Personally I find this channel very refreshing and exciting to watch. I have a hunger for knowledge in every aspect of my life, so this channel really feeds that hunger. I completely agree with the statement he made about creativity growing with restrictions! As an aspiring writer and over all creator, i struggle when I’m given to much space to play in, but give me restrictions and I’ll create something fantastic. In addition, I find these videos extremely dense in knowledge and that’s what keeps me watching. Matt has the ability to really break down and simplify something that others would have trouble understanding. While this channel might not be as popular as his other channels, for me, I would have to say that this channel will definitely be apart of my list of favorite UA-cam channels. I love information and the people that can make it simple to understand are truly amazing, hard workers. Keep up the amazing work and God bless.

Matt, seeing you grow from having fun in your backyard with team edge to running multiple channels and managing an amazing team has been a journey, let me tell you. I can remember seeing you get so much happier when starting Hi5 studios and it’s been so cool to see you grow. I personally don’t put the information you give in these videos to use directly, but I still love listening to you speak about these things and learning from what you learnt. I admire your lifestyle and how hard you worked for this. Keep it going man and may this adventure take you to achieve even greater things! When my friends watch my videos they say that it is funny and you should carry on.
However I’m a man of feedback, I love feedback.
And when people give me feedback I know what to improve and make.
But there is a problem people don’t comment as much as I would like and that’s the one thing I want to change.
So my statement is “do thing that you like and do it with your fans suggestions”. Sorry for it being a long comment.

  • @gmv222
    @gmv222 5 років тому +1

I have a suggestion about us making suggestions. Maybe you could make a place, either on your site/blog or somewhere else, where we can directly input our feedback and suggestions towards not only this channel, but all of the others. I just think it'll help keep that stuff organized and even though you'll still have comments down here, it'll give you a place where you can directly see feedback. I'm not sure what you'd use but maybe you could change the "Contact" part of your site to "Feedback" where people can fill out a form with a free response section.

I honestly love this video. He listened to our feedback, he listened to what we had to say about the other channels and he is actively fixing it. The thing is, he isn't just fixing it... he is elevating his team and the studio, he is constantly educating himself in the best way possible. Seriously, the BEST Exec out there right now. He genuinely cares so that everyone can succeed; he is also providing opportunities for his team to improve within the company. I actually am very looking forward to this channel to be informed in the best way possible. I have always looked up to you, Matt and as much as I love your old content, you have matured and developed this awesome company that has helped a lot of people and also impacted a lot of peoples lives. Sorry, I am going on this little rant (if you can call it that) but I am seriously in awe of the growth Matthias has shown throughout his career on UA-cam. Whether it is his growing family, his growing company, etc., I am impressed and inspired! Something I really liked about the matt and Amanda channel was that it could be very educational at times I actually wrote a comment on the last video over there about this. But something I didn’t say was some people like me can find it hard learning from people they don’t know or don’t care about and loose interest real fast but with this channel I find it more easy because you’re the type of person we can all look up to and someone we like to listen to

I printed that article because I create content that I enjoy making and your guide (article) can help me when it comes to creating better content for my audience. Even though I have been making videos for over a year now, there is so much more I would like to do and know when it comes to providing content that is right for my audience. The type of videos that I am doing right now is something I believe it's great, but I know not everyone is interested in one thing. So This week I just filmed my first video for my second channel because I believe that change is important for me when it comes to making great content and my audience can see a different side of me. Thanks Matthias for vlogging again. I think that by watching your videos here can help me learn more about truly creating something wonderful that has a purpose and a mission. Hey Matt,
So my friend and I recently started our UA-cam channel that we’d been planning for a while. Our first video went up a month ago, and the response wasn’t what we were expecting. The comments section was hate comments and it was pretty rough. My friend and I were aware that our first video wasn’t that good. It was mainly a test run to figure out how to work all the widgets and such. Thanks to you though I never once considered quoting or taking it down. You were my inspiration for starting our channel and I’m really excited at to what it will become. So thank you for your inspiration, and hopefully one day we’ll be as great as Hi-5. My friend and I will definitely now sit down and come up with a mission statement for our channel. So thanks Matt your the best.

  • @GoingAllTheWeigh
    @GoingAllTheWeigh 5 років тому +1

I did a mission statement. I’m so glad to hear I wasn’t being too anal retentive about doing it. I come from a corporate administrative assistant background. I wrote goals with threshold, target and stretch goals and did a mission statement. My mission statement was to use UA-cam to hold myself accountable for my weight loss goals while giving people like me a real life look at the struggles and celebrations of losing 300 lbs by being open, honest and transparent, I feel like having my mission statement has completely given me a q&a while I watch my videos to make sure those videos meet those levels. But I’m definitely going to redo it with your formula.

I totally understand and appreciate this channel. I work with companies that are in the lime light all the time and my job is to help transition people from being the ones looking at the bright lights to catching them up with everything behind them. I just wanted to say from a very loving place in my heart that your coming off very timid, definitely babying the audience. Only people that want to see this content will watch it and get it. As far as direction. Motivation and reality. We honestly need more of that. Too many people are trying to hoard knowledge. Or worse give vague images of knowledge only to try to sell pieces of it at a time.

    • @AskMatthias

+1 to "The Exec" I have to say, you're a really good educator with all that passion behind it. Even though I don't plan on making it on You Tube, a lot of what you mentioned relates to the business I plan on making in the near future. Also, the thing about mission statements and how it keeps you focused is key and I like that you acknowledged it. Too many times have I seen either on You Tube or companies in general forget about their audience when money begins to print. I always say if you have a good product and you're passion about it, money will follow regardless. People will support the things they love.
Anyway, keep up the good work! It's been a pleasure watching you create and grow for the last 3 or 4 years.

I love this channel! Whenever I see your team upload vlogs/content and see the creative environment they work in it sparks something inside me. I've been in that creative environment and I miss it. This channel brings in reality and great insight that people don't think about. There's real work that goes into creativity. I want to be back in an environment like this.

I absolutely love where you are planning to go with this channel. Las year, when you were making videos and having those little snippets of business talk at the start of each video, I was just as excited to get those tidbits of knowledge and experience from you as to see the content that the vlog was supposed to be about. While I'm not a UA-cam creator, I have a definite interest in business and a need to learn more about leadership. I can't wait to see more, thank you!

I feels like this allows us to see deeper into the other channels and allows us as the audience to connect on a different level with each other channel even though these videos are specifically about the other channels. I love this channel so far and am not going into video making but it applies a lot to other areas of life. You can use that mission statement template with anything, and I love that about this channel it gets you thinking about your own life not just hi5 studios. So thank you for this video and the previous few. Keep up the great work.
On a separate note, kind of, I think what I love so much about this is that it is current, so we get to see what’s going on currently, where as some of the other channels have videos that were filmed a long time ago, which is fine I understand that editing takes a lot of time, I just find this so fascinating because you are talking about what is going on currently.

Holy moley, I have been doing UA-cam wrong. XD I HAVE been targeting everyone! I always thought that if I was niche then no one would look for or find my content. Then I got to the part about making content YOU want to watch. That hit like a freight train. Now I need to find out what I like to do and watch, and try to make that my niche. Thanks Matt. I really like this transparency. (Oh, something ELSE I like. I guess I'll add that to my channel too!)

Hey Matthias i was thinking of that there should be a way to sponsor the entire studio, like you van do on UA-cam with individual channels. But than for all these channels together. Also just wanna say that is amazing how much u have grown.

The reason why I am into this channel is I want to learn more about being a leader on how to handle different kinds of people. It may not be the same genre as running a studio and creating videos but leadership is still a factor in that. I'm not bored by it and to be honest I'm quite fascinated of the perspective of a leader on how would they think. This is a bit different from the Matthias I know seeing you from the start of team edge until now and I would just like to say I can continue to watch your videos in this channel. Thanks for making a channel that talks about the daily life of a leader and a CEO. Cheers! oh.. and Congrats on the new baby! 😁😁

Matthias you seem to be worrying about the potential and quality of Hi5 videos so here me out :-
    1. You are one of a kind, a person who is constantly in desire for more experience and education, which is an awesome personality.
    2. You take UA-cam as a business and with that mindset, the crew has come pretty far. Amazing!
    3. You need not be over conscious about your channels, they are doing great with your leadership.
    4. I really recommend not keeping the people at Hi5 at complete competition and rush. And I don't think that happens but just in case.
    5. The other thing which effects your Dope or Nope videos, is when you guys start acting weird and exagerate randomly. No, I am serious it looks like we are watching a kid show.
    6. As you mentioned in the video, you have good plans and I hope they turn out well...
    Best of Luck!!

This channel is really awesome. You have intensively explained why a mission statement is vital if someone wants to start a UA-cam channel. Hi5 Studios has grown leaps and bounds from its inception as Team Edge in 2016. In 2019, as it's CEO, you want Hi5 Studios to "get back to the basics" on UA-cam: why do a channel and what type of content. To "getting back to basics", the family just feels the love in their hearts for Hi5 Studios.

    • @AskMatthias

For me I believe it should stem naturally from the belief and the why. When it does, I find that I am far more compelled to see it through than some arbitrary relevance point.

so far i like this channel because, my sister set up her own talent agency with her best friend, and so i know the building that business from the perspective of brother and intern, so seeing more of the business end of the studio and seeing where it converges and diverges from what she's had to do is interesting to me. it sounds like a plug, its not, found entertainment, their ethos echos yours in a way, it marries traditional business with forward thinking contenct and clients. each client is an expert in their field and has a mission statement they work towards.

    Loved this video!
It gave me a tool to start working on my own youtube channel, although i barely call myself a youtuber. It will give me a direction to lean on in order to find out what i want to do, and for what publique i am going to make it.
I truly believe that as a leader, communication will be a strong keypoint! It is important to have an open attitude towards your employees so that they know they can come to you for idea’s, questions, conflicts,...
Taking time to listen to your team is a sign of respect to them! It offers them the opportunity to grow and flourish and especially to learn! I have been in many different worksituations myself, either as a leader or an employee. And i noticed that whenever a leader closes himself off from the team, that the bussiness is doomed to fail.
So i was actually kinda surprised to hear you say that the team is sometimes scared to ask you questions? Maybe something to reflect on? As the image i have of you Matt i think you are very reasonable and open enough to start a conversation with.
Again, another enjoyable video, and i will use the tool to complete my own mission.
Thanks for sharing knowledge, something a lot of people under apreciate, because knowledge is the power to build on your own life.
    Best regards from Belgium

I never thought about applying a Mission Statement to a UA-cam channel before. I mean, it makes sense as you say it.
But I am loving the channel. Informative, thought-provoking, and entertaining! And a lot of this can be applied to stuff outside of YT. And keep "The Exec"! It's simple and clean!

So I know you may be concerned or aware of this channel not getting many views because it is very businessy, but coming from me personally it is actually very helpful and relatable. I am 16 and graduating soon, so things like teamwork, leadership and missions and dreams are very relevant in my life right now. This kind of content is very rare, and I'm not sure why because it is so important and useful to learn the things that you have been sharing. Even though we may not all be youtube creators, this content is applicable to so much more than just youtube. I just want to say thank you for branching out and being unique and different. I hope this is helpful and I'm so excited for this channel and its future potential!
