- This organic chemistry video tutorial explains the difference between stereoisomers and constitutional isomers. It also shows you how to identify meso compounds, enantiomers, diastereomers, and cis trans geometric isomers. In addition, it discusess chirality - that is, it explains how to determine if a molecule is chiral or achiral due to the presence of an internal plane of symmetry. This stereochemistry based video contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

True 😅
Dude, seriously bless you. Do you know how many lives you make easier? How much stress is being released from us, and pouring out into the ground? You are amazing, your voice is amazing...you're just...simply amazing.
Ariel Star yessss
his voice sucks
@@LiLiSully u suck
This is so funny but also true, I like studying chemistry because of him, i like how he explains all of this stuff so simply, and his voice is so good 😭
Much better than studying with my lecturer
@@LiLiSully it sounds great to me!
When I'm struggling with class, find one of your videos on the exact topic I'm looking for, and hear, "In this video, we are going to..." I feel like everything is gonna turn out well
Omg same, that line is so calming hhahahah
org chem tutor asmr
For real 💯

These 10 minute videos give me more than most 2 hour university lectures. Thank you for making these!
i feel that
wait you are in university ? i am preparing for JEE and I have these

I don’t even study chemistry and I fully understood this - that’s how amazing you are
Same
Yes am also
i've been relying on you for three years now and you've never let me down! now you're helping me study for the MCAT! you're an icon in every way
Did you get in?
@@johnbacon4997i’d like to know too!
The best part about your videos is how relevant each topic is. You describe each topic very clearly and everything is detailed. You’re awesome!! ♥️♥️
I cannot thank you enough! I've read the Kaplan chapters, numerous articles, watched several videos & still- your video is the only one to explain it to me in a way I can actually comprehend!! You are amazing and I hope you never stop teaching!!
The way im always praying for this guy… i just wish him all the best in his life and may it be filled with happiness and success and blessings!
I was about to give up, your video saved me. Thank you
same here
But I won't give up (na na na)

I actually learned something from you man, you're a savior during my chemistry classes. Thanks for making these!
This makes so much sense now and I understood this within the first six minutes. This is something my professor's entire hour-long lecture couldn't accomplish. Bravo, and thank you!
For the first time of my life, I found a educational video that helped me for this much. THANK YOU
My guy, you are the #1 reason I am passing organic chemistry right now 🙌
This is the adult version of Dora. But for real, thank you for helping so many of us pass this class of torture
His patreon is really worth it if you're struggling, full hour videos on certain topics, can't recommend enough for more examples
I've studied this topic multiple times for multiple midterms and exams with lectures videos and notes and never understood this, but I'm 6 mins into this vid and i understand more than ever understood in my entire first year of organic chem
I am studying for Chem 345 in the fall, your videos have really sped up the learning process for me.
This is the best video I have gone through in UA-cam regarding this topic..... Thanking won't be enough!!! You're a Savior man!!
I am studying for the MCAT and have been so confused on this topic. After watching your video I can't believe how simple it is. Thank you so much!!!
How did your MCAT go?
I have my organic chem final in 39 minutes and I cannot believe how quickly I was able to understand this😩 thank you so much
I love you bro you don't know how easy it has been to understand by this video after struggling for 3hrs of lecture for this ❤
The organic chemistry tutor helped me through pre calculus and calculus, physical and general chemistry, and now organic chemistry. He's a life saver😊😊
For the last example aren't there no chiral centers because the carbon is connected to the same thing? Therefore it wouldn't be meso? It would just be an identical compound?
Yes you're right. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
Uff I was also having the same confusion thx for reply sir
The Organic Chemistry Tutor so its indentical right....for meso it should hve chiral carbon with plane of symmetry .....isnt it???
Yeah your right :) what makes a meso compound is the fact that it has a chiral carbon with a plane of symmetry, and that all the chiral centers changed, (just like enantiomer, but with symmetry) if you break down the molecule for the last one, you'll see that its the same on both sides. A chiral center needs to have 4 different groups.
Meso compounds need chiral centers but, have a plane of symmetry.
I'm a chemistry student and I can say your videos are really helpful. You helped me understand many things thank you!
whoa that was so clear considering how short the video was! You gave very suitable questions that clear up most of my misconceptions. Thanks!
Learned more in 10 minutes than 2 weeks of class
I don't know how but you make it lot easier to learn..
You are Amazing sir...
Always had my back while studying Organic....
Hey, I love the video! I think it would help a ton of us folk out if you could do a video like this but with Fisher projections and Chair conformation!!
this video helped me so much more than my professor's lecture!! thank you so much!!!
i don"t thnk so ya7ya ben lefki
You explain everything so well in a way we can understand. Thank you!!
ur 10min video is so much better than my 40min lecture video THANKYOU!
Literally the exact concepts I need, thank you so much for your dedication 🫶🏼
You seriously saved my life. Thank you. You are a blessing.
Your 5 min lecture is worth more than a 1 hr professor lecture
6:13 That explanation is simply epic
You are a national hero. Seriously deserve an award

God bless you, for doing such noble work.
Thanke you so much you are a life saver😅❤
You make organic chemistry very easy and fun to learn for me. Keep it up man.
Guinness book of records should give you most lives saved in the university cos you have saved me alot
thanks more my brother i followed you i scored my best in inorganic chemistry
you’re saving me every single time ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you so much 😢
Thank you. You got recommended just at the right moment. ✨
7 years back video but still gold.... thank you sir
For the last compound, I thought they were identical molecules because there wasn't a chiral center.
That's what he said
He said meso but they are identical
@@mercilezzz They can't be meso compounds because there are no chiral centres.
Meso compounds have identical stereocenters but opposite R and S configuration, they have an internal plane of symmetry
@@mercilezzz What's a stereocenter??
Never heard of that, I thought there were only t chiral centres.
Thanks, better than many lectures
Thanks a zillion. I have doubt in enantiomers and diasteromers since 2 months. No youtube video was to the point. I cant thank you enough. I have my JEE Advanced exam after 3 days, you are a savior !

Seriously I could have a chemistry degree from your videos alone, thank you!
this made me less confused frfrfr thank u sm >
For the last example in the video, the compounds are NOT meso, since they lack chiral centers. A meso compound requires the presence of 2 or more chiral centers in it in addition to the plane of symmetry
ur the best man, thank you so much
