I basically took a sip of bourbon every time he said basically. I was basically too drunk to understand what I was watching before he basically pulled the grill back.
This guy is BASICALLY AWESOME and I’m BASICALLY DRUNK with all the shots I’ve taken after each BASICALLY 🤣basically an awesome straight forward basic easy walk through 🙌🏽🙌🏽
If you just left the BOLT cap off of the lock, could you get away with not cutting the grill? Or would that stop the key from going all the way in? I don't want to muck up my grill :(
So basically if you have a JT or JL with a Front Camera you can't use this Locking Hood Latch. Basically Jeep uses that top center grill slot for the front camera.
The 392 has bigger mesh too. Bolt told me they haven’t made the mold yet for the bigger mesh. So they recommended the template too. Returning my kit , and just ordering the lock
So you're saying it's impossible to remove your front grill if you have a winch on front? I have a warn winch that the wires are touching the grill do you think it's possible that I could remove it? I love your demonstration through this whole video so I bought myself one just wondering now about the winch that's in the front please let me know
Bolt locks are indeed the best. I use one to lock my Hi-Lift jack onto the Jeep and another to lock a Crazy Beaver shovel to the jack. I have another for the trailer hitch pin.
Thanks for the info & installation description, much appreciated. Good to see available JK BOLT hood locks as well as other products. Priced right as well. LIKE'd & subbed. 👍
I'd like to be able to use one of these on my JTR. However, I have a front facing trail cam so if I'm understanding correctly this type of system won't work. Enjoyed your video, Keep up the good work.
Basically, I have been looking at hood locks for Jeep Gladiators.😉 I don't like the latch locks. If it rains/snows and it freezes, the locks might be difficult or impossible to access. I like the Bolt lock as it is inside the grill, it uses one key and it has a weather cover. I will be ordering mine tomorrow!☺️
Does it come with a key if you don't have a new key fob like yours? Or do you use your ignition key to program the locks. Really cool product and great job presenting it and showing us how easy it us. Thanks Quinn
With a JK i always wondered why would I ever want to use the factory ignition key for the hood lock? Suppose I want to open my hood with the Jeep running - what do I do? Carry a second ignition key around? This is why I went with Tuffy. With the JL and Gladiator, is it push button start ignition? If not, you would run into the same problem.
I've been reading a lot of the comments here and a few customers are saying the lock can be easily defeated by simply placing your fingers behind the lock and getting the latch to open. I was about to make a purchase but after reading the comments, I'm hesitant to purchase this if that's the case here.
Take a shot every time he says the word "basically"and you'll be drunk by the three minute mark. I counted 36 "basically"'s in the whole video which is about 2.5 "basically"'s per minute 😂
So basically I have a question. I basically have a front facing camera basically where the lock is supposed to basically go. Is there any way for me to basically get this to work or am I basically screwed? It would be nice if you guys could basically make replacement latches with locks that would basically replace the factory hood latches. Other than that one problem, I basically love your products and plan to basically buy at least one of everything you basically make.
Getting a 2017 unlimited Willy and will be doing this install. Like yours it has a winch so I have 2 questions...what rivet tool will work size wise since you can't take the grill all the way off and second question is where do you get "that tool" for taking out the clips? Is there a set of "that tool" for use on the jeep like for prying running a CB antenna , dashboard etc...? Thanks in advance:)
Basically this video is basically full of basically 🤷 just kidding nice product basically is a must for basically any jeep lovers who basically want to protect our battery or basically any other equipment so basically thanks for the video is basically very helpful and basically very informative about the products.
I stopped counting how times you said basically. Either way very helpful video. Thank you
But basically, that was really annoying.
I meet a couple people that used that word in every fuckin sentence..
I basically took a sip of bourbon every time he said basically. I was basically too drunk to understand what I was watching before he basically pulled the grill back.

Basically, I don't know how I ended up here. Great video BTW
And what about the installation with camera trail?
Same question. I think it wont work. The only way is to get locking hood latches.
If you just left the BOLT cap off of the lock, could you get away with not cutting the grill? Or would that stop the key from going all the way in? I don't want to muck up my grill :(
So basically this is nice useful video and I'm basically going to subscribe. Thanks!
lol

Hey where did you get the key fob cover? I have looked around and I can’t find exactly what you have thanks in advance!!

Wont this lock obstruct the front camera housing?

Wish there was a smaller form factor key for the Jeep.
Thank you for making this video. Super easy. Great job!
Glad it was helpful!
It works on a Mojave with the front camera ?
I like that one better then one other video I see 👍 and better yet I can buy it at a shop right by my house 👍👍 glad I found your video
Thanks for the info & installation description, much appreciated. Good to see available JK BOLT hood locks as well as other products. Priced right as well. LIKE'd & subbed. 👍
Kool video, what am basically saying is that very basic and easy to understand, basically a good video
So if I wanted to do this with my front door?
I was told that it won't work with my 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon EcoDiesel as it has the front camera at the top centre of the Jeep grill.
I'd like to be able to use one of these on my JTR. However, I have a front facing trail cam so if I'm understanding correctly this type of system won't work. Enjoyed your video, Keep up the good work.
I really really like the hood lock, do you have one for a 21 Durango SRT 392 or can you make one. Thx 1/6/22
Can I use 1/4"-20 Stainless Steel Rivet Nuts, Flat Head Insert Nutsert? Thanks
Basically I'm writing this comment to thank you
I have a 2022 Wrangler Rubicon, and the key is flat on both sides ! ! Does anyone know if this key will work? ! !

Bolt has locks for JKs. All years use the same system that uses your existing lock. www.boltlock.com/vehicle_match?make=JEEP...

Jl push button but in your case would of made a copy
Just open unlock the hood before starting your vehicle?

What about a lock for the gas cap?
Bolt does not have a locking gas cap but its a great idea. Shoot them an email with your idea. info@BOLTLock.com

Well done
Great video. Thanks.

any hand or air riveter should work. The clip tool is made by Gear Wrench. yes the plastic rivet tool came in a kit with a bunch of trim tools.
My Rubicon has the Front Trail Camera so basically my grill no room to install the hood lock. 🥴
Basically
Nice job boss

So basically, you like the color orange.
Basically some of us like orange, some of us like green, or red or white!

Drinking Game: Everytime you hear "basically" ! (Doubt if anyone will be able to watch entire video without passing out.)
Drink every time he says basically
So basically 🤣
Basically
Really? Basically? LOL wish I has 5 bucks for each one.
So basically this video was ruined by basically a very basic mistake most creators do. Basically it’s about repetition, so basically, yeah.
