it. coming off 2 10-speed f-150's in a row. its a big cruiser and is plenty fast and plenty strong for me. to me the10 speeds are clangy and jerky when they shift.
@@happyhealthyhuman The new Allison in the GM is much better than the one in the Ford which are hit or miss.

The interior is the biggest
Thank for more GM Ben. I like the cluster in the 2024. They made some decent upgrades where it counts. They have to stay competitive. You keep respecting the owners of the vehicles.
Both look really nice on the outside, but I prefer the new 2024 design a bit more. The front end is much cleaner looking! When it comes to the interior, it's a night and day difference. The new interior is a huge improvement, and now is the best in it's segment. All of these upgrades along with the Duramax power increase and the Gas engine now paired to the 10 speed is really nice. Well done GMC.
I personally like the 23 better then the 24 exterior appearance. Hate the new tiny fog lights and big plastic chrome bits where the old fog lights were at. The new rims are simply awful looking. 23 had much sharper wheels.
I do like the larger center screen on the 24 interior, the rest of the interior I prefer the 23.
The 23 has a lot more storage and functionally makes it a little more to my liking vs the 24.
The 24 Chevy interior has best of both. I have a 23 HD Denali Ultimate, I would not buy a 24 GMC, I think for 24 models I would pic the Chevy version.
I just bought a '23 2500 Black Diamond edition, no regrets...far prefer the more analog look and feel.
I like the lights and front end of the 23 better, but the dash and center stack in the dash on the interior is nicer than the 23. torn...
Reminds me when they went from the 2013 to 2014 in their 1500. Didn’t feel like the same manufacture.

Just sold my 2015 Silverado HD for $24,800.00 !, got a 2024 Silverado HD LT package, the interior dash is unreal ( driver centric ), the gas / Allison trans with 10 speed is a game changer, but should be for $64,300 out the door, OUCH!!!!

The 24 is hands down better. Not even close. I have a 23 and will be upgrading.
What really sucks...they got rid of the power tilt..so much for stepping up...but the competition still has it
just scooped a 23 3500 at4 gas. its awesome. i prefer the 23 over the 24 interior. the huge glass panel and all digital gauge cluster is too much screen for me. my old f150 had too much screen and was awful for night driving you couldn't dim it enough. the new 3500 is great for night driving and for the person that wants less screen. the driving experience is top notch on the gmc.
Can you please see if Google maps via Apple car play will put directions on the HUD or if it has to go through the built in Google maps?

I'm not sure on the outside, maybe I like the new one slightly better, but only because it is new. On the inside, I have a huge preference for the 2024, no contest. I have been recently contemplating buying a new 23' or 24' GMC Denali HD, and have decided to go with the 2024, despite at least a $5k savings available on the comparable 23'. I put my deposit down, the truck is built, and with any luck will be here within a month or so.
When did you order and how long does it take? I ordered mine mid March and just got a notification today that it is currently being built. Any idea how long it takes from starting assembly to being delivered?
@@matthewcolgrove9098 I didn't order mine, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. Mine looks to have been built about mid-March, it just showed up a couple of days ago at the nearby train depot awaiting final shipment via truck. The dealer says it will be ready for me to pick up likely within the next week.

I like the 23 better. The new interfaces will take a year or two to work out the bugs.

@@BenHardyCars love your channel, but you know the HD ultimate IS ONLR 2024 and has a specific interior and Vader gray etc… just sayin’… mine is in route and I’ve done extensive research… neither of those was an Ultimate. please keep the great videos coming 😁
