Mr Inbetween S03E04 - Ray hears of his friend being scammed and trys to get his money back. For more Mr inbetween is currently streeamed on HULU & Disney+
He doesn't know. But there's no cost to him at all in calling their bluff. He already knows the other guy is a bad guy from the beginning, and because of that he doesn't feel compelled to follow any particular set of rules.
That's something that bugs me about a lot of movies and shows. Unrealistic money bundles. Some would have 10 bundles sitting there with $3K each. Worst offenders would have 12 with $2,500 each. Oddly enough, Breaking Bad with their amazing attention to detail did this nonsense when Walt and Jesse Pinkman brought Saul Goodman money in a paper bag. They had rolls going all over the freaking place and it didn't even make sense.
It actually did make sense in breaking bad tho cuz it was an amateur junkie dealer and a square school teacher. They did what they thought would look cool. Which is stupid rolls of money lol
Ray knew from the first moment the guy wasn't going to do the job based on the guy's attitude and body language. You see Ray, he's always calm, but the guy was nervous as hell. Then when pressed, the guy spits the first lie, but gets caught bluffing. After that, the most convenient lie is "I don't have the money anymore, oopsie".
If I were a killer, and I accepted a job from someone, having a stranger come to me telling me that the original person wanted to cancel would seem sus. He basically robbed the guy.
I wish they had promoted this show more in the U.S. Maybe they did and I just don’t remember but I just found out about it a few months ago and really like it.
I have to watch this whole series again......because who knows, you may die........and nobody wants to die without watching the entire Mr Inbetween at least twice.
@@sgtjonzo yes I am Australian, born and raised in Adelaide. I'm telling you - the word Champ, but not Champion, is equally as bad an insult as calling someone a dog. I'm not gonna get into a big debate with you over it, just telling you how it is. You're more than welcome to test my theory.
Love the way Ray is so calm and quietly spoken at the door so the guy doesn’t at first realise the threat infront of him until Ray starts ratcheting up the pressure.
"dead men don't suffer mate" is exactly what is happening to Ray. Death would have been his "easy" way out, but instead he is condemned to live and watch every loved one die 1 by 1, the brother, Zoe and Dave. If he didn't eventually give up his profession in the end, the next one would certainly have been Gary or Britt
as soon as you seen IP man getting his sleeves up, you knew there was trouble incoming... as soon as you see Mr "Inbetween" smiling, just run for your life... best serie ever though xd
ray reminds me of the grim reaper one second no one there, the next, he's at your door ready to collect. he's even bald like a skeleton. eerie stuff, found out the guy playing him FX didn't want him to star, shows what they know lol
Fun fact: Ray's pistol is double action, which means he doesn't have to pull the hammer back before firing. Nothing important, just thought that it's cool
I must have missed something. How was the friend scammed? He paid the guy to do the job, the guy is entitled to be obstructive when the payment is suddenly demanded back by a stranger.
Everytime you see that smile on Ray's face, you know shit's going down.
Sort of same thing every time Frank Lucas was saying "Ma man..." in American Gangster.
There are times when it is good to see Ray smile. Most of the time, you don't want him smiling at you.
YUP. Just like at the very end of the series. People that's the end, but we both know he was gonna come out of that A-OK.

I don’t think ray is offended by that his expression didn’t change also he was patient until the guy kept pushing it
Thanks to this movie, I'll never use that word ever again 😂
is that an insult down under or what?
