I’m a teen with no plan to start a business or really anything that has to do with what Matt is talking about on this channel, still I’m watching this. I’ve been wondering about why I’m really watching this and I’ve come to this conclusion.
I’ve been following Matt and the crew for some time now and I love the personalities and how they’re a big family. I just love watching you guys no matter the content. Plus I find it fascinating to listen to someone talking about something they’re really passionate about.
I don’t know why I wrote this, I just felt like I wanted to tell you how much I appreciate you guys.
Thank you for reading my rambling :)

This whole comment is me precisely. I'm a teen aswell and am not interested in business at all(I'm taking a business management class in school but bcuz they randomly put me in there. It made me realize how much I really don't like it😂). But hearing Matt talk about on this channel is so interesting, and all of Hi5 and their personalities are amazing and I enjoy it so much.

I actually quit my job today because I just wasn’t happy anymore. People are not passionate anymore. It slowly trickles down to everyone. The environment became too toxic. One of my issues was an employee behaving like a manager when they have no authority at all what so ever. Many people have left because of this person. Yet they still keep them. I don’t understand why a company would keep someone that is so toxic.

Glad to see another INFJ!

You want to create content for families, keep doing what you are doing. I started watching you because of my oldest, who is now 18. I am 36, yes old. Watching you has turned into family bonding time and has lasted over 3 years now. We all wait for alerts for any new videos, on any of Hi5 channels. We laugh, then laugh and cry together. Keep doing what you are doing, but of course grow in the process 😁

Life and living show on you now, and it’s good. The private life you live with Amanda and Luna, plus your close family has only richened your depth of character and appreciation of others. Good job, my brother! Keep up a close Walk!

I love your perspective on this subject. I feel the same way. I used to be an assistant store manager and the store manager would beg people to stay or prolong their "two weeks." She would guilt trip people when they would quit. I tried to communicate with her how her actions affected the team's morale and flow. She didn't believe me. I can first hand attest that the way you view it (and proceeded with) allows daily operations to run smoothly and the transition is more peaceful. The company I am with now follows the more positive outlook and it works so well.

  • @TheBakingSlave

It's funny that you say that you want an interior designer because I have always thought that you actually have an eye for design. The way you style your office space, your home (although I did see in vlogs that Amanda does a lot of it at the house too), the aesthetic (good lord I hate that word lol) of your instagram, etc......is really pleasing to the eye, at least to me. I know that its obviously subjective, but to me, your style is super cool and clean. I get style ADHD lol.......I like several different styles and I end up buying things from each one and ending up with a bunch of mismatched styles that don't go together, it drives me absolutely nuts. On the note of employees, yes, it can be really tricky. When my mom and I owned our business/store while I was in college, employees were one of the biggest stressors honestly. Its a whole other person that you are responsible for. If YOU fail then it puts those employees in a terrible position and can affect their lives catastrophically. I remember when we had a big chain store move in down te block, which in turn affected our business, I would sit up at night so afraid that if something happened and we had to close that our employees would be left in a terrible position. On the flip side though, we have also had employees that, at first, seemed great, but later on it turned out that they were NOT the right fit. Having to let them go was so awkward and awful and it was another added stressor that I just hated. Running a business is so difficult and your heart and soul REALLY has to be in it or it just won't work. That is why your business is so successful, you have put everything you have, every ounce of you into your business and it's paying off. Oh and as far as the Meyers Briggs personality tests, its a great way to really see everyones personalities in a more tangible way. I am one of the rarest (INFJ-The advocate) and my husband is an INTJ, which is the second rarest hahaha. I always joke that its crazy we found eachother. Meyers Briggs is always a fun way to see where everyone falls personality wise. Oh, I just got to the part where you said that you were also an INFJ!! That is so cool!! Its a rarer personality type in men, so you are pretty dang rare. Its even cooler that Tanner also got that same personality type, thats pretty special. That is also why words of affirmation are so important to you, as INFJ's we like to be told when we are doing something right, we are givers and we like people to acknowledge that some times ;-). Anyway, sorry for the novel I wrote, its the Psychologist in me haha.

Like you said you at times make mistakes but when you team isn't even bothered by it, that shows you are a good leader, that shows how much trust they have in you and how they have your back like you have theirs. Being an entertainment type industry, viewers can usually see the enthusiasm and fake emotion. Your company by far has been the most inspiring team I have seen. When you have that, your doing it right. I also wish a lot of CEO's had that attitude you do when it comes to people quitting or just your general attitude for everything you do. Keep it up Matt.

    Hey Matt,
First and foremost I want to start off saying that this is in no way, shape or form a "hate comment", in fact, I truly value and respect what Hi5 Studios is doing: Putting out a lot of family-friendly content on UA-cam. I feel this should always be the number one priority when looking to create new content. However, in the recent weeks/months I have found myself not being drawn or interested enough to click on a video on any of the channels except for this one (If I do click on one it is mostly out of boredom). This is not because I don't enjoy the produced content. I feel every video whether it's on "Dope or Nope", "Rekt" or "Get Good Gaming" is just a "rehashed" version of some previous content. I know I'm not a businessman, I'm not trying to be and I trust that you always make the right decisions for the business. As a viewer, my wish for your company is that Hi5 creates original content. I can only speak for myself here, but I just don't want to see "GTA Hide&Seek" or "10 Mystery Tech Products" for the billionth time, there are enough videos on this platform to fill my need for those types of videos. This is another reason why I enjoy this channel. First of all it's your candidness second of all it's new, fresh content that I'm not used to seeing on UA-cam. This is why I wish Hi5-Studios would create more original family-friendly content, that can also be seen as a way for the company to thrive a bit more. In Germany, there is an idiom called "Mut zu der Lücke" which basically means to have the courage to leave a blank space /to be different. I feel that this bravery is what started out in Hi5-Studios, constantly changing and evolving shows and channels, but now like I said earlier I feel like it is the "UA-cam recipe" of always creating the same content because other people have already gotten views for it. I can only repeat it again, my appeal to Hi5-studios is to create original content.
Now I'd like to again clearly state I am not in any way, shape or form a businessman or CEO of some sort. This is my opinion, what you do with this feedback is totally up to you and again I trust in you Matt to make correct decisions for the company. Of course, I also know that this would be a risk and a potential loss of subscribers, views, and sponsorships but I'm going to go out on a limb and say business is about taking some risks. In that sense, thank you for reading this (if you do) and maybe listening to me.

People could express their talents of music, computer technology, graphic design, etc. And they needed to be team players. Then you said if someone left Hi5 Studios, he would take more knowledge with him than when he joined. Watching the channels of Hi5 Studios, I totally agree. Holy crap I’m an advocate too! The personality test is pretty cool but just remember we are all a mix of multiple personalities the one that you get is just the closest one to you so you don’t need to fit it exactly and don’t let who the test thinks you are define exactly who you are. I know from experience I caught myself trying to change every little aspect of me to fit exactly what the test said so I had to make a conscious effort to act like myself. Also it’s perfectly alright if it changes a few times in your life.

Hey; not sure if it's on your end or on UA-cam's end- but the thumbnail to the "3 reasons to NEVER start a business with your family" at the end of THIS video still has the knife thumbnail instead of the updated "help me" sign in it. Not sure if that manually needs to be fixed or if it'll change over time?
Great video though, Matt. I couldn't agree more with your approach- managing such a quirky group of human beings is difficult, so it's great to see you arm yourself with so much knowledge from people that have been there and done it already. Hopefully if your team are all watching these videos like you asked, they should feel in good hands with a captain at the helm who's never one to rest on his laurels.

I'm a year late 😶 but I took the test and wow.
My personality came out as an ISTP-t (Virtuoso) the description even mentioned my current job as being a good job for this personality type which really shocked me. Apparently the best personality type I get along with are ESTJ (Executive) but like Matt mentioned in the video, personality is just one aspect. Fascinating nonetheless. Great video yet again!

I love your aspirations for the channel Matthias , you are making me think more about what I would need in employment as Ive had leadership experience in the past and haven't got a job at the moment but if I find employment I can use my leadership experiences. Id love to know what youve experienced as a leader and how youve worked in the past Matthias, and how you progressed in your leadership. Could you answer that in your next vlog? For me personally? I also agree with your aims and values of the company as you strive hard to make the content family friendly and your individualistic approach is awesome.

Hey mat I have an idea for this channel. You should start selling merch for this channel, and as an amazing way to kick of the merch with a bang, you should make a drawing for 3 opportune supporters to came and tour hi5 studios and be in a video! The way you do it is you number a piece of paper from 1 to 50 1 number gets shipped with the merch and the other gets put into a drawing bucket. Once all 50 numbers have been shipped with the merch, you do the drawing, pick three random numbers and the supporters with the corresponding number has a week to send you a picture, or video of them holding the merch and the number and to ensure that they didn’t cheat, you send the peice of paper with your signature. You see your signature it’s legit.

Hey Matthias, I have been wanting to work for Hi-5 studios for years now. I will be turning 18 this fall, and graduating next Spring. Is there a way I can apply once I turn 18, so I can work right after High School, or do you guys require a college degree of some sort? If I can apply, is there a link to the site I need to apply on? Thank you for everything you do, and thank you for giving me a goal to strive for.

(if he has already answered this then just breeze over what i say) I believe you can go to the Hi5 Studios website and send a message under the contact dropdown. You can specify what channel you want to work with and such. If you're going for the PA position, I don't believe there is any college requirement for that. Other technical positions might require one though. But he usually says if you have a passion for something, like audio tech for example, and you are willing to learn and grow then you might just get that position. Hopefully he'll go over his hiring process in a future video and you'll get a more in-depth response. This is just from my observations.

To your point about training new people I'm not 100% to what extent this works but in my project management class we discussed the idea of learning curves. Doing something a 2nd time takes less time than the 1st. Doing it a 3rd time takes less time than the 2nd and so on. Ideally speaking when you are training multiple people for the same job, the more time you do it the faster you'll be able to get through all the relevant information. And of course the new hire goes through the same process. But depending on each person's learning rate the curves will be different from person to person. I don't know how or if that helps but it was something I thought of while watching this

    So a few ideas of critique;
I think the exec logo looks great again; but the "The" clips the "exec" text. I would make the "The" to be fat letters that fit on that slim area; and make the "the" appear after the "exec" appears.
    Just an idea!
And also; when filming in your car, I would adjust the camera angle to have your face block the Tesla logo on the car window. It's somewhat distracting to see this black for next to your face; appearing and disappearing.
Apart from that- I love the progress! The website looks great!
