- Hey guys! I am sure some of you are confused why the channel “Matthias 2” was renamed to “Unrelatable”. You’ll see in the video. Basically these are super casual vlogs around the studio. Might not keep the name, it’s whatever. A lot has changed since I last uploaded. What would you like to know? Let me know your feedback down in the comments below! Thanks!

Where have you been and what has been going on is everything good
I just miss old Team Edge a bit. Not really about you not being there anymore. I completely understand that. But I miss the days when you guys would just make videos on regular board games / party games without making them giant or EXTREME and stuff. It felt more authentic when you guys were just cracking jokes at each other. Now I don’t keep up with TE videos at much anymore because everything just seems blown out of proportion and you guys kinda rely on the intensity for comedy.

Same here, I still see the new TE videos but I definitely like the old videos better. I just think I laugh more in those videos. If a video is too professional I don't find it as funny. J-Jokes and like the made up team edge words, I miss those! I like rewatching their old videos...
Jayflower Exactly. I really thought they were going to make a book out of those made up words haha. And they never address the Edge Games anymore. Or eg points. And sure they use the wheel from time to time now, but it doesn’t have as big of a role as it did in the old videos. I miss small Team Edge.
@@anxieturt Yeah, they only hosted one TRUE edge games and then cut out the intro completely. I would love intros with everyone in the video. But agreed, old team edge is dearly missed.

As an older fan, I fell in love with the original Team Edge videos. I'd love to see more things like that again, maybe throwback videos with your new cast, playing board games, collaborating, skits, improv games, etc. I still watch a lot of Hi5 now, but I agree with other commenters who say that things feel overproduced and trend-chasing now. It seems like videos are streamlined, quantity over quality, instead of focused on fun and originality. I've loved watching the changes over the years and I'm so appreciative that we could watch you and your family and co-workers grow!
PREACH! I totally agree. I was there when Team Edge started, so watching the videos now seem like that high-budget, yet not as much thought and overproduced. Quantity over quality like someone said. It does not feel as fun. AND their titles seem weird. Its now always starting with "Don't (insert rest if title here.)"
Same. I used to know every single video by heart in the first year, year and a half that they were coming out because they were so damn enjoyable.
A lot of that content was driven by space. When they first started they were in a garage so that was all they could do. Part of the reason TE moved was they were limited by the space they could use and HI5 studios its self could also use that space for other things. I would like to see more info given to the whole team that works on channels IE not just the ones on camera. Who they are and what they etc. and another Softball game or something like that lol
Overarching narrative you say? I will say this, I loved UA-cam Genius and I was super invested in the ghost stuff and mysterious set of keys that happened last year so I would definitely want to see more series style vlogs and even a funny sketch series with people around the office. I think the Office/sitcom style format you had going for the last few vlogs on the Matthias channel is fantastic

It's good to see you back, Matt. I personally always liked the vlogs that were more focused on the studio itself rather than being entertaining and having a fun game in it. You guys are already fun and entertaining so seeing you guys be more genuine and geek out about stuff is really cool to see. I'm really excited to see what's in store for the studio!

Its so strange to see you being so serious, im used to you joking around on Dope or Nope. It is really eyeopening to see what goes on behind the scenes. I do think you put alot of pressure on yourself, but from what i can see, Hi5 Studios is doing amazing! Your whole team is brilliant and gel so well together.
Content wise, I’d love to see more special events. Like the staying 24 hours in Hi5. Just a few of the vlogging channels coming together to post a kind of series was pretty fun. Another cool thing would be some skits. Your old skits were amazing, and now you have a ton of people that you can feature in them. Idk, just some ideas if you find the time and resources. Happy to see you back!

I'm probably a minority here, but I'm in my mid-twenties now. I stopped watching all videos that High-Five produces probably 8 months ago.
For me, it became overly produced and crazy, and the humor seemed to be for a younger audience.
I'm more akin to interviews, learning new skills or philosophies, or candid content.
I started watching you when you and Amanda lived in the apartment. I loved your vlogs, for the homestyle feel.
I agree honestly. I'm in the same boat, I remember I absolutely enjoyed Matt's old stuff and the old team edge videos, but now I just don't seem to enjoy it anymore. Everything just feels scripted to me in a way, I still watch the content becuase I love Matt and want to support him, but it's just not enjoyable anymore.
Totally agree. I only find myself watching Totally Trendy in the world of Hi5 channels (and that one isn't official funded as far as I know).
@@outsetmoon Not only that, the titles for team edge are so ridiculous now. After the last Whodunnit videos, it wasn't as fun to watch. I just wish it was Matthias, J-Fred, and Bryan on team edge again. Old team edge was the best.

Randomly scrolling through my feed. A video with matt's face popped up, that i have never seen. I was like wtf how is this possible. For a moment, i was like a new channel which got auto subscribed. Anyway i clicked it and liked it without seeing it. Anything with matt, video will get liked first then only watching starts!
I throughly enjoy the content put out by your studio. I have subscribed to most if not all of the channels. The videos are interesting and funny which is what I look for when finding new content to watch. Dope or Nope was the first channel I ever watched from Hi5. Once I realized that there was more content from the same group, I wanted to subscribe and watch them all. Thank you so much for starting this company to allow collaboration and a creative safe space for your creators. As I walk into student teaching next semester, I know that I could potentially be teaching a future UA-cam creator. My job is to encourage their curiosity and creativity and give them ways to use it.
As someone who has had experience both in running your own individual channel, and many channels as part of Hi5 Studios, I’m curious what sort of advice you might have for beginning UA-camrs? What sorts of lessons and practices does running a channel through Hi5 Studios bring that would be useful for beginning UA-camrs?

I love having you back, but I also seriously appreciate what you're aiming for and acknowledging. Personal fulfillment within the workplace is unbelievably important, as is growth: personal, as teams, and as a company. It's in the lack of seeing, acknowledging, and then accommodating for that necessary change in order to grow that so many companies lose employee retention, continuity, and, overall, the life of the company itself. I sincerely hope that Omneity, Inc., and it's subsidiaries are around for many, many years to come. Despite not being part of your team, I'm quite interested in what these colors may bring. I wish you, your family, your companies and your teams all the best!
I honestly feel like Fail Time could have worked if it had a different layout. It was really hard to get through most videos despite being excited for it when everyone was reacting to the same clip and rereading the same thing - it become monotonous. I started to wonder 'why do I have to keep watching if someone's already reacted to it? When two people reacted to it?' If everyone was given different material to react to it would be way more enjoyable. I started falling in love with Fail Time again when they started doing challenges because despite being given the same general mission, it was still very different (even if the challenges resembled most of the other channels - which I know can't be helped). I've also had a small but fun editing idea for Battle Universe: As it cuts from the logo to footage, try using radial blur, proportional around .6 to .7 and key frame it to go to 0 after a couple of frames. It looks a lot better if you start the radial blur at the end of the logo. I think it'd be a really cool effect - I'm just an editing nerd sorry. Just like many others in the comments, I've been a quiet fan for quite some time. It's been a journey watching Team Edge grow from being in an apartment to their new warehouse and being blown away at the new sets. You're making so many people's dreams a reality and I have so much respect for you for that (and because of your old skits too - despite being short they were pretty well done). I really like this vlog layout and I think it'll definitely help you keep in touch with the community because you're not putting on a mask or trying too hard to make content for views - it's real and it's a way to get direct feedback about what's working on the channels and what's not.
The thing I don't like about the content is why so much fortnite in GG?? We need to see more games!

Well, one thing that I would really like is if some things were more community-based. It's nice to help out with polls and stuff (like on Dope or Nope) but I would really love it if you bought something where we, the community, could submit things and you include that in the videos. Some examples of this (from Dope or Nope, since that is my favourite channel from Hi 5) are how you're doing a fan products video soon, when you made that subreddit, and that time when you reviewed dollar store items that viewers sent in from before the change.
I really enjoy most channels from Hi 5. You guys have such great positive energy, and it's so much fun to just kick back and play your videos. I appreciate whatever you do, and even if I'm sceptical about changes, you guys always make sure that your audience is your first priority. No matter what you (you personally and Hi 5 as a whole) do going forward, you'll always have my support.

Emmy Mae and WolfGamerPro, Kendall didn't mean that this used to be Woods' channel. Matt said, in this video, that the studio cut Fail Time and that Woods is no longer uploading so he moved to Rekt.

Ok here's some feedback for you, and I'm going to be 100% honest:
1. I love you and everyone at Hi5, and enjoy all of your content. But, I feel like a lot of the videos have started to become a lot alike (within its channel and compared to videos outside its channel). Apart from Rekt, most of the content from other channels have started to feel the same, like it will have some sort of game, test, or prank, and then co-workers will come and be apart of the game or test, or be pranked, and then that's the end of the video. I really love and enjoy those types of videos, but it's repetitive and could eventually lead to people being bored with the content and possibly only watching for everyone at Hi5 (because you guys are hilarious together). So I would suggest changing up the type of videos made for channels with that kind of format every once in awhile.
2. Dope or Nope sort of has the same problem but not really. It's videos are very entertaining and funny, but eventually all the videos on that channel start to become the exact same as all their previous videos. But, I understand it has to be like that because of the objective of the channel. So, there isn't much to change for Dope or Nope, unless someone can think of some sort of twist you can add to a DoN every once in awhile.
I feel like BU has changed a lot and not as enjoyable. Maybe the crew doesn’t like shooting it as much as they did. I don’t know.
And gg has to much fortnite and enough of other games
Lowkey, I haven’t seen a BU video in like a year. They kinda got boring and specially when Cj started to be in the videos, I just stopped watching.

This is actually the type of vlog I've been dying to see from you, Matt! The entrepreneurship, leadership, and raw behind the scenes of running a successful company. You have such a killer team around you, which makes these vlogs even more entertaining and valuable. Super stoked to see you vlogging again, and looking forward to watching more content like this!
I love all of your channels and have been a quiet but loyal viewer for a long time. I don’t care about an upload schedule as long as you get content that you are proud of to your viewers! It’s really just inspiring to see a group of people really doing something fun and that they love with their life! It probably doesn’t mean much but I will support this company wherever it goes.

Question: Why are you slowly withdrawing from channels such as GG or Team Edge? I know you've talked about wanting to focus on other projects but will you ever be a part of those channels or any channel other than Dope or Nope?
He and Amanda are having another baby. And he does it with all. He gets it going and thriving and steps away. But I don't think he'll step away for Dope Or Nope besides for paternity leave. Atleast I hope not.
Okay first thing in my opinion fail time was a great channel. That channel was enjoyed by most of us viewers. I personally enjoyed it because it showed a different side of the members of high 5 studios. However i do understand qhat you are saying and the business stand point of it. So i am a bit bummed but i cant wait to see what comes in the future for hi5 studios. And welcome back matt.
I have to agree that fail time made me laugh so much more than all of your other channels and am really sad to see it go.

I like the vlog. if it takes the route you say it's taking I will enjoy learning how your business runs. I want to see the thought process, team building, and creative collaborating that you guys do. I want to know so I can better understand you and how I could apply it to my life. group settings are near impossible to avoid. so learning how to do it is invaluable.
I love how down to earth and real this vlog is. I think it is important for everyone to see that you guys are a business that puts in SO much hard work, and not just a bunch of people just having fun. Not to say that having a business isn't fun, but that there is so much more that goes into making the content that all of the channels put out for the community. This is certainly an awesome opportunity for people that want to learn more about the behind the scenes of everything so they can pursue a career similar to what you provide for your staff. It is okay to be serious and truthful about things, that is what makes things progress and keep going. Thank you for putting yourself out there and having the courage to do something like this, I think it will definitely pay off both for your staff, and the community around you.

Dear Matt,
First off, I wanted to say congratulations for all your success. It’s been amazing to watch all these channels grow for so many years and to learn about so many different people. I honestly am not sure if I’ve missed a video in like...2 years? 🤔
Secondly, I’ve been especially interested in GG, as I play video games professionally for a living, and I’ve got a good amount of feedback so I’m sorry if this is...lengthy to say the least. I’d like to start off with the fact that I have really enjoyed the content so far from Minecraft - GTA especially with you, Paul, Tanner, and Connor. My first and probably biggest criticism though is the variety. I know a lot of people are feeling this and I know that you guys are aware of this but in terms of games that I’d suggest that would be good / entertaining with multiplayer would be: Risk of Rain 2, Stick Fight, Super Smash Brothers (would have to invest in a switch for the GG but honestly I think we’ll worth the $300), Overcooked, Runbow, Hyper Jam. And that’s to name a few! Honestly I think that hyper jam is something you would all absolutely love. My second criticism is the lack of mature content and this is more of a personal thing but I know that without a filter you all would probably be even more funny than you already are so why not make a new gaming channel that focuses more on an older demographic? Something with Gore, cussing, whatever. A lot of twitch streamers recently have been shifting content to family friendly and then they’ll have “After dark” which essentially means more adult content. I think it’s something that Hi5 should absolutely branch out into and I think that Paul, Connor, Tanner, and Woodland would be amazing with. CJ would probably also thrive in a non censored (even though you can probably just bleep if they cuss because monetization).
Anyways that’s just a couple of ideas that I had, if anyone (not just Matt) made it this far I want to say thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful day. ❤️

I have so much respect for you, your goals for Hi5, and your transparency with us in the Community. Not many creators are willing to be so honest with their struggles and their goals.
I do miss the vlogs and Fail Time a lot. Personally, I always felt that they added an extra level of connection and authenticity with the audience. But I am extremely excited to see what's coming next! May God continue to bless you as much as he has!

This idea is so cool! I love seeing the actual behind the scenes kind of things and really learning the flow of HI5. I would like to see more of the people behind the scenes. I think it'd be cool to show what actually happens before a video is produced(like how the ideas are made or how you all brainstorm ideas) and the process that that video had to go through before being released.

Kymberlee Dosch He won’t be vlogging anymore. I think he’s considering starting is own personal channel (in other words one that’s not funded by me, that’s up to him). Fail time won’t be uploading anymore either. The reason? Honestly refocusing the team, I think I stretched the team too thin and it’s a tough call but now the bigger channels will hopefully get to a place that’s a lot more consistent in uploads and quality for you guys.

I have been a long time watcher of hi5 studios and I have always been drawn to the content as a way to calm down and have a genuine laugh. The main thing for me is that you guys are enjoying yourselves. Now I’m not saying I expect to see you happy all the time, in fact I enjoy stuff like this that is much more raw because it creates a feeling of trust that I really like to see in creators. To know creators like you are making content for themselves and their fans, not some bottom line is a very comforting thing. Often times I really enjoy your more planned shows, however I do miss more people doing “daily vlog format” where there isn’t a challenge incorporated. I used to love the follow me around vlogs you guys used to run because it seemed more connected. I enjoy the occasional slow down of your content where it feels more like a conversation than a TV show. Frankly, what ever you guys do in the future please know that your fans (including myself) will support you. Watching the studio grow over the past couple years has been a truly incredible thing to see and I can’t wait to see what you do next. I would just like to thank all of you for all you have done for me. You’ve helped me more than you could know. Also, good luck Shannon! I wish you the best in this new chapter your life!

Love this! I love seeing behind the scenes and what you do with your team and your thinking. I love that you give people a chance and you're ok with people moving on. Change is inevitable and so I get that you try new channels and that some channels don't work. You still seem to have a great group of people there that work well together. I’ve been a fan for ages, so long till I’ve seen a new vlog!
Im so proud of everything that Hi5 has done over the last few years but I have kind of fallen out of love with ALL the content coming out of Hi5. At first I really enjoyed everything on all the channels, but along the way everything started to lose the personal edge and the creativity. I wish i could get into more of the content. Ill keep holding out and checking in on you guys.
I completely agree. I want to like what they're creating but it's hard sometimes... I'll definitely still stay subbed to the channels and wait for any changes that may happen
I love most things about hi5 content but am fed up with GG being almost entirely fornite focused. Thought it was "Gaming" not "Game"

One thing I love about the content at Hi-5 is the family-friendly and just generally friendly and fun content that is produced over all the channels. I've been cutting down on the time I spend on social media, especially UA-cam, and your channels some of the few I still watch because the content is genuinely an uplifter for me. Thank you guys for all the work you do! :)

Great to see a different side of u and hi5 studios a more real side i would say i honestly did hav a trouble understanding what these vlogs are gonna be so i hope I'll be able to understand what it really is as u upload more!
i really like the business side of things as i aspire to be a entrepreneur myself!
Firstly my selfish complain with hi5 studios is that the uploads are getting slow (dope or nope) first it was 3 videos a week and not its 2
2nd complain again a selfish one u stopped appearing on alot of channels (battle universe/get good gaming/fail time)
but i got used to it since u appear on dope or nope but it was a really a drastic change for me coz i was introduced to other channels through you and i used to watch them just cause u wer in them but now im used to other lovely ppl at hi5 studios and enjoy them a ton!
but i still think u should atleast try to appear often on the other channels as well

I extremely love it when you guys are just vlogging and being yourselves. It's refreshing and nice. Especially when I have been a fan for a while and watch a lot of your companies content. BU, Team Edge, GG, Rekt, Fail Time, Totally Trendy, Røze, etc. You guys are all doing really cool things that are interesting. Also I love the idea of you talking more about business. What I personally love about Matt and hi5 is that there is a difference between a boss/supervisor and a mentor. They are clearly mentors building people up and helping them grow and genuinely being happy for a former members successful.

1. How far has the company grown? Rough employee count, subscriber count, channel count, etc.
2. I remember a mention of a Gold Base. Is that still in progress? What are office-spaces changes? Ex: in this video, Dope or Nope team moved?
3. Whose behind the camera, assisting you with 'CEO' tasks? Assistants, contributors, etc. Who helps keep this place running?
4. New faces at the studio?! We haven't seen many of those, besides on the newer channels- Woods, Totally Trendy, ROZE
5. How far up to speed are your other projects? Screentime, I believe it was called, was one. AdPop? Chill Records?
I appreciate how you are taking a step to be real in front of the camera. That doesn't happen on UA-cam anymore. I'm not sure if it will happen with this channel, but, it's amazing to see someone taking strides towards that.

I've been a fan for around 4 years now and something I LOVED as a fan on the Matt and Amanda channel when you guys would literally just sit and talk, it was awesome.

Woods, Fail Time I'm crying, but the memories that I made just from watching Hi5 studios that just cleared my sadness and stress from my life, so Matthias with whatever choices you will make you REAL fans will be fine with it. I know not only me, but other people are sad that channels are ending, but Matthias we will stay with you until the end. Thanks again for vlogging again. Happiness level just went up.

One thing I absolutely love about HI5 is that when you guys make videos you seem like real people who physically enjoy making content for your viewers but a lot of other channels just stage everything and it makes them not seem like real people because everything is just to perfect. What I’m trying to say is you guys just seem like friends working with each other that makes a really good vibe

Would be great to see a documentary that covers how the studio started. From Mathias's competing in and winning Internet Icon Season 2, to his humble beginnings just filming with his brothers (Joseph and Brian) in his home and all the wat to the huge growth his business had gone through. I'd watch that with no hesitation.

I enjoy the silliness and the family feel of everyone in all the channels, but I also really like this vlog explaining kind of the actual business part. It’s good seeing it’s not all fun and games and there is steps needing to be taken before those fun videos are even made. I work in a factory 40 hours a week and sometimes I am super tired and yes annoyed with people I work with, I watch these videos and get a good laugh and sometimes think man why can’t I make videos and get paid to do it then quit my job. I like seeing the vlogs that show it’s not that easy, and a lot of work is put into a video that is 10 minutes long when uploaded. Thank you for all that you and your business community do, these channels really do help me relax after a long day of work and running my kids around to their extra curricular activities

This is what I love. I love seeing the real side of the Studio, the real side of you, and everyone else. You guys have inspired me a lot over the years, so much so that's it's become a dream to one day work at Hi5, and to see how much you're trying to rebuild everything and redirect it into what it always was supposed to be is amazing. I hope you do more of these because I'm definitely interested. And seeing this video brought a whole new energy to what you're doing, in my perspective. It feels authentic. Keep doing what you guys are doing. Can't wait to see what happens in the future! :)
