it's always good to hear and see the *real* side of Matt, as opposed to the jokey silly Matt that we're used to on Team Edge and BU and GG. I appreciate that

Hey Matt! Just wanted to say these videos have been really helpful!
I'm currently pretty unhappy (but very grateful) with my current UA-cam situation. I've been stuck in a really tight niche of children's content for the past 2 years. Pretty burnt out and I've lost the joy of it and my creativity is suffering.
One interesting quote I just heard was: "If you're burnt out, typically it means your working 'not to lose', instead of playing to win."
Your videos have been reminding me to take a step back and to do some evaluation.
Thank you for your open-ness and vulnerability!
    -Ben

Okay so normally I don’t comment on videos cuz I don’t really have anything to say but I agree with you with everything you said and I actually got a tattoo for mental health/disorders. It was for the fact that I wanted to let people know that like what you said, if they needed someone to just listen and not say anything, I would be that person for them.
P.s. Keep up the good work. I got my dad to watch and actually like some of your videos. Which is kind of a shocker cuz he’s very picky about the UA-camrs I watch. He likes you bc of the fact that you actually know what your talking about. His words exactly. “That Matt guy watch is very smart. Maybe I can learn a thing or two from him”

I really loved how you explained therapy in such a positive way! I am an avid believer that everyone can benefit from therapy no matter where you are in life. I loved how you were so open about it, because it’s true that typically people try to hide the fact that they go to therapy. I think it’s amazing that people go to therapy because they are actively seeking out a way to better themselves, and who doesn’t need to do that. Thank you for this vlog! It was very well put! ❤️

So I'm revisiting your older videos; enjoying absorbing the knowledge you just talk out. I enjoy learning from people who are "going through it too." Like -- we don't really know what's going on, but here is how I'm experiencing it right now in this moment. Love that. I feel like you're only talking to me.
    Simple blog style.
    Personal, and real.
    Thanks for the talk.

Beautifully portrayed! When I look back at your older content, I always felt a projection of good vibes. Your song backwards resonates with me deeply. I didn't hear it, I felt it. I felt you putting your soul into it. Now I enjoy much of your content, but I haven't been "feeling" it. Laughter is a powerful medicine for the soul, but this country is becoming the movie "Idiocracy". So, I sincerely want to thank you for using your influence to project positive vibes. We're a little too far to the other side of the spectrum if you get what I mean. What you're going through now is the process of spiritual alchemy. "Turning lead into gold". I hope you continue to use this channel as a way to communicate who you are behind the actor. Because I think you can leave a lasting change for the betterment of who we are as people. Once people become conscious of the evolution of self, isn't it up to us to decide the direction we wish to evolve it? May your mind be illuminated and peace be with you and your family.

Not only are you a man, you are someone of importance, someone respected in UA-cam. Not a lot of people like you talk about it so it's great that you are. ever since i found your channels there’s just always been something i clicked with and i believe it was the real feelings and the excellent content not only in the entertainment aspect, but the comforting aspect. i really appreciate your hard work that you put into your family friendly brand because it is really hard to find great content that also doesn’t go against my morals in the sense that it just doesn’t sit right with me, (if that makes any sense). and it also makes me feel great knowing there’s a youtuber out there who loves the same God i do, and can always put out content i can laugh to. i love your stuff Matthias, and i love your crew. keep it up. :)

Okay I’m super late to the comments but this is such an important message thank you Matt!! I suffer from anxiety, depression and ptsd and have recently decided to undergo my third course of therapy. This was a really hard decision as I’ve had two courses before but it felt right- this vlog just really helped to validate my feelings about why I want to return to therapy. It also said so many important messages about mental health and why we should not be ashamed of our feelings. My worst points were when I tried to stuff everything down and not talk about my feelings- people can be very judgemental about mental illness but there’s really no point in judging. The things you are feeling are legitimate and sometimes you just need help to understand what you are feeling. The move to go to therapy is very hard so well done matt on making this move!! And in terms of appreciation- you have helped me more than you could ever know through hard points in life. The hi 5 network has helped me smile and laugh and you have given me so much inspiration and more life lessons than I could ever imagine. I think we all and your team appreciate you so much, even if it doesn’t always seem that way 💕💕

Matt, you are so real and genuine, and I have enjoyed what you have created. You have a beautiful family, are open about the problems we all face, and that makes you the salt of the Earth. So many people on UA-cam are artificial in what they manufacture and it's quite insincere. You are the opposite, the genuine article, and you deserve some kudos for that. Me and my niece, who is my best friend in the world, have enjoyed all the videos immensely. We watch frequently, and we always talk about how if we ever got out that way, we'd love to meet you. Thanks for being real and for providing enjoyable entertainment. God bless you and your family 🙂❤️

This channel is great. It gives your entire hi5 audience a window into the entire studio lifestyle and really helps them connect. Because as big as every channel is. Its only as big as the audience they connect with. So Once your able to help the audience to relate the more they can relate to everyone involved. That will help with the entire company in general

To get into it a bit further would be lately cj doesnt seem so much to be into battle u or getgood. But maybe let him try a vlog more geared towards skateboarding. Thats a family friendly topic that he is clearly interested in. And with rose. It would be nice for aspiring vocal artist to see more into the recording process with michael and rose to see the work that goes into recording a single. Vlogs dont have to be personal life. But a way for audiences able to connect with the process

And the hi5vlog/woods channel cut a little short. If the videos come out afterwards then he has the perfect inside into how the videos were made. Let him film your guys perspectives (including team edge) but from some sort of involvement.... And i personally think that will help. ..Because i think youtube life now is the more you can relate to your audience. The better it is.... You want people imagining that they could be doing the same thing

These vlogs you have started to do stand out and speak out to alot of people, challenging the normal and letting people see it's not great for us to follow the normal path as we are all individuals. Matthias thank you for putting your self out there you a great man, I look forward to seeing your next video

I really appreciate your honesty & talking so frankly about your therapy & mental health. Kudos to you for getting help. When someone in the public eye (such as yourself) talks about their struggles it helps more people than they realize. Hopefully more will speak up, and eventually make the help more accessible for everyone who needs it. This is an excellent channel, and a must see for me. Thanks for your hard work!

I love that you openly talk about mental health. It’s such an important thing that no one talks about. I’m constantly preaching mental health but it’s nice to see someone with your reach talk about it.
    Love you Matt!! 💕

As a Psychologist, I agree :-). Therapy is wonderful because it allows you to talk to a completely neutral party and be 100% open without consequence. Using you as an example, you have a young child (with another on the way), a wife, friends, employees, you are the CEO of a company, and you are responsible for a ton of other peoples jobs. That is a TON of pressure for any one person. Its also good to talk to a neutral party who isn't a friend or family because you can talk without bogging down the other person. Couples counseling is also wonderful and many times will bring you and your spouse closer together, it did for my husband and I. You start to see and really LISTEN to your partner, especially because you are in an environment especially for that reason. Even though I don't know you, I am really proud that you are not only going to therapy, but telling people that its ok to go. That's really important, especially coming from someone with a platform like yours. Keep it up and its going to do wonderful things for not only you, but your marriage in the long term :-).

You telling us how much you appreciate the appreciation makes me feel so good! I feel like I've got your personal backing for continuing in what I believe I should be doing. It's a great positivity loop that I hope you will continue fostering on this channel for as long as you feel like. You're already doing a great job at creating the kind of community you want to see on this channel, and we really appreciate the transparency and raw unfiltered emotions and comments straight from you. Most revolutions start with 1 person, and I think that this is going to be an amazing channel for everyone. Keep it up!

I love these vlogs. I’m so glad you started back but also seeing this side of the business and personal is invaluable. This one right here though needs to be talked about more in the way you did it. As an open conversation it’s just so important

Your mental health should always be a priority. Working on yourself is something everyone needs to make time for and everyone has problems even if you don’t show it. Therapy is such a good thing and I wish more people went. You can always better yourself and I’m glad you shared that with us. We appreciate that. You're doing a great job!

Thanks for this vlog, Matt. I really needed to hear some of the things you said. College and my home life have been suuuper stressful lately. All of us appreciate all that you and your team do💕 My mental health has declined so quickly that last month but I’m slowly getting back on my feet!

Sharing that you do go to counseling is really of value. Mental health is a huge issue that really doesn't get as much attention as it should. Thank you for your honesty and God bless you. 🙏❤

Absolutely love this, thank you for sharing! There are way to many stigmas out there on therapy. Started seeing a therapist a year and a half ago and it has been the best thing for me. You cannot find happiness in anyone until you find it yourself!

Honestly you are one of my favorite people to watch along with your employees. It's the kind of thing I wish I was doing so watching you go from just starting to putting out all these amazing great ideas even though you are more bts now has been a wild ride. I hope that one day I can do something so inspiring to others. Keep up all the hard work!
Also thank you for being opened about your mental health. No matter who or what mental health should always be first. And I say that as someone who needs help but can't Express it.

Just shared with my Facebook friends stating that I’ve been following you for years and watching you grow has been awesome, speaking on your new channel and especially this video it’s raw and real and there’s a lot to learn from you. Personally this has made me feel that much better about looking for a therapist, I’ve been on the fence for 8 years but I’ve grown so close to you and your crew through the lens that I trust your opinion on it’s not shameful to seek help more than my in person friends sometimes, I want to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you Matt

Thats great to hear Mathias. Mental health is just as important as keeping up your physical health. The way you talk deffinently feels like a real conversation and I can see how it could be a type of symbiotic relationship between the three groups

I appreciate how open you are about everything, even this. Most people dont like to tell anyone they go to therapy. But hopefully people seeing your videos know it's okay to look for guidance or help.
