Jim Carrey, the dude literally dominated the 90’s and at the time was the highest paid comedian at the time. His facial expressions and his serious dramatic roles shows he has the chops to carry them off, reigning in his razor sharp comedy. Alrighty then.

While both are more known for their comedic, hammy roles, they're at their best when they're allowed to be dramatic and low key. "Punch Drunk Love" and "Enternal Sunshine" may be some of the best performances from Sandler and Carrey, respectively.

Kinda no surprised that you’d pick your fellow Canadian but if you ask me, it should’ve been a tie because both these men are legends in what they do.
I've seen Adams serious face and monotonic acting few times. But never seen one with Jim Carrey. Both are good but with energy levels Jim is the best, no one can compete as is Rowan Atkinson. Both Jim and Rowan have their own genres of comedy.

Watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, one of the best films of the century, and you’ll see a monotone and serious Jim Carrey. Even though he’s less monotone in the Truman Show, the film is a masterpiece and his performance in it is pretty iconic. Sandler was great in Punch Drunk Love and Uncut Gems, but he doesn’t touch Jim Carrey’s acting ability. Even though people find him annoying in some films, there’s no doubt that Carrey’s up there with the likes of Robin Williams, Peter Sellers, Bill Murray, etc when it comes to comedic actors and their switch to serious roles

Daniels is an actor not a comedian, which was what Carrey wanted. Jim Carrey knew that another comedian would just try to compete with him, an actor (like Jeff Daniels) would play off of Carrey and that’s what he wanted and that’s what Daniels did. So despite what you or I say, it wouldn’t have been a good idea to have Sandler in a movie with him anyway, just saying 🤷♂️

I loved Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore growing up. I liked Sandler’s other stuff too, but since I have been about 21 I have just not enjoyed him in the same way. When I go back as an adult I like Dumb and Dumber, Ace Ventura, Cable Guy etc pretty close to when I was a kid. Carrey has just stayed with me more through the years.

This was a tough list to create. Kudos for whoever wrote this script. These were super hard choices, and can be highly objectionable, but I think I agree with this list. It was just a fun watch. I love both actors and all the movies mentioned in this video, so it doesn't matter anyway :D But I will say that Uncut Gems really Effed me up. That was a great movie, and the one that's in my most recent memories.

Most recently, I started to watch Adam Sandler’s movies more and more nowadays now that his movies are on Netflix. While I do love Jim Carrey’s performance as both Eggman, The Grinch, AND Truman, I like Adam Sandler a bit more. I did watch Click last year and JUST watched one of his heartfelt movies that JUST released on Netflix, The Hustle.
